210 Wright Way might be the Pleasantview EA build I hate the most. Time for a makeover! I'm making it into 3 apartments and already recorded 2 hours of gameplay.

I'm not even close to finished yet. This house is huge!

I haven't had time to play in what feels like forever! I've gotten a new job irl, busy work days and tired after getting home. I also just bought my first coffee machine. I feel very adult 😂

Booting up my game and playing for the first time in over 2 months is exciting!

My ranking of the premade sims in Pleasantview.

I adore Cassandra and Angela. They deserve the world!

The Broke and Goth families are my favourites.

It seems like many of you agree about the Goths. My last poll results showed Goth in 1st place.

On the other side of the scale, in my opinion, is Lothario and Dreamer. I don't hate playing with them but they just didn't pass the vibe check.

I might have saved Lothario from my hate by marrying Dina. I think the Caliente sisters are better apart. Dreamer was a bit boring overall and there was no way to save the Pleasants. The fact that members of that family is in both most loved and hated says it all.

Mary-Sue deserved what happened to her. She is awful to Lilith. And her throwing Daniel out was well deserved. I just can't see myself like the two of them.

The poll had a tie for 2nd place with Caliente and Pleasant families, which I understand. They are fun to play and brings the drama to Pleasantview!

Pleasantview part 6: The Pleasant family

Probably the most chaotic video yet. A lot happened and I was not prepared for the Pleasants!

Their family dynamic is interesting and certainly different than the Dreamers or others I've played so far.

I decided to split up the lovely couple. Why live together if you all hate each other anyways? I cheered when the skunk sprayed Mary-Sue.

This is the last family in Pleasantview for now. I think it could be interesting to come back after Strangetown and Veronaville. I would like to play at least one generation of each neighborhood, but that is far in the future.

I'm currently playing Stardew Valley on my ipad and want to reach perfection, so it might be some time before I continue my playthrough of the premades.

I've fallen into a Stardew Valley rabbit hole and it's impossible to crawl out bc the 160+ wiki tabs are blocking the entrance...

The first thing I see when entering the household is the sisters slapping each other, poking their mother and arguing.

The chaos is not what I expected. I honestly thought the Pleasants were an idyllic family, but they all seem to hate each other!

I think Daniel, Mary-Sue and Lilith dancing is one of the best autonomous moments I've seen. Angela refused to join.

I saw so many new animations this round. I feel like I have to catch them all! Angela sliding down the banister and Mary-Sue drinking milk from the fridge is some of those I haven't seen before.

Mary-Sue and Daniel is honestly the worst couple in this game so far. I directed her to throw water in his face and it felt good. Scumbag!

I was not prepared for the Pleasasnt family chaos! Their relationship with each other is fascinating and there's never a dull moment.

The Misfortune of Mary-Sue Pleasant

(Or a day in the life of a fortune sim)

Mary-Sue is fired and has a mental breakdown on the front lawn when she arrives home.

Mary-Sue is tired of her family fighting all the time. None of them really like each other.

Mary-Sue catches her husband cheating with the maid. She is furious.

Mary-Sue just wanted to meet a cute animal, instead she is attacked by a stinky skunk! Her scream can be heard across town.

Mary-Sue is close to another breakdown. She desperately begs for money. She needs those simoleons!

Mary-Sue argues and fights with her husband. They break up and she kicks him out of the house.

Mary-Sue is unhappy. The girls are unhappy. Daniel is unhappy. The Pleasant family might be the closest reflection of real life yet.

Pleasantview part 5: The Dreamer Family

The Dreamers have their charms. Darren immerse himself in his painting. Dirk brings a friend home from school whom I have no control over.

The amount of interaction, activities and things to do in this game is so fun! I haven't even been outside the different residential lots yet.

This one was a bit more chill and calm compared to others. Perhaps not the most exciting, but that is the appeal of this game. Not one experience have been the same, at least up until now.

Next up is the Pleasants. Get ready for shit to hit the fan!

Darren's living his dream. I also got to try out new painting options on the easel.

