So I’m sure I’m not the only one wondering if the new For Rent pack can be used to make (some what functional) boarding stables for horses.

Just finished up this guy. Had to stop because the detailing started to get crunchy, and he started to form these seams. Anyone know what causes that and if there is a way to stop it? Anyways I need a name for him now. And I’m wondering if people would be interested in horses made by me.

I realized I never posted the remaining photos of the townie horse make overs I did. EA is on the left mine are on the right. I chose to completely change Flapjacks look. For the most part I wanted to keep all the townie horses with the same feel as they were originally created. However Flapjack was listed as a Nez Perce Horse and I wanted to better represent their history with the blanket and spotting of an Appaloosa. I chose to use a premade skin and tweak it as I was making quick edits. I may later go in and try to refine the skin to look less generic, but I think EA did well with some of their presets.

*These makeovers are all cc free. Again my tip to getting a more detailed looking horse without CC is to crank the muscular slider up and the round/ fullness slider down.

I was disappointed that this and hitching posts were not included in the Sims 4.

Pleaseee make a mod where you can lead horses around. it's so tedious trying to get them to a specific spot sometimes. Plus it would be more realistic and fun! maybe it can be based off of leashing dogs, but idk how modding works lol

I'm so sorry, that's far beyond my capabilities, I just make mesh and textures, not program -- I would also love this too if any talented scripters are reading :") <3

I was investigating how the EAxis water troughs and feeders worked and found I could change the position that the horse accesses them from by rotating the like slot point thingies. Anyway someone saw my test and requested an upload to use in between pasture fences. I made sure to test that it would indeed work if horses were blocked off from the other side and they do indeed work exactly as you'd hope. It also blocks their pathing like a fence would. So I moved the water spigot to the side of it, and walla.

To use it you'll need to chop a 2 block hole out of your fence and place it in the gap.

This is a quick and dirty replacement of the adult/elder horse head to move the eye meshes very slightly to make them look more correct. All animations/EA sliders/morphs work, but because of the replacement, there are sometimes noticeable, small white lines around the eyes. When this inevitably becomes a slider itself, this will no longer be a problem, and it's a byproduct of this being a GEOM replacement.

It'll be up to you to decide what bothers you more, the front-facing eyes or the occasionally-visible seam when up close!

Additionally, because the eyes are rotated slightly, animations where the horses move their eyes side to side might be a bit more extreme. I can't really do anything about that!

Will conflict with anything else that default-replaces the ahHead mesh. I don't think anything else does but that's y'all's disclaimer. This is compatible with all eye default replacements because it doesn't change any UVs etc.

Terms of Use

This isn't under my usual TOU because all I did was literally rotate the eye meshes like, 15 degrees.

Credits: EAxis for everything, again I did like nothing to this mesh.

I know that this would be desperately wanted by the community... So I spent hours processing 980 textures and importing them one by one into sims4studio. Every default feather texture is represented with 14 variations to cover all possible sock positions. It was.... hellish, but hopefully very worth it, since I know many of my own horse OCs will get use out of this. There was unfortunately no better way to do it than just make an absurd amount of swatches, I did try to find a solution that wasn't this but... this is all we got, for now anyway.

Because each leg feather type (large and small) needed a total of 490 swatches each, they had to be split into two, so there's four packages total.

Asymmetrical Feathers

USING THE MORE CAS COLUMNS MOD IS BASICALLY REQUIRED TO USE THIS MOD, or else the comically large amount of swatches will cover up your selection screen. More CAS columns adds a scrollbar to the swatch section, preventing this.

Life saver! I hated using the tail wrap because of the colors. If you aren’t going to let us change the color the least you can do is make it white or black.

Im baffled why EAxis continuously makes its hair accessories non-neutral colors... like over half of the tail wrap colors were red. whats up with that.

So i colored all the hair ties to be white + retextured the tail wrap to look like white polo wraps
