I wanted to learn about the different mediums that were able to be used, how to stretch canvas, and about the different techniques I could use in my process.
Who did you have in Painting 1 and what was your experience of working with paint for the 1st time?
I had Amy in painting 1. I enjoyed my experience with her.
Have you been working on or developing any themes in your work? This could be from other classes or diciplines.
I have not, not just yet! The main theme I think I wish to develop in my future work however, is femininity.

2. What is your major or intended major?
My major is painting/drawing/ printmaking
3. What are 3 things (but now limited to) that you would like to learn about figure drawing or that made you interested in this class?
Three things I would like to learn in this class is how to get proportions right, how to capture movement, and how to be relatively quick with my drawing process. These are all things I have struggled with in the past.
4. Whom did you have for your Drawing1, Drawing 2, and Figure Drawing (if you had it yet) courses explain what was your experience in these classes? What did you learn and what would you still desire to learn about?
I do not remember, I had taken both of these courses online. (I tried looking yesterday night since I had forgotten, but I had Wi-Fi issues in my dorm). I learned a lot about shading and color, as well as different blending tricks!
5. What conceptual themes would you like to explore in this class?
I would like to explore mostly drawing human anatomy. I understand that’s not necessarily a theme, but I mostly do portraits, and getting used to drawing the entire body is something I find important.
6. If you plan on working with any alternative tool, what would such tools include?
I would love to learn more about charcoal! I had always avoided it since it had a tendency to get messy, but the ability to build up darkness appears to be something very achievable with charcoal.
