An abstract painting, loosely inspired by something I saw at the Tate. It began as a quick sketch and was filled in later. It doesn’t look much like the original, but that’s not the point. It took on a life of its own. Gouache on paper

A quick sketch from a train window, capturing the moment someone ran to catch a train on the opposite platform. It’s stylized, but I added colour later. The energy of that fleeting moment has always stuck with me.

A quick life drawing, capturing the figure as she looks over her shoulder. I filled in the background and flesh tones later. I’ve written "frozen moment of action; the critical moment" on the piece, which might have been the theme during that life drawing session.

Two Feet in bed
A chalk drawing on paper or possibly even oil pastel in four colours arranged in a row, interrupted perhaps by teeth or feet, subject unknown. This piece was created using either chalk or oil pastel on paper, showcasing four bold colours arranged in a row, interspersed with shapes that might resemble teeth or feet. The subject remains open to interpretation.

A charcoal sketch featuring two heads—one turning towards the other—and a figure beneath them. This piece was likely drawn during a life drawing class, although the exact date remains unknown. I adore the raw, expressive quality that charcoal brings to these studies.

I use the shape of a flower pretty regularly. I find it a very satisfying shape. On this occasion, I coloured it with a variety of gouache paint.
This flower shape is one I return to often in my artwork—there’s something deeply satisfying about its form. For this piece, I used a mix of vibrant gouache paints to bring it to life.

This is a small oil painting sketch on cardboard. These sketches are typically painted at the beginning of each painting session, similar to warm-up exercises before a workout. https://www.simonburdge.co.uk/

This t-shirt makes a bold fashion statement and connects you to these ancient symbols and their timeless wisdom. Each crow carries a story, a piece of history, and a reminder of the mystical connections that bind us to the world and each other.
The fourth crow is the Oracle of Destiny. In various mythologies, crows are seen as omens or prophets. The Greeks believed crows could foresee the future, and in many stories, they are depicted as messengers of the gods. This crow on your t-shirt symbolizes the mysterious forces that shape our fate, urging us to listen to the signs and trust our intuition.

I went to the Municipal Art Gallery in Brighton and got inspired by a painting by William Scott called "Girl and the Birdcage" from February 1948. The painting had soft pastel colours and a calm feeling typical of that period. I liked my drawing and turned it into a digital Lino-cut print. It will be printed on Hahnemühle German Etching paper in a limited edition of 25 copies each for the 300mm x 300mm and 500mm x 500mm sizes.

After spending countless years in the life room, refining my skills in drawing and painting, my commitment to life drawing remains steadfast. I consistently attend life drawing classes, constantly striving to enhance my abilities. Occasionally, I even part with some of my finest drawings, such as the one depicting Linda. In this piece, Linda is portrayed in motion, with her hands resting on her hips, brought to life through delicate white chalk on blue paper.

This NFT is the third in a series of four; it is the original design as the first one but in a different colourway. I see them on a wall in a straight line or block 2 x 2.
These designs started in my sketchbook after I saw Roman mosaics at the British Museum. Later, they became What-If-drawings, and after many irritations, I ended up with this one. The drawings then took on a life of their own, looking like blocks, then Tetris, and, in some cases, figures.
All my designs are Printable. The maximum width is 381mm at 300 dpi (you could go up to 762mm width at 150 dpi).
Please note I will only trade through the Opensea portal.

The Girl with Blue Eyes. This picture started as a quick sketch in a cafe in London. (If anybody is interested, she had an Americo and a chocolate brownie.) It stayed propped up against the wall in the studio for a few months. I repeatedly redrawed the picture until I saw where the drawing was going. I made this drawing on paper as an oil pastel a week or two later.
