I don’t know about you, but September FLEW by for me. The month was jam-packed with fashion week, styling projects and lots and lots of clothing. I kicked of the month with prepping for New York Fashion Week with Alice + Olivia, and then spent the next couple of weeks working their show, running around to events and soaking in the NYFW madness. You can read my fashion week recap HERE. The day after the Alice + Olivia show, I styled a holiday shoot for Shoe-Inn, an upscale shoe boutique based in NYC.  After fashion week came to an end, I hosted a little house-warming party with my roommates at our new apartment, and dove back into work.

Oh hey there! Have you missed me? I knew fashion week is always a little crazy, but this New York Fashion Week kind of kicked my butt. Today is the first day I’ve had off to solely focus on SAK and my to-do list in almost a month; and it’s safe to say that I’m drowning in emails, blog posts and errands. I took a brief hiatus from the blog last week to focus on my other jobs, but I’m back, and ready to share all the juicy BTS details of New York Fashion Week with you!

In case you haven’t been following my Instagram, or don’t really know what I do – let’s do a recap. I am a freelance stylist, and I was very fortunate to be contracted with Alice + Olivia to help their styling team for a second season in a row. I absolutely love working with their team and have been working with A+O for almost a year now. In addition to styling, I just started as a Fashion Editor Consultant for StyleCaster.com; you can read my current stories HERE! So between all of that, styling for a couple other clients, and running SAK full time, I’m one busy lady! I luckily had Lauren, my summer intern, come back to NYC for fashion week to help me out with attending shows, events and everything in-between for SAK. Lauren and my NYC-based intern, Marleigh, attended shows and events for me every day, and that’s who was posting on my Insta story (I swear I wasn’t in two places at once haha).

To kick off fashion week, my blogger bestie, Madisen of Madisen on Madison and myself hosted a little pre-NYFW pamper party at Fabio Doti Salon in FiDi for a handful of our friends. We had complimentary blow-outs, spray tans by Tan in Ten and endless champagne. Once New York Fashion Week officially begun, things kicked into high gear. I was at A+O every day, attending events at night (some included Lulu’s, Free People and Vogue) and then writing articles before bed. It was a busy month, but I’m ready to catch up on life this week and get back into the swing of things. Take a look at my NYFW below and stay tuned this week for more posts! xo

Bring on the layers, the chunky knits and oversized silhouettes, because your girl is ready for crisp air, the changing of leaves in Central Park and layers. Did I mention layers?
