So! For some reason, I couldn't get Twallan's No-CD to work, but if I load the game from TS3.exe, it works just fine, as long as I don't accidentally minimize the game.

Now I just need to get back to slowly redownloading all the store and SP stuff I had downloaded...

I have played a blissful one and a half hours worth of Seasons.

That was about a week ago. Ever since, I haven't been able to play my game because IT KEEPS CRASHING. Something about my disc drive. My grandfather the tech wizard is coming over tomorrow, so hopefully he'll be able to take a look at it... But.

I never meant to be away for so long. My hiatus was forcefully started because of computer issues... Was it all the way in the spring? I guess it was. Then summer came, and I had a busy- but wonderful- summer. Then fall came, and school started up. Though my computer was fixed, I never had time to play the Sims, especially since I started a job.

I have three weeks of school left, and I'm quitting my job come Monday.

You know what that means, right?

I played the Sims for about three seconds on Wednesday and tomorrow (which is technically Saturday but it's almost midnight and I'm actually referring to Sunday, shut up) I leave for three weeks without a computer.

Can you name me some Sims 3 Worlds that are available for download?

I'm a big fan of Awesim's worlds, which are always well thought-out and beautiful. I'm really excited for Reyes County (which isn't out yet, so this won't help you... But it's fantastic, go look!), and I absolutely love Red County. They're all bigger worlds, which might slow down your game and might not be exactly what you're looking for, but I love big worlds so I tend to pick them! I hope this helps!

I don't why people keep following me since all my posts are text posts about how sometime soon I will EVENTUALLY be able to post Sims things again, but I'm glad you are! I'm almost back to the number of followers I had when my forced hiatus started.

Here is the status of my computer at the moment: the new hard drive is installed. Have yet to transfer my files and settings from my old hard drive- I have to update the OS first. Which means I need to ORDER the OS. I also need to order the new memory, but that doesn't have to happen before I get my computer back. Then we need to install the Bootcamp partition and, finally, test the hell out of my computer.

I'd say it should be a week, tops, before my computer is returned. But then again, whenever I say things like that, I jinx myself. So nevermind.

Bad news: My computer isn't back yet.

Good news: When it comes back, I'll have 250GB worth of a Mac and 250GB of a PC and 4GBs of memory. Formerly, it had 320GB of a hard drive, all Mac- I had tried to install Bootcamp but failed- and only two gigs of memory. I had only used about 170GBs of my original hard drive, so my grandfather suggested I add a Windows partition now that I have a bigger hard drive, and I was happy to accept!

So! I'm not back yet, but SOON. Soon, my pretties!

my grandfather was basically born an engineer. he worked for the military until i was like, ten, and they had a big party when he retired. he worked with the dude who invented ping. you've heard of early adopters? yeah, my grandfather was the original. what is even more badass is that he is legally blind and still knows all this stuff, can disassemble and reassemble just about anything, and keeps up to date with EVERYTHING. my grandparents are sharp, yo!

Spent the day doing work and cleaning up my room in preparation for bringing my computer home... Went to my grandparents, my grandfather showed me my computer all disassembled, told me what he needed to do (which sounded fairly simple and like it wouldn't take very long) and then asked if my computer would be able to come back tomorrow. He just laughed and said "No, oh, no..."
