Hey everyone it seems there a malicious individual trying to hack the sims cc community again and fill it with malware you need to stay vigilant as a creator and a downloader so

i have some tips for both to stay safe while downloading:

1- sims cc file extension is always .Package never download anything that is .exe

2- do not auto unpack zip files and rar files into your mods folder directly, open each zip or rar individually check the file extensions and drag them to your mods folder one by one

3- the only mods that have a .ts4script extension are ones that affect gameplay or how the game works, understand that if you are downloading cas or bb items you shouldn't have a .ts4script file

4- if you are downloading gameplay mods that do have .ts4script make sure that A) the creator hasn't announced on their pages that its infected B) you are downloading from a link provided by the creator of the mods themselves not something off of google or a link you got sent and make sure dates of upload match dated of announcements

5- if the mod or cc creator has retired and hasn't posted for a while LOOK AT THE DATES OF THE UPLOAD if it has been "updated recently" after the creator has left the community its most likely re-uploaded by a hacker and infected

6- download mod gaurd by Twisted mexi and keep it updated and keep your windows defender or malware detector Program up to date and always running do not disable it

7- make sure everything you download comes from a direct link from the cc creator, in this day and age do not trust link shortners, adfly, linkverse, etc get the universal bypass extension and ublock extension to stay safe but genuinely NEVER CLICK ON THOSE no matter how much the creator reassures you its safe it. is. NOT.

8- this is more of a general saftey precaution but, create a system restore point weekly before you run the game with new mods that way if anything happens you could have a chance to restore your windows to an earlier date before you downloaded anything.

9- BACK UP YOUR SHIT im serious right now either weekly or monthly put your files somewhere safe like a usb a storage card a hard drive even an online cloud if you dont have any of the previous.

10- files you should back up are your media from games and media everything else, any mods, games saves, work files, passwords, saved bookmarks, any documents txt files word files pdfs, links you saved, brushes or actions for Photoshop if you have any, any digital bills or certificates if you have any, and keep a physical list of all programs you have installed and where you installed them from

11- turn on any 2 factor authentication and security measures for any account you have

12- google and firefox have the option to check your paswords and emails against any data leaks USE THIS FEATURE and change any leaked passwords

13- regularly check your logged in sessions to make sure all the logged in devices or computers are yours and log out any that aren't and any old devices or unused sessions do this for every website and app you have an account on if available

14- change your passwords often. I know this is a hassle i know its hard to come up with new passwords but changing your passwords every few months will help you against anything mention previously that wasn't detected.

15- and as a cc creator check your cc and the accounts you host cc on and its uplaod and update dates make sure nothing has been changed without your permission :(

16- generally try not to get swept up in the "i must get it" fever you do not need to "shop" for mods weekly or monthly you do not need to download everything by that one creator you do not need to download new cc everytime you want to make a sim, im guilty of this so i know how hard it is to resist but take a breath and think "do i want this or do i need it" before downloading.

These are prevention methods i cant claim they are 100% will prevent any hacking but its better to be safe than sorry and these do keep you safe so

Eco Water Tower Dew Collector

Don't ask me why, but for some reason I really hate the Eco Lifestyle dew collectors. I know, they're useful, but I always end up having to hide them behind half-walls.

On the other hand I really love the Lovestuck debug water towers, but they're not functional.

After confessing a favorite childhood meal involving peanut butter sandwiches and ranch dressing, horror--and inspiration--struck. I present to you: a salad dressing-themed legacy challenge for The Sims 4.

Guidelines

You only need to complete 7 generations, because I think 7 salad meals in a row is about the maximum I could handle.

Generations can be played in any order.

The goals for each generation are straightforward. Your heir must:

The Silver Squad are lifelong friends and are proof that getting old doesn't mean slowing down! Pearl, Gardenia, Terra, and Gemma have their eyes set on opening up their dream shop selling their specific specialties now that their retired. Waldorf continues to be a powerhouse in the legal field, and Hugh just wants to find #love. Meanwhile, Samson is just along for the ride! All sims come with an outfit per category, sexualities, jobs (or hopefully a retirement salary), skills, etc.

I have really been into making elderly sims lately, so I'm excited to share these cuties! The initial premise was for Pearl, Gemma, Gardenia, and Terra to open up a small business using their skills (Knitting/cross-stitch, Gemology, Flower Arranging, and Pottery respectively). But then I added the three lovely fellows as well, and their story came together.

I made graphics for @anneliesembsims's new Theme LEPacy Challenge!

There's plenty of room for future pack content, so I'll plan to update the graphics as the challenge is updated.

The Sims 4 Theme LEPacy challenge

The idea behind the LEPacy challenge (originally created for Sims 3 by @simpishly was that each generation focused on a different expansion pack of the game. 

When I adapted it for The Sims 4 in 2019, I did not know that this game would continue on for so long, with no end in sight. It makes for an incredibly long challenge. I’ve decided that I will no longer update that, but create a new legacy challenge with a similar idea. 

With the Theme LEPacy, I have divided various Expansion, Game, and even some Stuff packs into 12 different gameplay themes. Some of these packs will show up in multiple generations because they have multiple themes in them. Each generation has options for various packs, so you do not need to have all of the packs to play them, but instead just the ones you want. 

You can also adapt it to your gameplay preferences, such as skipping the Occult generation entirely if that’s not gameplay you enjoy. 

I will update this challenge as needed, because future packs will no doubt fit into at least one of the themes. 

Not all Stuff Packs are represented, and I also didn’t fit Spa Day in. 

