I know I don’t take the sexiest screenshots but it gets the point across.

This is the Maxis “Thrice as Nice” floor lamp recolored in all 42 (yes, 42. I’m insane) of curiousB’s colors. This was a request by Original_Sim at Mod the Sims.

Not all colors are shown. But they’re awesome. Just visit curiousB’s color page linked above to see all the colors provided.

Won’t be touching these colors for a while. But I made good on my promise.

[TS4] Fixed - Plasticbox’s Bookcases

I just started playing Sims 4 again after downloading some really helpful mods that stop me from scratching my eyes out and I love small houses. Bookcases are too damn big in this game (along with pretty much everything else) and Plasticbox’s bookcases (”Intellect” and “Cordelia”) were a great solution but weren’t updated / were kinda broken (at least in my game). It also lead me down the rabbit hole to fixing some other PB bookcases.

PB hasn’t been around for a long time and I just updated these for my game, so I thought I’d offer them here (and dust off my simblr. do we simmer cool kids still use “simblr”?).

Fixed versions of “Intellect” bookcases, “Cordelia” bookcases, “Moderate” bookcase and “Subordinate” bookcase all by Plasticbox.

AFAIK, the Subordinate and Moderate bookcases by Plasticbox are required in your game so the swatches / recolors on Cordelia and Intellect work properly.

/dusts off fingers Well, welcome to my first shared piece of CC on this blog! Today I’m sharing some terrain paints with a sand texture taken from @miss-nightmare-sims‘ neon sands.  Creatively, I’m calling them New Neon Sands!

I love using the originals in my game, but wanted some more colour choices, so I’ve recoloured them in all 12 of FurbyQ’s unnaturals and 28 of Pooklet’s (including a few of her ‘outdated’ colours like C-3). Labelled clearly so you can pick and choose, unless you really want all 40. I find they look best used within the same colour group, since FurbyQ’s colours give off much more contrast they can look a little odd paired with Pooklet’s here.

I already have one on my navigation page! I don’t use any PS actions anymore though, I use .psd files instead.

Still having issues with the textures but I can work around (most) of the problems by making door-specific recolors.

Thanks to @hugelunatic for recommending a more-updated mesh though!

117 extracted textures later, and they break doors & windows

I spent the last three days or so extracting a ridiculous amount of wall paneling from TS4 and was about twenty into creating them as wall overlays for TS2 when I decided to try them in-game.

Aaaaand they break doors and windows.

Any help would be really appreciated. Since I would rather not have to trash three days of work.

Any tips or suggestions?

I’ve been where you are. And I’m really sorry someone else has to go through hardships like this. Really, truly, I’m in tears right now because I’ve been there with no one to help. That overwhelming sense of wanting to scream and no one’s around to understand is unbearable.

I know $10 is shit to everyone, but it’s all I could give. I hope you can at least buy some ice with this, honey. Bless. Keep your chin up, love. Things will start to get better.

Out of Options

The fridge took most of our groceries with it when it died. Yesterday we pawned the TV to get enough to buy a cooler and some ice (which is already needing replaced). We got enough food for dinner last night, but are now up the metaphorical creek again.  Life just keeps kicking us. I’m not sure how much more I can handle. It’s so disheartening. We probably wont be able to get a new fridge for like 7 months. I’m trying to stay positive, but it still all catches up with me several times a day and I just start crying.
