Appearance: A slender feminine doll wearing a Minstrel’s outfit in white with silver lining. A Venetian mask covers the top half of her face, leaving the pale ‘skin’ of her mouth and chin visible. Her lips are painted red, with a pink blush on her cheeks. She always carries her lute with her - a six stringed instrument with a theme of the stars and moon carved into its body.

Personality: Thoughtful, quiet, polite. Seemingly more interested in music than people. Questionable understanding of the world. Has a curious heart.

Background:

Her creator made her with the purpose of being a musical automaton. The creator, a Scarecrow by the name of Abigor (unrelated to the Demon), had no idea of the power that he worked into her body - not realising that the latent energies were forming a persona of its own. It wasn’t until after an accident that involved the automaton being damaged did Minstrel awaken, surprising Abigor as he worked on her.       Of course, the Scarecrow was wary of her - for it was not unknown for devious spirits to possess bodies, but once his fears had been sated he grew a fondness for her, taking her in not as the machine she was created to be but as a child of his own. She had an innate ability to play music, soon favouring the old lute that Abigor owned, and had happily given to her 1 year after her awakening.      It wasn’t until she had been awake for 16 years did Abigor seek to urge her to go out into the world, having taught her how to cast magic through her music - a way for her to protect herself. She made a living as a travelling Minstrel, as was her original purpose, and yet during the three years of her travels she found herself at odds with those she met. For she was treated as different, perhaps undeserving of true compassion.

And so she sought to change this, to ‘fix’ herself.
