Wally read over the paper carefully, still only taking a second due to his speed and looked up to her. She was right, there was a database.
Bats was always very throughout about all of them, even not those included in the League. And she did need help. The Watchtower had that help.
“I’ll take you to the watchtower.”
Kole recalled hearing about the Watchtower, though she’d never actually seen it. The place where the Justice League was supposed to be, most of her old teammates seemed to either hate them or look up to them.
“Thank you.” A place like that would likely have the proper medical equipment.

“A difference between death and freedom?” Jasmine clarifies, a little bit concerned by the question. “Yes, definitely. Death is an end to things and comes with very few choices. Freedom is a beginning, the ability to choose from many paths.”
“Yes, but you’re still free to choose when it comes to death.” For the most part anyway. Death was a lot easier to get than freedom, even if it was kind of boring.

“Really? Not more information?” Flash frowned somewhat. This would complicate things.
On one hand she seemed to know the Titans, on the other it could just be a ruse. Wally was very trusting but even he knew that this was not much information to go on. To get her up into the Watchtower to check her out.
“I don’t think so.”
She died, came back, used to be with the Titans, that summed up everything. Kole flipped the paper over, writing a few more words down.
“You don’t seem to trust me very much, not that I can blame you for that. If you don’t believe me, I think there was some sort of database on heroes, supposed dead ones included. If that’s not enough, if you know one of them, then you could ask them.”

“Try,” Jasmine signed, a suggestion, not a command. Talking about issues, even if it’s difficult to find the right words, is usually helpful.
And she wants to help.
“There’s no rush; I can wait if you need to take your time.”
“... Is there even a difference between the two?”
She feels somewhat trapped again. At least she has the option of waiting, hopefully forever. This couldn’t be properly explained, in her mind that meant it might be best to forget.

Freedom, the power to act or think without restraint, not being imprisoned or enslaved.
“I don’t know if I can.”
By those definitions, Kole hadn’t been a free person for a long time. Even in death, she had been brought back to fight against her friends, or brought back so she could produce crystals.
When she thought about it, she might not have even been free during her childhood, or even when she had joined the Titans. The thought terrified her, that her only true moments of freedom were when she was in the afterlife.

Once he got her consent he stood beside her and gently picked her up. “Just a second, close your eyes if you’re feeling too unwell,” he warned her with a soft nod and was gone then.
Up on one of the many rooftops of Central. Once there he gently let her go again. Here they could talk more freely and he could determine if he should get her up into the Watchtower.
Well, that was fast. While she was fast when she could fly, it was much different when someone was carrying you.
This was a better location... wherever this was. They were likely still in the same city, and she just didn’t know it well enough to recognize it.
“I don’t think there’s anything else to talk about.”

「THE FLASH SENTENCE MEME [PT.1]」
‘ my dad gave me that pen before he died ’ ‘ bad man, with a gun, in a getaway car. go! ’ ‘ i used to think the farther away i got from it, the less it would hurt. ’ ‘ no one will ever know what they did. ’ ‘ i am dating /name/ whether you like it or not. ’ ‘ if you had just told me, i could have been prepared. ’ ‘ what is wrong with us? we’re perfectly perfect for eachother. ’ ‘ we’re sitting here pining for people we can’t have. ’ ‘ he’s so hot… i mean, genetically speaking. ’ ‘ i look forwards to seeing you accept your nobel. ’ ‘ with or without your /x/, you’re still you. ’ ‘ you’re worth being on time for. ’ ‘ you know, to be honest, not exactly the partnership i thought it would be. ’ ‘ my money’s on experience. ’ ‘ there’s one more thing and i don’t think you’re going to like it. ’ ‘ it’s your destiny to lose to me. ’ ‘ you know, at this rate, we’ll be done by easter. ’ ‘ do whatever you want to me, but leave /name/ alone. ’ ‘ that film is surprisingly scientifically accurate. ’ ‘ are they going to hear you die? ’ ‘ he was mostly a jerk. but every so often, he was a dick. ’ ‘ he has helped so many people! he’s not a murderer! ’ ‘ perhaps now i’m a light beer man/woman. ’ ‘ we were under a bridge eating garbage. ’ ‘ uh, you know that’s a myth, right? ’ ‘ things between us have gotten a little bit complicated… again. ’ ‘ i just saved a lot of lives. ’ ‘ i warned you not to mess with the timeline. ’

“Look,” this was all just a mess and he was more confused than before. The first thing they should do was get somewhere, where they could talk.
“How about we leave this place first. May I carry you? We can be somewhere else in seconds. Unless you’re in too much pain.”
The sooner they left, the better. She looked at him and nodded.
It was also for the best that she got help as soon as possible. Sure, she was alive again, but she didn’t know if she had any internal injuries, or if something went wrong with the creation of this body.

“Okay,” he said again and just looked at her. This might get more difficult than he thought. The information was few and far in between and the police would probably show up at some point too. Just because he said he would deal with it doesn’t mean they would ignore it.
“When you got them last time? You don’t have your powers?”
“Not right now, they weren’t exactly natural. But I’m pretty sure whoever brought me back grafted my skin again.”
The police did in fact show up, as indicated by the approaching sirens. This was the last thing she needed at the moment, maybe she could slip out the back?

My muse had fallen unconcious in a deadly situation, yours has been kind enough to carry them to safety. Send me a ☠ for their reaction to waking up in your character’s arms.

“Okay,” he simply replied and came a bit closer. “Is there anything I need to know? Why are your powers dangerous?” He asked curiously but motioned for her to get out of the rooms.
“We’ll deal with your problem first. What exactly is going on?”
“Not dangerous. It just hurt a lot the last time I got them.”
It wasn’t like it was supposed to hurt last time. Her father had tried to ease the pain to no avail. But it was fine, it was over for now. She wasn’t looking forward to it, but if her powers weren’t with her at the moment...
“I don’t know.”
