one of my friends from high school is talking about the first book she's going to read to her future child and that's like, the cutest tradition i've ever heard!
however, i have nothing to share. the first book that was ever read to my kid was a fuckin harlan coben novel that my stepdad was reading out loud to them like, the day after i had them. the second was my little brother's latin homework. i'm so #aestheticparenting.

today an old man told me that it was nice to see that my husband was keeping me barefoot and pregnant-- because you don't see that much anymore with women these days (presumably because of feminism or woke or whatever).

my wife did indeed get accepted into the med school of her choice and i am!!!! unbelievably ecstatic for her
however,
that means there's a 97% possibility that we're moving to california in the very near future
where tf am i gonna put my chickens :( agh
#technically i lived in california upon initially moving to the us#but i'm not entirely eager to go back#that also means leaving her moms and my mother + stepdad....... and my weird old house that i've spent so much time curating the decor for#and my homeschool group for phoenix... and my job that works really well with having a new baby...#it wouldn't be permanent and i'd be near seiji's sisters + one of my uncles. but still................ :( i'm kinda really sad#but like! she's going to be a pediatrician (that's the goal at least) and it's perfect for her and i'm so happy for her#it's just the process of change and leaving the people you love with all of your heart and soul that hurts a little you know?#aghhhhhh#it's probably around an 11 hour drive but like. with a baby....#hey remember when *i* was a premed student? then i got sucked into the classicist vortex#okay i'm done complaining. the only social media i still use is tumblr so that's what i get <3#not 2 be an oregon resident or anything#life.txt
