😍

Just a lonely kitten...
It took me quite some time to finish this illustration, mostly because I'm not that good at sci-fi-ish backgrounds. There might be a follow-up to this one, including something (or more precisely: someone) with a bit more of a sting.

I know, this didn't happen in the show. Still, I think Scorpia deserves a moment of pure joy. And Catra seems to enjoy it as well.

I got a wonderful commission based on a photograph of Vincent Cassel and Monica Bellucci from @rexnanorum and I love it! That's definitely something Catra might do! 🤣

Beautiful!
TOA Mermay Au 2025, my Seafolk, loveable giant Leviathan Aaarrrgghh!!!

Ok, so if wasn’t obvious, Aaarrrgghh is inspired by a Archelon, a giant sea turtle. Originally I had him as a type of blue whale, but I did some further exploration and this just fit too well.
Parts of his design are also taken from other reptiles, such as a snapping turtle for his spikes and horns.
Also disclaimer, Aaarrrgghh is actually bigger than his troll self in this Au, due to deep sea gigantism. But due to time and magic his flippers are powerful enough to support himself on land just like Blinky’s.

😲 oooh, he looks,great, i love him!

Edgey bastard Warlord!Stricklander from my Heart of Stone AU.
Because the idea of Strickler being the top villain for once is too irresistible and his chaotic energy would literally slay.

Well I wasn't going to do this, but @pinkytoothlesso11 inspired me to make this post. So here's a list of good things about Strickler we both surely love ☺️
1..His kindness. He was a changeling under Gunmar's influence, he didn't have to treat any on his students well. He certainly didn't have to treat Jim kindly, especially knowing that in the novels he wasn't a great student. But he did support Jim before Jim knew he was a changeling. Strickler could have decided to treat him as a problematic student, but he chose to be supportive.
2. His bravery. Yeah, he ran away from Angor Rot and he asked Jim to protect him, but he stopped being a coward after that. In Unbecoming, he told Jim to go to the museum because "Gunmar and Bular wanted him, not Jim", he fought alongside him in the Battle of the Eternal Night, and sacrificed himself for Jim in Rise of The Titans. None of that is something a coward would do— and he did all that without having a guaranteed inmunity.
3. His intelligence. It was him who proposed the plan for the changelings to take over the world. It was him who proposed the plan to defeat Angor Rot, or at least one of the two persons who did it (and honestly it would have worked without Barbara's interference). And he was also the leader of the Janus Order, so most of their plans were probably his ideas. Which, if you think about it, makes him the reason why no one realized for years that the changelings were rebuilding the Killahead Bridge.
4. He chose to take care of the babies freed for the Darklands. He could have left that to Barbara, or tried to convince her of put them for adoption, but keeping them and taking care of them just shows one thing: Strickler is capable of being a father, and he's willing to be one.
5. He could have stayed away in season 3. He could have chosen to hide like a coward and not be involved in the fight against Gunmar, but he did went back to Arcadia. And not only to train Jim so he wouldn't die, but also because of Barbara. He didn't have to try to make amends for what he did to her or to him. But by choosing to stay in their side, he showed how much he had grown.
6. His care for Jim. Not only at the beginning of the show, but also during his alliance with him in season 1 and in season 3. He saves him twice (? from an Angor Rot attack in season 1, he gives Gunmar's eye to him so he can have a better chance to survive, and he is so worried about Jim in season 3 that he even looks at Merlin with anger when he thinks Merlin hurt Jim. Even when he's trying to break the door of the bathroom, you can hear the desperation on his voice when he says "Don't do this, young Atlas. You're not alone". Yeah, he didn't open the door and he could have but that's writers' fault, not the character's fault. And let's not forget Rise of The Titans: the way he looks at him with relief when he sees Jim awake, how he helps him to get to the round table, how he jumps without thinking using his wings (the ones he said he couldn't use minutes before) to catch Jim and save him from a certain death, the way he ruffles his hair while telling him that he's so glad he failed at killing Jim, and even more important: how he sacrifices his life so Jim wouldn't have to die.
7. He didn't have to die to be "redeemed". This alone makes it a good reason to consider his redemption better than a lot of other popular characters' redemptions— that are less earned and somewhat more accepted.
8. His redemption (again). He worked for it. He didn't try to justify himself. He didn't say "But I did that because [x]!" or acted as if he did nothing wrong. Besides in Bad Coffee, when Morgana is trying to manipulate him into following her, you know what he says? (paraphrasing his words) "There's gotta be another way!". And you know why he says that? Because he knows he did wrong. Because he wants to believe there's a better path. Because he himself wants to be better.
9. His loyalty. Yeah— at first he was a changeling who served Gunmar, but once he switched sides and became Jim's ally, not even once he was tempted to betray Jim. Not even when Morgana used Barbara's aspect to convince Strickler of doing it. He could have given in —for fear, power, survival— but he didn’t. He made his choice, and he stayed true to it.
10. His emotional complexity. Strickler is not a saint, but he's no devil neither. He's a morally gray character, not a pure evil villain who isn't capable of feeling guilt, love, or fear. Pure evil villains are boring and flat characters, but he isn't, what makes him more compelling.
Ps: I didn't include how attractive he is, or how beautiful his troll form is, because I don't think those two things fit into what I wanted to say about him. Besides, I believe a character's appearance is neither a "good thing" nor a "bad thing" about them.
Ps 2: Strickler haters don't interact. I'm serious. Just don't do it. Please. I can discuss some things about him, of course, but if you're gonna just point out his flaws while ignoring the good things about him, please don't comment.

The kids aren't alright ...😱
...or something like that. As i am quite stressed with work stuff at the moment, i procrastinated a little this evening and made something cute and funny (and traumatizing from Jim) for you... I hope you like it. Besides the gif, i have some closeups for you. This is my first time drawing (human) Jim (i think).
