So far things have been not just okay, but perfect, just so long as he's there

One date, she needs to go use the bathroom in public and has a panic attack, but he scoops her up and carries her off to a quiet place where it's just them, sits down and places his forehead against hers, quietly calming her down as best he can

When it turns into a kiss, it's unclear who started it, and neither withdraw, simply going with whatever feels natural

From then on, she starts feeling braver, wanting to dress up to impress her brother, and it makes him blush when he realizes— he's actually pretty easy to fluster when it's her doing it.

He makes her feel safe in a way that she never knew she could, and when he wraps his arm around her waist in their booth, she wiggles in a little closer.

The server gossips to her coworkers, talking about how romantic the two of them are, and how she wishes she could find a guy like that. The siblings overhear, and the sister can't help but giggle.
