Henry didn’t leave Witcher or “get forced out of” Witcher because he wanted to do Superman and couldn’t do both. He left Witcher because the writers for Witcher have fucked with the source material which Henry is a huge fan of. He LEFT Witcher because he didn’t want to do it anymore. That’s why you’ve been seeing people campaigning to have the writers fired and have Henry come back.

The bullshit with The Witcher has fuck all to do with the bullshit with Superman.

I am probably evangelizing to the choir here, but I would like to talk about the psychology of being a Hulk, as presented in “She Hulk.”

I have seen men complaining about it. A lot. And while it is definitely a point the show is making, that women are better at dealing with their emotions, or at least Jen is compared to Bruce—and I like that. It is funny and unexpected,—but there is also truth to it. I also think it’s an oversimplification to say Jen is simply better at being a Hulk because she is a woman or whatever. That it’s simply “woke” bullshit.

The show presents two reason for Jen adapting to being a Hulk faster than Bruce did, 1) she has no second personality and 2) she deals with her anger and fear.

I don’t know the show’s reason for not giving her a second personality. I would venture to guess it is because she doesn’t really have one in the comics (fake nerd boys don’t know about She-Hulk?). But I think the show is also implying Bruce has some kind of disorder around his anger, which is NOT a stretch or a retelling of the Hulk story. I have actually seen some fascinating talk about Bruce’s dissociation when he gets angry and some parallels to “Moon Knight”, though it is incorrect to say Bruce has a “split personality.”

This stuff gets me excited. As someone who again (not to brag) had to do dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) in a hospital setting.

When *is* Bruce able to control the transformations into the Hulk? When he stops trying to NOT be angry and he admits he is always angry.

Jen, who says anger and fear are her “baseline” emotions as a woman, is ALREADY always angry.

And that is something I remember talking about in group at DBT. There was another patient (I do not know their diagnosis) who had a lot of trouble with anger and it ruining family interactions. For that person, they felt anger was “bad” because of their religious upbringing. And the DBT therapist had to work with them on accepting the fact that anger is a normal and healthy human emotion.

You may have heard of the pop psychology book “The Gift of Fear.” Anger is a gift too. Anger is what motivates us to fight. Anger is the superpower that all superheroes have. It is knowing when and how to use it that distinguishes the heroes from the villains.

“She Hulk” is a saying the years of trying to push anger away or avoid it were never going to work. But we knew that they didn’t work already. We saw Bruce’s journey and we don’t need to rehash or redo that arc. That’s not news.

What intrigued me is this: does Does this suggest Bruce had the Hulk with him in some form BEFORE the gamma radiation and maybe didn’t know it? And what does this say about Bruce and how he was raised? In a way, it is pointing to a real problem I have seen some men deal with around how they are socialized not to cry or be angry or have emotions at all.

Ultimately, I wish this were leading to more discussion about the role of anger (and fear) in our daily lives. I hope that little boys who see She Hulk will aspire to be more like Jen, at least when it comes to processing emotions, and not feel like they “should” be Bruce.

just came across something on my dashboard and I am kind of gobsmacked…. like I don’t wanna reply to op or tag them or anything. 

but basically, they made a post saying that people posting about Eddie loving chubby girls (which I am assuming means those “Eddie loves thick girls pass it on” type posts and Eddie x plus sized reader fics) is skinny shaming 

and I am just like. ugh. I am gonna vomit 

like - skinny shaming is explicitly saying that being skinny is ugly or bad. and in generally, I believe that it is not as bad as fatshaming on a systemic level, and people never acknowledge the fact that skinny shaming and fatshaming go hang in hand, and if you took queues from the fat people who started the body positivity movement about shutting the fuck up about what other people eat and look like, then there would be a lot less skinny shaming in general. 

anyway - if you look at a post that was clearly not made to be targeted towards you, aka a plus sized reader fic, or a post that says “X character loves fat girls” and you get a fucking victim complex about it, you need to check your internalised fatphobia please. fat girls have been shamed for years, fucking years, most of since we were old enough to stand up to be able to step on a scale - we have been shamed about our weight, we have been told we are not good enough, and having that little bit of posivity, having this little fandom space to learn to love ourselves is a fucking sacred thing. because the real world still fucking hates fat girls. 

so it is nice to pretend that a fake fictional character would love my body with a vicious, horny gaze, and not as a caveat, not as an exception.

