Between being out of town, having an internet outage, and some health issues, I almost forgot to share the cover I did for @harriertail's Warriors Cover Zine! I had so much fun with this and it was such a treat getting to work alongside so many other artists with a huge range of styles, and for a great cause! Thanks to everyone who supported!

why bother caring about the environment when 1. It’s so obviously a lost cause and 2. There’s definitely going to be a nuclear war?
And what are you doing about it Anon? Learn about ecological restoration or get out of my way.

Brambleclaw's character would have been so much better if he was an adopted older brother to Squirrelflight (she's Squirrelstar now but I stopped reading before that happened, or before Bramblestar happened for the matter).
Like,,, Brambleclaw clearly has daddy issues up the wazoo, and because Tigerstar was so absent, it makes sense that Firestar would fill that fatherly role by default just by mentoring him, and it feels so narratively satisfying for Firestar to essentially adopt Bramblepaw and stop seeing him as just "his enemy's son". Then when Squirrelkit and Leafkit are born, it'd be really neat for him to fill a more "protective older brother" type role. Hell, his annoyance towards Squirrelpaw could easily be fixed if it was more in the tone of "annoying little sister" rather than the more uncomfortable way it feels in the New Prophecy.
The angst potential during the scene where Firestar is caught in the fox trap too,,, like, imagine being told by your biological brother to kill the man who has basically been your father since you were a kit, on orders of your supposed "real father", someone who has been completely absent from your life and never showed any real care towards you, and having to re-evaluate who you really consider family. It'd make the moment where he kills Hawkfrost so much more impactful than it already is, as if confirming that family is the people you choose, not the one you're related to. Blood of the covenant and all that.
Unsure of how all the stuff for Power of Three would be handled, I'm sure that Leafpool and Crowfeather would still get together and Leafpool would have Jaykit, Hollykit, and Lionkit, but how she would hide that,,, I mean, unless Squirrelflight is still with Ashfur? I don't think their relationship is healthy (neither Bramblestar nor Ashfur are good for Squirrelflight), but I guess it could be interesting narratively? Like, the struggle of Squirrelflight growing sick of Ashfur's misogynistic condescending and xenophobia while still feeling like she has to stay with him for the sake of not just the kits she's grown to love as her own, but also her sister...
Plus, it could be nice to have Brambleclaw have a more supportive response than he does in canon, considering in this version he also understand the value of chosen family, regardless of blood, and he'd probably just want to protect his sister in that universe, at least in my mind. Also, considering Hollyleaf really valuing the code and probably respecting Ashfur a lot, I could see him being a very negative influence on her, honestly. The details about the fire scene I'm still fuzzy on, but yeah.

Isn't it fucking insane that so many people think that IQs are real. Like people genuinely believe you are born with one set level of intelligence that can be measured on a scale from 1 to ~200. As if intelligence wasn't extremely nuanced and completely subjective. And the fact that the majority of scientists that have advocated for IQ tests in the past have been eugenicists doesn't seem to concern anyone either

Olive yearns to know more about the world, Fallen wants to know less, Rainsnap feels haunted by it, and Bat wants to find her place in it.
All four cats find their truths are all entwined by the shadows of their ancestors and searching for the truth might be their only chance to be free of their inherited curses.
