Chapter 5 - Parent Meeting

{Morgan's POV}

I spent the entire day getting ready to meet Crew's parents. My friends took me out to get my hair done and nails done. It was nice to be prepped and pretty.

The ride to Brindleton Bay was killer. 4 hours. I booked an air bnb because I knew that I would not be driving back to San Myshuno tonight. When I got to the restaurant, I was surprised. It was a Michelin 5 star restaurant. There were several celebrities outside and I felt so out of place. I spotted Crew standing outside. He smiled and gave me a long hug. I missed him.

Crew: Hello, dear. My parents are inside waiting on us. Morgan: This place is nice. You didn't have to do all this. Crew: It was my dad's suggestion. Shall we?

I walked inside with him and we met his parents at a nice table in a secluded section.

Curtis: Well, you must be Morgan. Hello! It's nice to finally meet you. I'm Curtis Hamilton and this is my wife Christie.

I blushed and smiled again. Crew sat next to his and I nervously sat next to his mom. She was stunning herself and his dad was extremely nice. I had already met Crew's sister, Chloe, but I was hoping she would come to make me a little less nervous.

Morgan: Mr. and Mrs. Hamilton, it's so nice to finally meet you. I've heard great things. Christie: As have we. We've heard so many things about you. Morgan: Good things, I hope. Christie: GREAT things. Crew: Only great things to say about all of you. Morgan: *smiles shyly* Curtis: So Morgan, are you a seafood girl? Morgan: I'm from Willow Creek. I love seafood, spice, and a good drink.

His dad smiled at me and his mom turned to me. We began talking and his parents were truly nice. They were very interesting to say the least. I felt so comfortable and they were so genuine throughout the evening.

Mr. Hamilton's phone rang and he excused himself from the table. Crew smiled at me.

Christie: Curtis' work never stops. He's always getting phone calls. Morgan: As a stockbroker, I bet he is. Christie: Work never stops. That's what happens when you own a multi-million dollar corporation. Morgan: Multi-million?

I turned to look at Crew who's eyes had grown large. His mom looked embarrassed and Mr. Hamilton sat back down just as confused at me.

Curtis: What? Christie: I put my foot in my mouth. Morgan: No, you didn't. I just wasn't aware that your company was so... large. Curtis: Right. We're very humble. We just don't like to flaunt what we have which is why our son probably didn't tell you. Crew: I didn't want it to seem like I was bragging... or cocky. Morgan: *smiles* I definitely understand. I don't really like to tell people where I'm from either. They either think I'm poor or I'm hood.

I turned to Crew who looked clearly uncomfortable.

Curtis: I definitely understand. I grew up in the doonies. Southside of Evergreen Harbor. I had to work to get to where I am today. Morgan: I respect that. Crew: Sorry for not saying something earlier.

I reached across the table and touched his hand.

Morgan: There's no reason to be ashamed of where you're from. Be proud of it. There's no reason to apologize. I get it.

Crew smiled at me and I continued talking to his parents about their business and family. As our night ended and they got ready to leave, Crew pulled me aside to speak.

Crew: I'm sorry that I didn't tell you who my family was. I just didn't want to make things weird. Morgan: No I get it. I'm assuming that's why you didn't really have a girlfriend before me either. You have trouble with trusting people. Crew: Yeah. I just didn't want to ruin what we have right now. Morgan: You didn't ruin anything. I understand.

Morgan: I should get going it's getting late. Crew: You're going back to San Myshuno tonight? Morgan: No I got an air bnb here and I'm leaving out in the morning. Crew: OH. Morgan: It's fine. I'll call you before I leave. Crew: Okay. Be safe. Morgan: I love you.

I reached in and gave him a long hug. I turned and left before he could say anything back. I don't even know where the words came from but they felt perfect with me saying it.

TWIN TUITION EPISODE FIVE PART TWO

Jordan left this morning. This sucks. Is it too much to ask to spend my anniversary with my fiancé??? 

Pfft. I guess I’m looking forward to lunch (if somehow they don’t ruin that as well) … I’ll just head downstairs and ask if Taylor can make breakfast for us. 