I will keep writing plus sized reader fics, I will keep saying that Steve Harrington, Eddie Munson, and literally every other fictional character that you like not only likes fat girls, but will literally only exclusively fuck fat girls. they can’t hear you complaining because they are being smothered with my fucking thighs 

especially when we are drowned in this fandom environment with stomach bulge fics, size kink fics where the reader is picked up and thrown around like a ‘ragdoll’, where every other fanfic author is berating you with “aesthetic” fanfic moodboards that involve girls with their fucking ribs sticking out.

Hello loves. I know I have been extremely inactive and I recently crossed 3k followers, which got me realizing, hey! There's a lot of people who will probably read what I have to say, and while I wish I could churn out a fic for you right now, there's something else weighing on me.

The lack of viewership when it comes to Ms. Marvel. Time and again, the MCU comes up with something new and we latch on to it, there's gif sets, theories, what not, but I don't see a lot of that for Ms. Marvel, and as a South Asian who is FINALLY thrilled about the representation, that really upsets me.

This show goes beyond the Superhero stuff, you know? Marvel has tapped into one of the biggest (often, unnoticed by white people) events in the history of the world, the partition of India and Pakistan under the British rule.

Not just that, the cast has a lot of different people from all over South Asia and immigrants in America, that's a big fucking deal. In addition to that, there's beautiful music all around. You get to witness the beauty of Pakistan Coke Studio in almost every single episode, and...you also two brilliant actors from Bollywood featuring in it, what more could one ask for?

While I know this show wasn't made for white people, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't watch it? It isn't just a great show, but it also teaches you things your history teachers never did (I'm looking at the English who never once learnt in school about what the British did to our countries)

This show is a cultural phenomena, and who knows when we'll witness another like this in the MCU. So while it's here, please, please do go ahead and watch it, I promise you won't regret it.

this is a comment under a tiktok edit in which the editor said 'Rey Skywalker solos Wanda Maximoff' now that is debatable and I won't say anything to that however I will rise my voice about some comments, this one in particular.

This person is talking about Elizabeth Olsen and I could kill them. If some of you don't know what they could possibly mean

she used the word 'gypsy' a very long time ago (if that's true idk and tbh before I googled it I didn't even know what it was and when Chadwick Boseman died unlike everyone else she didn't honor him on social media instead she went to the press.

People were saying she dishonoured him when she didn't do anything different than Jennifer Lawrence, Emma Stone and many more. — there is probably something else I didn't know

she is not racist or lesbio/homophobic people just want to be viral and they want to hurt people and want them to be hated only because they hate them

most actors get cancelled over rumours that started out of literally NOWHERE, its too common these days

it's one thing to not like a character but it's a different thing to hate someone for things were people overreacted or which are only rumours

as always my opinion but I won't tolerate hate towards Lizzi, because that woman — believe it or not — helped me through a lot of shit in the past years.

when walking out of the theatre for Love and Thunder two men behind me were complaining about how the mcu “doesn’t feel the same” because of the amount of women now as leads! The mcu is changing, it’s starting new and now about new characters and the future of Marvel, like yes i’ll miss “the old mcu” but i’m excited about everything new and all the new people it’s going to bring in!

it's about finding the heros/villains and ending someone's story like hawkeye or ms marvel, setting up the future of the mcu and it's more comic based

and now that thor love and thunder dropped I think it's even the last of phase 4 and with she hulk/black panther it will enter phase 5
