Sansa at School | First Ever Field Trip and Joining an After School Club

Though it was only her second day of school, Sansa had her first field trip - to the Mausoleum! And besides getting told off for poking a skull, Sansa had a wonderful trip. Also, I'm not entirely sure why her teacher felt the need to run away as soon as the trip ended... maybe he's not a fan of being around the dead?

After the trip, Sansa went back to school to sign up for an after school activity. Though she is a fan of girlyness and pink, Sansa went for Scouts instead to work on some more physical skills. Maybe she's going to take after her father (an Angler), but at any rate, she should already have a basic skill in music, art and logic down from her childhood play and the books her parents read her. And I know that I can't wait to see her in her Scout uniform! 

However, I get the feeling that her passion might go more after her mother's talents and she might end up in an artistic job.

Fun, Fun and Family Time

Sansa liked this toy when she was a toddler, but she really loves it now she's old enough to play on it by herself! And it's even pink, her favourite colour!

She also had fun playing on the see saw with her dad, for a little while...

And finally, the two sat down to work on her first ever homework assignment together. Everything's easier with a little help!

Sansa Nemona | Made Over

I usually hate how my Sims age up in childhood, because they always seem to get horrible outfits that don't suit them (like Sansa wearing a denim jacket for her formal wear - really?) and usually don't have the hair style I'd want for them. So, here's Sansa with her made over hair and outfit:

Nemona House Update | Sansa Nemona's room

Although Sansa might end up sharing a room with Helena (it's actually probably going to have to be the case because I don't fancy another expansion), this is Sansa's room for the time being!

I imagine if I do move Helena into the room with Sansa, I'll switch the loft bed for a bunk bed and maybe sell the desk.

Sansa Nemona | An Eventful Birthday Party

Danae wanted to throw Sansa a birthday party (her birthday was only a day after Helena's) and so decided to throw a small formal gathering. Danae and Gerard were as cute as ever, especially Danae in her lovely maternity formal wear.

The only guests were really Danae's old roommate, Hayley Lu (pictured on the right with Helena) and Hayley's daughter Gigi (pictured feeling Danae's bump). 

Danae took Sansa to the birthday cake to blow out her candles...

However, just as Sansa blew out the candles, Danae went into labour! Safe to say that Gerard wasn't very calm this time, and neither was Hayley... (also, I can't resist screenshots of labour, they're always absolute gold)

Sansa ages up just as her mother and father leave for the hospital in an interesting formal outfit, and Hayley continues to freak out.

Tired after an eventful birthday, alone in the house with Helena and a teenage babysitter who preferred to dance in the back yard, Sansa gives her little sister a hug (I can't resist children hugging toddlers in the Sims, it's too cute)

And, with Sansa and Helena sleeping soundly, Danae and Gerard returned home late with their third (and I suspect final, the house isn't really big enough for any more) child and their first son, George Nemona (I just rolled his traits and he got Grumpy and Athletic)

Tiring

While Danae might be an expert at childcare and taking care of other people's children, I think looking after your own kids while being pregnant is probably much harder than keeping six kids that aren't your own happy!

Sisters

While toddlers (unfortunately) can't really interact with each other, there's something sweet about seeing Sansa and Helena together and playing with their new play table...

And adorably, Danae tells Sansa and Helena a story out on the porch after dinner.

Pregnant Again & Birthday Girl

Pregnant again, Danae gets back to playing guitar, and masters the guitar skill while she's at it. 

And it's time for Helena to age up into a toddler! It was just a quiet birthday, since it's not one of the more exciting ones.

Gerard and Danae both had wishes to have another child with each other, so Gerard kicked things into action for baby #3...

Danae was still off work on maternity leave from having Helena, so took the time to read Sansa some educational books to improve her skills for the future (university here we come, Sansa!)

Not forgetting Helena, Gerard enjoys a bottle feed with his second born.

Helena Nemona | An Imaginary Friend in the Family

I was a little bit disappointed when Sansa didn't get an Imaginary Friend doll in the mail, mostly because she's almost certainly going to be the one I focus on as she is technically the 'heir' (although this isn't a legacy blog or anything, I am kind of trying to play it a little like that by focusing on the first born). However, Helena has one, which feels better now that I think about it because I might have her work hard and turn her Imaginary Friend real when she's older and have her date him. I do like my primary Sim to have nieces and nephews so their children have cousins to play with, so I guess this works out well! Anyway, here they both are (I haven't actually named her Imaginary Friend yet because my game crashed, so I'll do that soon).

Nemona House | Expansion: Basement

Since I decided that I ought to move around the furniture in the lounge, like so...

In order to make it a little bit more family friendly (as it's quite small and when everyone's there you get a lot of angry Sims who can't get to where they want to go - it was especially bad when they had guests over as no one could move at all). So, since I didn't really have a good place to put the TV, and with baby Helena joining the family, I decided it was time for an expansion.

However, since the house itself is so beautiful and well designed, and I'm not much of an architect, I decided to build a large basement underneath the house instead. I was really aiming for a den type of basement, that's mostly there for Gerard's sake but can also be enjoyed by the rest of the family, and by guests. 

This is how it looks from outside the house:

I put down the foundations, similar to their patio, in order to disguise the stairway, and threw in a few plants to make it look a little more interesting and more like a garden area than stairs (I've always been fond of the secret entrance). I chose to make the entrance to the basement outside of the house mostly out of necessity, as there weren't any practical places to put stairs down within the house.