When I head downstairs, Jordan left a surprise for me. 

Cai: Awww, he’s so sweet.  Cade: These flowers are like $500 a box, where the hell did he get that money? Cai: He has a savings.  Cade: Oh good, that means you don’t have access to it.  Cai: Hey! 

Taylor: *Laughs* Taylor: I made your favorite, he asked me to.  Cade: Babe, you need to start charging these freeloaders.

Cai: Excuse me, what are you?  Cade: Her fiancé. Why would I pay her to feed me? She enjoys it.

Taylor: I really do. 

Cai: Pfft.  Cade: *Laughs*  Cade: What time is your lunch with Jordan? Cai: He said 2, but again that’s if they don’t ruin it…. Cade: Oh my god… Have some optimism twin.  Taylor: *Laughs*

*Cade’s phone buzzes* 

Cade: Unknown caller.  Taylor: Babe, what do you want to eat for breakfast? Cade: mmm, can you make – 

*Cade’s phone rings again*

Cade: Another unknown caller?  Cai: Probably a telemarketing scam.  Cade: Anyways, ooh babe. You should make that fancy panc-

*Cade’s phone rings again*

Cade: Who the fuck is this? Taylor: Wait, it’s an unknown caller?  Taylor: Its Ava. I bet you its Ava. 

Cai: Why is she calling you from a blocked ID? Taylor: Because she isn’t answering her calls or text on her actual number.  Cade: I don’t see how she hasn’t gotten the hint yet… Taylor:  Because she’s a psychopath.  Cade: Babe, I don’t think she’s that bad.  Taylor: You could’ve fooled me. Cade: Maybe I should just talk to her…. Taylor: Or you can just ignore her….  Cai: She’ll just keep calling.  Taylor: Then press charges for harassment.  Cai: Wifey means business, you better figure it out sis.  Cade: Ugh. I don’t have time for this today. I need to focus on my exam.  Taylor: Let me make you some brain food and then I’ll help you.  Cade: Thank you baby.  Cai: Ugh, I just remembered I’m alone today. You suck.  Taylor: You want me to call you pet names for today? Cade: *Laughs* Cai: It’s fine *rolls her eyes*

I really don’t have much to say to her, so what is the point in talking? I wish she would just ghost me again..

TWIN TUITION EPISODE FIVE

[Cade]

A bit of time has passed. Taylor, Cai and I started sophomore year and it’s going well. We are halfway through. Jordan started his junior year and things are starting to get real for him, as he’s preparing for the NSFL. Cai is pretty excited, but also anxious because she realizes it’s getting closer for Jordan to be away at times. 

Taylor and I have been doing some very small wedding planning. We plan to get married right after college. We’re really excited. So far, we’ve picked a date range and where we want to get married. We want to get married at The Astrum. It’s where we went on our first date. As for the date, we want to get married sometime in the fall, as it gives us time to plan, and we’ll be able to enjoy being newlyweds before I start the process of medical school. 

Ava didn’t speak to me for about another week after I told her I was engaged, and then she tried to call and text a few times asking to meet up. I didn’t respond. I wanted her to feel how I felt. After, she went abroad for the rest of the summer. We didn’t speak at any point during her time abroad, and I was actually okay with it. Now she’s back, and is attempting to reach out again. I don’t understand why she thinks us talking would make this better. You blatantly ghosted me because you were clearly upset about my engagement. I’m not sure what we need to talk about if you are still going to be envious of my relationship……

This summer I worked part time at a jewelry gallery. I really loved it, and may want to design jewelry vs clothes. I also used my discount and bought SO much jewelry. 

Jordan is packing as it is his first away game of the season. I’m usually okay with his away games because he’s not gone longer than 48 hours, but this one kinda bothers me….

Jordan: Can you hand me that shirt.  Cai: Sure.  Jordan: Babe, are you okay? Cai: Yeah, I’m fine.  Jordan: Our anniversary is tomorrow.  Cai: Yeah, and you won’t be here to spend it with me so…. 

