gotta mention: her name before she turned 18 was dorothea goldman, she always hated it and as soon as she could she changed it, silver because she’s not goldman (lmao im so NOT CLEVER im trying) and kiddo as in beatrix kiddo, black mamba, kill bill? cuz well she’s extra like that and she really thinks she could kill anyone if she needed to

street fighting was pretty much her thing since she was very young and even though she ended up beaten up af at some points, she got pretty good over the years and will most definitely kick your ass if you try and cross her (or her loved ones.... IF SHE GETS ANY)

personality wise i would say she’s pretty cold and hard to get to know, especially since she just arrived five months ago in a stolen car with a brand new name and wanting a fresh start, so her past in completely buried with her old name. she’s funny if you’re into dry-sarcastic... kinda weird humour? i think in some level she wants some of the traditional things she missed out on basically all of her life, maybe making friends... making steady connections... and overall having a completely different life from before. she acts like she doesn’t give a fuck about anything bc well, that was the only way she had to survive some hard shit... but deep down i think she cares, even though she would NEVER admit it out loud    

0% victim mentality on her, she actually hates seeing people blaming the world for their misfortunes... she knows damn well u make ur own path and all that cheesy crap, though that can make her kind of judgemental and not so empathic

she works as a waitress at the bucking horse saloon and lives in midtown at the silver (lmao) spurs tenenment

BIOGRAPHY,

“A little girl who grew up too fast.” The words that most therapists used to explain the reasons of such erratic behavior at such a young age. Being abandoned in the hospital as a newborn by her teenage mother, the foster care system is the only world Dorothea Silver ever knew. Her anger started to show at a really young age, to the point that she was expelled from day care centers, and by the age of eight, she had been bounced through over a dozen foster homes. It was simple, she was way too hard to deal with. She was terrible at making friends, would always get into fights and had a huge problem with authority figures. And it was all explained by the simple reason that she knew that she was, essentially, alone. She would hear these promises from social workers that it would all get better one day, she could have a family and a normal life. But she didn’t believe them. The only thing she could do was watch her back and learn to take care of herself.

By the time she was thirteen, she was known by the local police she’d been arrested quite a few times, and was overall the stereotype of a “troubled girl”. Nobody would take her, and no family would tolerate her as their responsibility for more than three months. But she was okay with it. She was doing her own thing. Stealing. Shoplifting. Street fighting. And well, she was pretty damn good at all of those things. But of course, that’s not something to be proud of.

Her teenage years weren’t easy, but most of the things that shaped her into who she is today, happened during that time. She suffered abuse after abuse, and even though she never failed to defend herself, it was hard because it was common that the families recurred to physical punishment whilst trying to fix her behavior. She did her best to try and stay cold and unbothered about it, even though she was completely aware of the many faults and shortcomings of the damn system that she was stuck in. She never saw herself as a victim, and hates victim mentality. The girl just wanted to escape it all and for that, she needed to wait until she was old enough.

Her eighteenth birthday was probably the happiest day of her life, because she was finally free to do what she’d been planning for a while: Escape. Being stuck in that “victim of the system” life was not an option. As soon as she was able to, she moved away. She got a job, saved up some money and after a year, she had started the petition to change her name. One, because she’d always hated the name Dorothea, and two, because she was ready to leave that identity behind. After the paperwork and procedure was done, Silver Kiddo was brought to life and Dorothea Goldman was buried in the past. Soon after, she was on the highway in a stolen car, driving away. Picking a road and going anywhere. To a place far away where no one knew who she was and she could start all over.

And that’s exactly how, five months ago, she arrived at Boot Hill. She didn’t second guess how she’d ended up in that town, she just went with it. After a few weeks, she’d manage to sell the car she arrived and get enough money to settle down in an apartment. Soon enough, she’d landed a job as a waitress at the Bucking Horse Saloon. What she wanted was to be a bouncer, but unfortunately, “street fighting” doesn’t really count as experience for that job. Silver has no plans to leave the town anytime soon, as she finally has the freedom and fresh start she always craved.
