Yzak waited at the altar, unusually nervous for some reason. This had been arranged for a while, they had plenty of time to plan and think about their future together. So why was he feeling so green? Dearka told him it was just pre-wedding jitters. He looked at his former enemy turned brother-in-law, Kira Yamato, who was smiling serenely. Not an ounce of worry on his face. If he was okay with this, then Yzak should be fine.

The music started and he turned automatically to see his bride walk down the aisle. She was beautiful, naturally, and all eyes watched as she made her way to him. For the first time, Yzak's mouth felt dry and he had no idea what to say. He could only imagine what Zala would say about this. The man was likely here in attendance, probably in disguise. Yzak fought the urge to look for his rival and maintained eye contact with his bride. He took her hand as she ascended the steps to the altar and smiled at her. Hopefully she could see how proud and happy he was in that moment. Despite the war and their rocky history, this felt like the best day of his life.

"Let us begin." The officiant held up their hands and the gathered crowd sat. They would exchange vows and soon be wed. He only had to get through the ceremony.

The recent war was coming to a close. She had been promoted to commander and yzak to general. The wedding was today and she was getting nervous. Kira was allowed to attend due to the fact that he was now with zaft and a captain of his own vessel. He had already been married to lacus for about a year now. Mostly they got married in secret.

Seems like everyone was moving forward with their lives and lacus pregnant with natural baby. Was due in about four months. So everyone was busy on all fronts.
