I actually never considered renfield would just be overhearing him considering how "immense" the asylum is. I figure his office would be out of range and between too many walls for renfield to hear him (potentially in another hall). I always interpreted that as his psychic connection to Dracula letting him in on things he shouldn't know.

now that I know Seward would refer to Renfield as "the fly-man" in the original manuscript I can't stop thinking about it

okay it’s come to my attention that absolutely NONE OF YOU know ANYTHING about how cutie marks work. let me say this simply. a cutie mark isn’t a job being assigned, it’s a special TALENT OR SKILL that the pony enjoys. Most of the time it has a directly transferable job for that skill, like if you enjoy baking and are super good at it WOW! baker. If you are really good at writing and telling stories, author. However, there are some cutie marks that could go multiple ways.

twilight sparkle has exceptional magic ability, so she became a scholar, but she could really do anything that required a good magic skill. same with rainbow dash, her weather controlling job isn’t directly linked to her cutie mark, but it does fit the bill for the job.

i was posed the question of what would a murderer pony’s cutie mark be and wouldn’t everyone know. NO. if somehow murder were to be a special skill, the cutie mark might be something like a knife or a shovel. other ponies might just assume you’re good at cooking or gardening. now with cutie marks like apple jacks, their family has a ‘green thumb’ kind of deal so obviously the cutie mark would be hereditary.

so, the reason i made this post. walter white pony’s cutie mark would NOT be blue crystals. it would be a CHEMISTRY FLASK.

Like I just found out there's a sect of Moral Orel fans that love the minor side character Dolly Forghetty (I love that show and I had to look up her name) and make fancams of her that are 50% her appearances as an extra in the background. Jon is the type of guy who straight up forgets trespassing is a crime. Mr. "my grandmother threatened to lock me up because the police kept catching my 8 year-old ass in random places." Even before paranoia made him reckless he was getting into shit like the worlds most curiosity motivated cat. Internal compass having motherfucker. Old lady home invader. Discovering that there was a massive tunnel complex under the institute mustve been a little like Evil Christmas to him. Martin has to have looked him dead in the eyes at some point while his trespasser boyfriend tries to tell him its fine to have a peak inside an abandoned taco bell because he "just wants to see whats in there 😐🧍" then suggests they take a shortcut through a hole in some barbed wire fences to pass through an active railyard on their way home.

I've seen a few beefy renfield designs (which I love), but in the book I know he's described as a "feeble madman" despite his notable strength. Is there a description of him as muscular in the book that I'm forgetting? I've been interpreting him as looking much scrawnier than he should be, sort of as another indication that something is off vampire-style. Or, are any of y'all interpreting "feeble madman" as more of a metaphorical/derogatory thing?

Sami went to this place today to bring some flour for his large family who are suffering like many people in Gaza. Sami is putting himself in danger in order to feed his family. He could have bought flour, but there is no source of income for him and his family because of the lack of life and the complete destruction of the infrastructure. Even baby milk is only available at very high prices. Netanyahu says all the people of Gaza must be killed. Even the children must be killed in his view because they were born there. Donate anything to Sami's family, anything that saves their lives.

My husband (has cancer) is a frequent customer of a local family-run pharmacy. It’s much more personal and welcoming there than at a chain pharmacy — they recognize us and I feel very comfortable asking them questions about medications (husband currently has a lot).

Anyway this week my husband’s prior authorization for a medication was delayed and he decided he would pay the out-of-pocket cost rather than wait a couple days for medicine he needs to go to work. It was a $100 prescription so this was tough but not earth-shattering.

Anyway; the lead pharmacist noticed that he was being charged for his normally-insured medication, asked him about it, and took 50% off as a gift. He said every year at Christmas they have staff and community contribute to a fund to help people pay for medications, and whenever a usual customer is facing an unexpected charge, they can cover some of the cost.