Dirk comes home from school with a friend. Ricky hangs out and they have fun together playing videogames.

Darren helps Dirk with homework. One of the features I like most about this game is memories. It just gives each sim such deeper personality and background!

Pleasantview part 4: The Broke Family

I think this was the most challenging one for me yet. A toddler and a pregnant sim is not easy to keep happy while also filling up needs.

Despite the mundane situation of a normal day it was actually the most fun I've had playing with the premades. This is also why the video is so much longer than the others. I honestly forgot I was recording!

Can I just say this game is so cosy, cute and detailed. The amount of gameplay variation so far is amazing. I also really like the many animations for all interactions (no matter if it is other sims or objects) - which is the reason I don't like or play newer sims games.

I've also finished playing all the premades in Pleasantview and soon move onwards to Strangetown. I just have to edit and upload my screenshots and videos first of the Dreamer and Pleasant families...

Updated Resource List: UI Edition (Updated 11/10/24)

This is all the mods in my downloads folder that changes the game UI and makes it look better on modern display, removes annoyances etc. My old resource list only listed 3 which have since been replaced.

I play on a 2k monitor with the game set to 1080p with the default UI because I like the nostalgic look.

If you use cleanUI by @greatcheesecakepersona, then many of the widescreen fixes are already included! Many of these also have an alternative version made for cleanUI.

Loading screen replacement:

UC loading screen by @eddysims replace the Fun With Pets logo and removes idle M&G sims on select menu (I use an older version to match the Super Collection for mac, but have combined with this to remove the idle sims).

UC startup strings by @simsllama replace the M&G text strings while loading to fit Ultimate Collection.

M&G to UC program name replacement (MTS) changes the program name to say Ultimate Collection on taskbar, when closing the game and in credits. I use the old original Sims 2 icon in start menu.

Removed or disabled buttons:

No delete button in Sim Bin by Chris Hatch avoid accidentially deleting a family in the neighborhood.

No delete button in Buy/Build mode by Chris Hatch. I prefer to delete cc in the downloads folder instead.

Edited No useless town buttons by ePSYlord. Removes the AL, FT and Pets buttons from upper select menu in hood view. It also disables Custom Content Browser button to the old sims2 webpage, the camera and video buttons which I never use but always accidentially click.

Removed Auto Login button by ePSYlord. Removes the redundant option in settings.

No delete button in CAS, edited More Columns in CAS by ePSYlord. This is an edit of Chris Hatch's ui mod (cas300Extra) that adds the columns while also removing delete button from all categories. I had difficulty getting it to work for me, but managed after changing load order and removing specific cc hairs.

Remove hood popup dialog box reoploaded on MATY. No more nagging to add subhoods when entering a neighborhood.

Visual annoyances begone:

No CC icon in CAS (MTS) hides the star on custom content.

No pause frame by @simnopke removes the red frame from live, buy and build mode.

Add store icon to CAS by @jawusa. Restore the TS2 Store Edition icon on store content which can all be found here.

Widescreen fixes:

Wider change appearance by Chris Hatch.

Wider buy/plan outfits by Chris Hatch.

Wider family tree by SixAM!

Wider design tool by @lamare-sims.

Wider collections by Chris Hatch.

Menu fixes or addons:

Subhood selection by Mootilda changes menu from big button to list of selections instead. Useful if playing with multiple subhoods.

Select your cemetery (MTS) adds dialog box to move tombstones if all sims on a lot die.

Baby Last Name Chooser by @midgethetree adds dialog box to choose a baby's last name when born.

Marriage Last Name Chooser (MTS) adds dialog box to choose last name after sims gets married.

Misc. UI changes:

Clearer need bars by simnopke. It just looks nicer.

Season icons in color (MTS). Replace the blue with colorful icons.

LTW icons fixed by Lamare. Resizes the Life Time Wants icons to be consistent.

I think that was everything concerning the user interface in my game. A lot more than anticipated and most added in the last year or so. My game looks so nice now!