And here's the main attraction: the TV, video game console, and a bar in the corner. As a Couch Potato, Gerard has already been down here every day because he loves his TV so much. There's also a small pile of magazines and a candle, which I like to think are Danae's little touches (or maybe it just stinks down there).  I also decided to buy a foosball table, because it seemed appropriate, and I'm sure it'll be a hit at parties.

There's also a small bathroom behind/to the side of the stairs in the far corner. Nothing exciting, but I figured if we have parties, it's good to have a spare bathroom and also more convenient for anyone down in the basement.

And there we have the Nemona's new basement! I've been considering buying an exercise machine, but since no one in the family is likely to use it right now, I've decided to put off.

The Baby's Coming!

Danae happened to be in the middle of a painting as she went into labour. Pleasantly, Gerard seemed totally unphased by the labour and didn't freak out once, he just came out onto the balcony and then they grouped up to go to the hospital.

However, he did suddenly burst into a run as soon as they arrived at the hospital...

Only to be left waiting at the door as Danae slowly waddled over, yawning (but to be fair, it was about 3am by this point). 

And, remarkably quickly, the second Nemona baby was born! Meet Helena Nemona, whose traits are Loves the Outdoors and Genius.

Pregnancy (taking it easy)

With time off from her Daycare work and not having to worry about writing novels and reaching her Professional Author LW this time around, Danae is having a more laid back pregnancy. Barbecues, being lazy and playing a little guitar are how Danae seems to like spending her pregnancy. 

And of course, Gerard is overjoyed about baby #2 (they're probably one of my favourite Sim couples ever, they're so cute and neither of them have issues with being faithful even with high free will, which is more than seems to be said for most other Sim couples in this game).

Long story short, I stopped playing the Sims for a while, and when I went back to it a few weeks ago, I wasn't really interested in playing as my old family any more. I started fresh with a Sim called Danae Nemona (sort of half named after Dany from Game of Thrones/ASoIaF) in the daycare career path, because I'd never played it before and wanted to give it a go. I think I'll start posting again soon, even though I've gone through her whole YA stage and didn't really screenshot much of it (and I usually play on a fairly long life span, although I can't remember how long off the top of my head as it's a custom one). 

Long story not cut short/Danae Nemona's history:

She started off on an empty plot of land, where I built her a small house (like, really severely small, it was basically one room with a 2x2 bathroom) and a modest sized room for her daycare (I wanted them separate so I could keep the kids out of her room). I did initially intend to have her earn money until she could build a nice big house, but I didn't really go that way. She dated a couple of guys, including one very rich one who still asks her out on a regular basis even though she's now married (with an Eternally Faithful reputation) though she had an 'Exploring Her Options' reputation at the time. She then moved into a small house in the neighbourhood with two bedrooms and got two new roommates (in that I moved them in for her), Kitty Lu and Alesander Turskovsky (I made that surname up, I didn't realise how close it was to a real surname either). She started a relationship with Alesander, and since he was sleeping in her room, I moved in a new roommate, Hayley Franco. Danae got on well with her career and moved up to level 3 in daycare, and also worked on writing some novels in her time off (her lifetime wish, recently completed, was Professional Author). Alesander started cheating on Danae (I was starting to get bored, basically) and Kitty and Hayley started a relationship. Hayley caught Alesander cheating and Danae found out. The three girls hated him, and after a few days of yelling at him, attacking him (Hayley, who was in the military at the time (she's now in the police) beat the crap out of him twice and he got slapped A LOT) and generally getting angry whenever they saw him, Alesander moved out. With that excitement over, Hayley and Kitty got married and one guest (one of those people who shows up to your party uninvited and you have never even seen them before - I always wonder why they have a habit of crashing children's birthday parties, but oh well) was immediately attracted to Danae. Since he was cute enough and they had a lot in common, they started seeing each other. At first, Danae seemed to be thinking about/crying over Alesander a lot, but eventually the pair become a couple. I really liked his house, so I went into edit town to split her off from Kitty and Hayley (who adopted a child, Gigi; she's now a teenager) and moved her into her new boyfriend's house (Gerard Middleton, now Gerard Nemona since I accidentally did the marriage bit the wrong way). She carried on with her daycare, and he started work in the Education career (he was previously unemployed). He proposed, and they got married about a week later privately. At the time of their wedding, they had about 20k simoleons, but they were fortunate enough to get a wedding gift worth 50k and others totalling around 10k, which they sold. A few days after their wedding, they both got the wish 'Have First Child' and so they tried a couple times and finally, she fell pregnant. She spent a lot of time writing in her maternity leave, although she reached her Professional Author goal a few days after she gave birth to a little girl, Sansa Nemona (yes, named after the Sansa from GoT). 

Sansa Nemona is now a toddler with her mother's natural hair colour (blonde - she dyed it purple and then red more recently) and her traits escape me, although I think it's Good and Artistic (her mother is Artistic, although again I can't remember her traits either right now). Danae also reached the top of the daycare career more recently, and Gerard is a department head now, I believe. Danae is also pregnant again at present, and hoping for a boy (I personally don't mind). And that's my Sim family to date.

Helen wrote out thank you notes to everyone who was invited to the wedding (even though most of Reuben's family didn't make it, they still sent gifts). I didn't make a note of who gave what, so I just placed everything and took a photo. 

I sold the inventing table (because we already have one), the Atlas sculpture, the water pump sculpture, the microwave (they already have one) and the bunny poster but kept the rest.