Jordan: Babe I’m sorry. You know if I could get out of it I would.  Cai: I know. I’m not upset with you. I’m just upset about the timing.  Jordan: I still planned to have lunch with you tomorrow. 

Cai: How, you’ll be 2 hours away… Jordan: Facetime. I will order your favorite and we can eat lunch together.  Cai: So romantic…. Jordan: Cmon babe, I’m still excited.  Cai: You are…

Jordan: Yes, absolutely. We can go out for it when I come back as well. Cai: Won’t be the same….  Jordan: Are you going to keep throwing a tantrum or are you going to spend the little time we have today with me?

Cai: It’s not fair!  Jordan: I know babe.

I just had to fall in love with the dramatic, spoiled twin…

THE GROVES “TEENAGE YEARS” EPISODE NINE [CADE] PART THREE

After dinner, we get back in the car and head downtown. I wonder what else she has planned. So far, I couldn’t ask for a better first date honestly. I wasn’t expecting her to go all out like this… she clearly isn’t the same Taylor from before… 

Cade: Where are we going? Taylor: You’ll see…

We pull up to the Astrum. It’s a planetarium/ museum downtown. I love this place. 

Cade: The Astrum is open this late? Taylor: Well.. kinda…  Cade: I’m intrigued.  Taylor: Good, let's go in. 

When we get in, she takes me down the hall to a private screening room. 

Cade: Now I’m really intrigued. 

We head in and I'm speechless..

Cade: Taylor… What is this?!? Taylor: I found out that the Astrum does private rentals where you can pick a theme for the room and watch movies or documentaries.  Taylor: You like to watch the moon, or at least you did back then, so thought you’d enjoy being in space…  Cade: There's no way this was free. Taylor: Yeah it wasn’t….. Cade: Please don’t tell me you spent a lot of money for this…. Taylor: It doesn’t matter because I wanted you to experience it.  Taylor: Here, let's go lay back. 

Oh my god, it's a spaceship bed. 

Cade: This is so cute.  Taylor: I’m happy you like it. Cade: I love it. 

Taylor and I get comfy and watch the visuals around the room. 

Taylor: Cade… Cade: Yeah? Taylor: I’m sorry.  Cade: For what? Taylor: For not being honest back then.. 

Cade: It's fine, it was so long ago.  Taylor: I was being honest when I said I liked you Cade… Taylor: I just wasn’t being honest with myself about how much….  Cade: *nods* Taylor: So…. How does our night end…? Cade: How do you want it to end? Taylor: You know, I’d love it if it ended with you being my girlfriend but I know that might be too much, so at least a kiss…. Cade: *Laughs* Cade: What if you got both…. Taylor: REALLY? YOU’LL BE MY GIRLFRIEND? Cade: *Laughs* Yes,  I will.  Taylor: *Does happy dance* Cade: You’re so stupid *Laughs*

Taylor and I stay until our time is up and then she takes me home.

Volume 1, Edition 1.

Morgan poses in front of the camera trying to turn her head in the right angles and get the perfect lighting her for skin.

Morgan: Let me see some of the shots.

The camera man shows her the pictures on the camera and she studies them hard.

She nods and smiles.

Morgan: These will do, Greg.

Greg: Perfect. We'll do some last minute edits and get them sent out to your soon.

Morgan leaves the studio and her phone rings. It's her boyfriend, Maurice (Reese).

Morgan: Hey baby. What's up? Maurice: Hey. What are you up too? Morgan: Just left the shoot for the novel. What about you? Maurice: At the gym.. Did you forget about our date? Morgan: *giggles* No babe. I'm on the way.

Morgan speeds to Skye Fitness and meets Maurice there. She changes and they work out for a few hours. They end up on the basketball court taking shots.

Maurice: You ready for this L? Morgan: *laughs* Bro, please. I didn't hoop at UBrite 4 years for nothing. Out of my way! Be a good fan. Maurice: *laughs*

Morgan: Peep the follow through! Maurice: *admiring her* I see the follow through. Morgan: The ball is in the hoop, nasty. Maurice: Mhm, sure is!

They shoot around for a while before sitting down to catch their breath.