In the original LEPacy rules, and my Sims 4 LEPacy rules, it was suggested to wait to ‘unlock’ packs until you reached that generation. That is not necessary for this challenge. Have all the packs you want active. 

Notes: If there’s no mention of a particular career/way to make money, then do what you want. Same for number of children

Optional Rules over multiple generations: 

The “Family Home”

The lot you move to with your first generation becomes the “family home”. The traditional legacy rules has the family stay on one lot the whole time. Every generation has the choice to move to a new neighborhood, and all but two have the option of living in the “family home”. 

Heirlooms

The Family theme generation has a rule about having an heirloom if you have Life and Death. If you want to, and you have Life and Death, have an heirloom that carries with the main family line from the first generation through to the end. 

Family Cemetery

Create a family cemetery that all family members remains go to. You can do this with Base Game with a Generic lot type, or make one using Life and Death

Generation 1 - Career Theme

Packs: Get to Work, Get Famous, Dream Home Decorator

Starting in a new town, you know you need a good foundation for you and your future family to succeed, so you decide to focus heavily on your career, and to earn money to begin your legacy. 

Live in Willow Creek, Oasis Springs, Newcrest, or Del Sol Valley, or choose a lot in any neighborhood to be the family home

Have one of the following Active careers: Doctor, Scientist, Detective (Get to Work), Actor (Get Famous), or Interior Decorator (Dream Home Decorator)

Have a romance with one of your coworkers (Doctor, Scientist, Detective) or clients (Interior Decorator)

Have either the Mansion Baron or Fabulously Wealthy aspirations

Generation 2 - Love and Friendship Theme

Packs: Lovestruck, My Wedding Stories, Get Together

Your parent was always focused on their career, in an attempt to ensure the family had the best. It made for a very lonely childhood, so now you seek companionship in love and friendship

Stay in your family home or move to Ciudad Enamorada, Tartosa or Windenburg

(If you play with Get Together) Join or create a club based on your interests

Have a Popularity or Love aspiration (or Villainous Valentine)

Have at least 3 silver dates

Have at least 5 best friends

Date 3 separate people, either at the same time or different times. 

Have a successful wedding with either a Base Game or MWS wedding. 

Generation 3 - Farming and Animals Theme

Packs: Seasons, Cottage Living, Horse Ranch, Cats and Dogs

Your parent found love and affection in the people around them. You found love and affection in animals, and taking care of your plants.

Stay in your family home or move to Henford-on-Bagley, Brindleton Bay, or Chestnut Ridge

Have one of the following aspirations: Freelance Botanist, Friend of the Animals (Cats and Dogs), Championship Rider, Expert Nectar Maker (Horse Ranch) or Country Caretaker (Cottage Living

Move to a Haunted House, Moonwood Mill, Glimmerbrook, Ravenwood, Strangerville, or Forgotten Hollow

Become an Occult (Vampire, Werewolf, Spellcaster, Mermaid, Ghost)

Romance an occult type that is NOT your own (alien included)

(With Paranormal) Go through a whole week living in a Haunted House Residential

Join the Reaper career (Life and Death), or the Paranormal Investigator freelance career (Paranormal stuff) (If you have neither pack, then there are no career limitations)

Reach the top level of the occult you are (unless you’re a mermaid, which doesn’t have a skill tree and levels)

(Strangerville) If you choose to move to Strangerville, complete the Strangerville mystery

Generation 6 - Family Theme

Packs: Parenthood, Growing Together, Life and Death, High School Years

Your parent was always involved in the supernatural, but you just want a normal life, with a normal, loving family. 

Move back to the family home, or move to San Sequoia or Copperdale

(Optional) Remove any occult status

Have a family aspiration

(With Life and Death) Ensure you have an heirloom to hand down the family line (this could be from the very first generation, or a new one) and create a will

Have 4 children, at least one being adopted

(With Growing Together) Each infant has two milestones in each category (social, first, gross motor, fine motor)

(With Parenthood) All children get at least one one Character Value trait

(With Life and Death) Hold a funeral for each close family member who passes away

(With Growing Together) Throw a family reunion

The next gen heir must have an A at school. Preferably all children do. 

(HSY) The next gen heir must have joined an after school activity and reached the top level of it. Preferably all children have joined an after school activity.

(HSY) Go on an active school day at least once

(HSY) All children go to prom at least once

Generation 7 - Education and Knowledge Theme

Packs: High School Years, Discover University

You have a thirst for knowledge and know the importance of a good education. You put all of your effort into being the best student, to ensure you have the best future

(As part of previous generation) Must have received an A at high school

Never go on vacation, and try to never visit another town (except to visit family) - why go anywhere else when the place you live is so wonderful?

(With City Living, and you live in San Myshuno) Go to all city festivals at least once.

(With Snowy Escape, and you live in Mt Komorebi) Go to all Mt Komorebi festivals at least once.

Join the Conservationist career (Island Living) or Civil Designer career (Evergreen Harbour)

(Eco Lifestyle) Get your neighborhood into a green eco footprint (If it isn’t currently bugged)

Do you feel sad when your lactose intolerant* Sims can't eat their own birthday/breakup/just-felt-like-it cake? Cakes are a unique recipe in the Sims because they're used for more than just a meal. So why is there not an allergy-friendly recipe so all Sims can partake?

With these files, now your lactose intolerant Sims can have some cake and eat it, too!

Spa Day required: Sugar-Free Coconut Carob Cake

Island Living required: Coconut Cake
