the experience of using a phone is so interesting?
You merge into your phone, one with the machine. It becomes your universe. It comes so naturally, the fusion between you and the machine- you truly are an unacknowledged cyborg, soaring through applications as naturally as breathing. Until the connection snaps. You get distracted, the phone freezes, something of that nature and then suddenly, you and the phone are separate again. It's just an object, external and rectangular and heavy in your hands.
#aka i have been reading into phenomenology lately :3#FUCK IDK IF I SHOULD POST THIS TO MY PHILOSOPHISING BLOG OR MY MAIN#see this IS me philsophising#but also it's 3 am thing i wrote up in 5 minutes#ans not rq related#fuck it. I MADE THIS BLOG FOR PHILOSOPHISING SO PHILSOPHISING IT WILL BE#and this is literally me stealing heiddeger's concept of like sein and desein and that type of thing#didn't he talk abt only noticing a hammer as a thing to be noticed once it breaks or smth goes wrong. then it becomes the hammer-thing#so i just thought it was interesting to see how it applied to something as immersive as a smartphone!!!! :333#philosophy#phenomenology#also ok this stopped being a 5 minute write up after the 5th draft/revision/rewrite XD#i think a rly rly short snappy ending sentence would be good from a literary perspective bjt can't think of anything

This is really really interesting to read! :0
It's also interesting to compare this to my own experiences- for one, I think mine are a lot less intense, but also mine tend to all be based around external, shared reality. I was never that good at withdrawing into my own head with imagination, instead I have a tendency of editing what I'm already doing within shared external reality.
Also having a multitude of identities is really fascinating! Would you identify as plural in relation to that?
AAAAAA this is genuinely all so interesting! Hmm, would you have any thoughts on the "realness" of your fantasy? Since you talk about real not being appealing to you, how do you conceptualise your fantasy, and also the meaning of the word "real"? (I'm not sure if that makes sense since language gets kinda complicated when trying to talk about stuff like that, but yeah basically I'd love to hear any of your thoughts! And like figuring out how beings use words such as "real" is always rly cool :3)
This is mostly just me jotting down thoughts, but it's interesting how different transid modes can prove interesting philosophically in different ways:
bodily autonomy and freedom: for beings wishing to transition, being transid is inherently connected to the fight for bodily autonomy
thoughts + desires not having to be reflected in reality: for transids that would be harmful if acted out irl, it's an interesting way of emphasising how the world of desires and identity is different than the world of (shared) reality
rejecting shared reality: certain transid users consider themselves to BE certain things that they would be considered "objectively" not to be. This is what I'm most insane about. You can identify as having experiences that you didn't have in shared reality. You can identify as having physical traits that other people can't see. I intentionally craft a personal reality that differs from shared reality, and I consider that to be just as true as the "real world". LIKE THIS IS ABSOLUTELY INSANE PHILOSOPHICALLY SPEAKING
this definitely ties into saneism related things, please tell me if there's a -normativity for experienced world
this is also the reason why I need to read into ontology, because I have the urge to use the word "ontologically" here but am worried about using it wrong
and with all of them, the possibility of voluntary transids adds another layer- so much of discourse is focused around certain things not being a choice, (queer rights, sysmed rhetoric, a lot of rhetoric within alterhuman+ spaces, disability advocacy, etc), so the idea that you can CHOOSE something like this with no moral difference is also quite fascinating :3

i am aware of the term "consensus reality", but I've mostly seen it in relation to discussion about psychosis, so I wasn't sure if it would be relevant here. i should check if there's a coining post or anything! >:3 and also im not sure if it would be possible to use that as a similar type of meaning to heteronormativity or cisnormativity or whatever? hmm