Maurice: How did the photo shoot go? Morgan: It went good. The pictures came out good. I can't wait to show you. Maurice: I can't wait to see them. Morgan: How's your campaign? Maurice: I couldn't be any happier. I'm ahead by 22%. Morgan: Look at you! I am so happy for you! Maurice: Thanks, my love. I leave for Oasia Springs in a few days. I was hopping that you'd accompany me. Morgan: What days? Maurice: This weekend. Leave Friday and come back Sunday. Morgan: I have a book signing Saturday. I'm sorry. Maurice: *sighs* Yeah, that's fine baby. I... I understand. Morgan: Do you really? Maurice: *nods* Yes, of course. It's cool.

Maurice is very put off for the rest of the evening. He's quiet and a little annoyed as they speak. He walks her to the car and kisses her good-bye. She watches as he walks to his car. His head low and body language changed. She sighs and presses her lips together.

They've been going through it for while trying to spend time with each other and keep up with each other but their schedules are both hectic. Morgan feels an odd sense of guilt as she puts her car into drive and heads back to her apartment.

THE FOXBURY FILES SEASON PREMIERE: THE FRESHMAN

Hey yall! I’m Blake. I’m 19, and a new freshman at Foxbury. I'm originally from Newcrest, where I live with my mom and dad. My dad is the CEO of a construction company, Richardson Building group. My mom is a neuroscientist. Although I come from a very affluent family, I try not to brag or show it. I don’t want people to think I got to where I am because of my family. I worked very hard to get into the institute and earn the full ride that I have.

I’m majoring in economics, although it wasn’t my first choice. I really want to major in communications, but my dad doesn’t think it’s a good career path. I hope I find a love for it within the four years I’m here....

I love to read. Books are my escape from the real world. I usually try to read 50 books a year. The only books I’m not very excited about are textbooks LOL.

I just moved into my campus apartment. I’m sharing an apartment with my best friend, Devin. You’ll meet her a bit later.

I’m so excited for college life. I finally get some independence. My dad worries about me a lot, but I told him I'm a big girl, and I’ll have grow up one day.

A Moment Of Weakness 🤍

Dirk flies out to Del Sol Valley for his fame ceremony. He gets to place his diamond on the stars walk of fame for his advancements in Technology over the years. The ceremony is going extremely well and everyone is overjoyed to see him.

Back home, Morgan is going through some of the work pain of her life. She fights through it until Dirk lands back home and finds her bundled up in bed. She's sent DJ to her parents house.

Dirk: Hey baby. Are you okay? Morgan: *groans* No... My stomach is literally killing me. I've been laying her for days. Dirk: Have you called the doctor? Morgan: No.. I can barely move. I can't... It hurts. Dirk: Roll over, I got you.

He lifts her up and carries her out the door. They rush to the hospital and Morgan is clinging tightly to Dirk. They finally call them back and Morgan lays on the bed balled up as Dirk rubs her forehead.

Morgan: Oh my gosh. Dirk... Dirk: What? Morgan: She asked when my last period was and I don't remember. What if I'm pregnant again? Dirk: So? That is fine with me. I got your back. Morgan: Dirk, I can't deal. I just got back down to weight... *tearing up* Dirk, oh my gosh. Dirk: Morgan, relax. You gain weight when you're pregnant. It's a part of life. There's nothing wrong with your size. Don't be so hard on yourself. Morgan: But Dirk, I can't model... Dirk: Morgan, you can be a model at any size. Don't be so vain. It is fine.

Morgan: Dirk, please... Dirk: Besides, that extra weight looks good on you. That might be why you're pregnant, if you are. Morgan: *wipes away tears and smiles* Dirk: You are beautiful to me whether you are pregnant or not, whether you gain weight or not, whether you lose all your teeth or not, I will love you. Morgan: I love you too. Dirk: If you want to go to the gym everyday, I'm with you. If you want to sit home and eat sushi all day, let me grab some chopsticks. I got you boo.

The doctor walks in and holds a chart. Morgan and Dirk turn to him.

Dirk: Well, what's wrong with her? Doctor: She's pregnant.

