TMSA 29 Status Update

I have a tendency of writing updates in the AO3 author's notes of my most recent chapter. I thought for this I would share it here as well.

I just wanted to let y'all know that I am so, so, so, close to finishing chapter 29. I have one scene to finish as well as the epilogue, but then the draft is done! Then it'll just have to go through beta and will be ready for y'all. As of today, it's sitting at 14k words. If I manage to hit 16.8k, TMSA will hit the 200k total wc milestone. I'm going to do my best not to pad it just in the hopes of hitting that milestone, but if it happens to hit it, that would be pretty fucking cool.

Thank you as always for your patience. I know I haven't posted a chapter in months. I have a habit of working on TMSA and then pumping out one-shots to give myself a little break so I can come back to the chapter with fresh eyes. The breaks definitely seem to help cause I literally wrote 3k words today. (PSA: Take breaks!)

Anyway, I'm rambling now. No telling how many of y'all will actually read this.

As a wheelchair user I'm trying to reframe my language for "being in the way."

"I'm in the way," "I can't fit," and "I can't go there," is becoming "there's not enough space," "the walkway is too narrow," and "that place isn't accessible."

It's a small change, but to me it feels as if I'm redirecting blame from myself to the people that made these places inaccessible in the first place. I don't want people to just think that they're helping me, I want them to think that they're making up for someone else's wrongdoing. I want them to remember every time I've needed help as something someone else caused.