Morgan starts crying and Dirk shushes her. The Doctor explains that she is a little over 4 months and the pain is partly from implantation and her back to back pregnancies. Morgan cries and Dirk continues to comfort her. The Doctor prescribes her with medicine and leaves the room so that they can gather their things.

Dirk: I got you. Morgan: I know. I love you. Dirk: Relax. You'll feel better after you take the meds.

Morgan nods and climbs to her feet. They leave and head home but Morgan is still feeling sad. She walks inside and goes upstairs to shower. DJ stays with her mom and Dirk goes into his office. Morgan walks downstairs in her pajamas and finds Dirk in their office. Dirk can see the sadness on her face and before she even says a word, he embraces her.

Dirk: Shhhhh my love. Don't say a word. I got you. Let it all out.

The Day Before Harvestfest🍁🤎

Hillary has landed back in home in Willow Creek where her parents and younger sister Lauren and her fiancée reside.

Man, does it feel good to be home? Hillary has had a hectic couple of months with Nate and the trial so it feels nice to be home with the ones she loves most and celebrate her favorite holiday with them, Harvestfest.

Harvestfest is the Lovell’s favorite holiday because it’s the one time out the sim year that they can actually all get together and speaks time with one another. They usually all have those days off so it’s nothing but family time. However, things feel different when Hillary lands. No decorations? Foods not done. No dad??? He went to work? Yeah somethings off.

GROVE-ING TOGETHER MINI EPISODE TWO PART FOUR

Theo and TJ2 come back from pizza. They seem to have had a blast because he came back with all kinds of toys and gifts. 

Theo: We had a blast didn't we bud? TJ2: Yeah dad, we did! Dakota: Glad you guys had fun.  Theo: His mom is on her way to get him, and then I wanted to talk to you babe.  Dakota: That’s actually perfect, because I wanted to talk to the both of you! 

Jessica knocks on the door and comes in.

Jessica: Did you have a good time with your dad?  TJ2: Mom, we had so much fun! Dakota: TJ, why don't you go play with miso, she is very friendly.  TJ2: I got a dog too!  TJ2 goes and plays with Miso in the kitchen while the adults talk in the living room. Jessica: The lab says it may be another 24 hours, sorry for the delay.  Dakota: Oh that is fine.  Theo: It is? Dakota: Yes babe, it is. We don’t even need the result, he isn't yours.  Theo: Dakota, please. We talked about this. 

Dakota: No babe, this isn't me in denial. I KNOW he isn't yours for sure.  Jessica: How without the results? Dakota: Your son started to look around and saw pictures of our daughters. He asked if they were his sisters, and made the comment that “they look older than him.” I asked him how old he was and he said that you told him he had to be 7 while you were here.

Theo: What is she talking about Jessica?  Jessica: He’s just a kid, he doesn’t know what he’s saying. 

Dakota: Kids, they are very honest.  Dakota: So I did some digging, because I couldn't wait for the results.  Dakota: Did Theo ever tell you I was a lawyer?  Jessica: Uh… no. He didn't… 

Dakota: Well unfortunately for you, I still have plenty of contacts at my former firm. I had them look into his birth certificate. I bet you could imagine my surprise, when it stated he’s only FIVE.  Dakota: So Theo, unless you cheated on me while we were in college, he’s not your son.  Jessica: She’s making that up.  Dakota: And now you have the audacity to say I'm lying in my own house? Here Theo, here’s his birth certificate.  Theo looks at the document Theo: There’s also another man's signature on it. Jessica, is this true? Jessica: I… uh…uh Dakota: How did you plan to get around the DNA results? We sent them to an official lab?

TJ2 comes back in. 

TJ2: We went to a lab before we got here. It was fun. My uncle Charlie works there! 

TJ2 runs back out again.

Dakota: Wow…  Dakota: You planned to give him tainted results? Dakota: Once again, I am a lawyer?  Theo: Jessica, why would you lie about something as serious as this? Jessica: He needed a father that would provide for him. I knew you would step up if you thought you had a kid….. Theo: You come here and cause tension between my pregnant wife and I because of your poor choices??  Jessica: I’m sorry Theo.  Theo: And you put your innocent kid in the middle of this?  Theo: HE THINKS I'M HIS DAD, JESSICA. 

Wow, Theo never really gets this mad.. He must be disappointed at the results…. 

Theo to Dakota: What are you doing? Dakota: Calling the lab and telling them the results are tainted.  Jessica: Wait, please. I don’t want my brother to get fired. Please.  Dakota: And how is that my problem?  Jessica: I’m sorry, I’m sorry. I will take my son and go.  Theo: Not before you explain to him what is happening. 

Jessica calls TJ2 into the living room. 

Jessica to TJ2: We have to leave now sweetie.  TJ2: Am I coming back tomorrow dad? Jessica: Unfortunately baby, no. The lab results said Theo isn't your dad.  TJ2: But I wanted him to be my dad…. Jessica: I know baby, me too…

*Theo kneels down to TJ2*

Theo: Hey bud, if you ever need anything, or just want to talk about computers, just give me a call, okay.

Jessica: We’ll be going now. Theo: I meant what I said to him.  Jessica: *nods her head*

Jessica and TJ2 leave and Theo walks in the kitchen. I follow behind him. He puts his head in his palms. 

Dakota: Are you upset with me? Dakota: I’m sorry I didn't wait until the results but -  Theo: I am so happy you decided to be nosy. 

Was not expecting that reaction……

Dakota: Really? Theo: I honestly don't know what I would've done if he turned out to be mine. All I could think about is how it's going to change our family dynamic. 

Theo: I was very afraid I would lose you…

Dakota: I would never leave you, Theo.

Dakota: I would just have to accept our new reality at that point… Dakota: But at least we know the truth now.. Dakota: Theo… Theo: Yeah babe? Dakota: Are you upset he isn't yours? You seemed very disappointed… Dakota: You can be honest.  Theo: When I spent the day with him, I knew he’d fit right in with our family… he likes a lot of the things I did when I was his age.  Dakota: Mhm.  Theo: But, I still wouldn't want to change what we have right now if I didn’t have to.  Dakota: *Nods* Theo: Hey, look at me.

Theo: I love you. I love our kids. I love OUR family. You guys are all I need. I promise.

Theo: I’m so sorry you had to deal with this. Dakota: I love you too. It’s fine… it’s over now, right?

Theo: Yes. I don’t think anyone else will pop up from the past.

Theo: If they do, we will not answer the fucking door.

Dakota: *Laughs* Theo: Oh I meant to ask, what did the lab say? Dakota: Oh! When I called to inform them of what was going on, they let me know that her brother had been fired earlier yesterday morning, so he wouldn't have been able to taint the results as they had planned.  Theo: So, do you still want them? Dakota: Absolutely. I’m gonna put them on the fridge like a school drawing.  Theo: Babe… *Laughs* Dakota: Fine, I won't do that… but we will keep them for security purposes.  Theo: Sounds good.  Theo: I kinda want to go get our kids now.  Dakota: Yeah, let's go get them. I miss them.  Theo: We can all stop for pizza.  Dakota: Oh our kids get pizza seconds huh… Theo: See, everything is back to normal. You are back to being dramatic as hell.  Dakota *Laughs* Theo: I love you babe. 

Dakota: I love you too. 

I’m glad this is all over with. I don't think I could handle waiting another day for results. I know Theo would have done the right thing, he’s always been responsible. 

I’m just quite frankly glad he didn't have to….

this mod adds two new interactions for your sims when listening to music: calm listening and melancholic listening. includes custom animations tailored for both men and women.

base game compatible requires the xml injector

actions are added to stereos and headphones.

1. at first you need to turn on your music system, choosing your music type 2. and then selecting either "calm listening" or "melancholic listening".

autonomy is enabled, which means sims will sometimes perform actions independently.

transitions are smooth.

 calm listening:

requires a living chair, sofa or bench nearby.

helps reduce negative emotions.

requires a bed, living chair, sofa or bench nearby.

Sooo... I did a thing. This is what I imagine it would be like for a sim to take selfies, both with the whole camera UI +phone & phone case and without all that. And it's all in simlish!
