Forgive the unedited basement lighting on this photo but. My god. My shopping did NOT pan out at all I can't stop laughing every time I glance over at poor Tris. What have I done to you my precious baby. boot to big for his dotdang feet.
#i think once i cut and style the wig it'll look okay but the boots... i fucked up. thats on me lol.#i couldn't find 1/4 shoes that were wide enough for his feet so i though i'd just... get 1/3 scale ones instead. oops.#well. as i told myself when i ordered them. i do want a 1/3 doll eventually so i'll consider them an investment in that dolls wardrobe. ehe#anyway. I'm so glad more and more company makes mature 45-51 cm males dolls. I love the big guys, they are so detailed and realistic, but painting them, storing or taking them out is really hard. Also this new small dudes are very good in price around 200 usd or less!! I've seen so far A0lingshi and Ringd0ll guys, but Miracled0ll, B0nbon Galaxy and C0ralreef doll also have maturish looking 1/4 bodies.

*shows up after a month of radio silence* hey. yeah. sorry i'm back. it still hasn't warmed up enough for me to attempt Tris's faceup(+i am scared af) so. i still feel weird posting him. i made him a new shirt so if i ever actually catch a moment when the suns out will try and take pics -_-)
anyway. i was stalking imomo/s weibo and this product photo has me so tilted. I should have ordered a Tiamat head instead of an Apsu. fuck it looks so good. posting it just for like. reference. if things really don't work out with his current head i will get a Tiamat next time.

I finished the pants but... none of the pictures i took came out good so i shan't be posting them. i'll try again tomorrow. for now i realized people probably edit their photos so i tried editing yesterday's pic.
since i had it open in csp anyway on top of colour adjustments i tried to make a mock up of the faceup i want to give him. in the end... it gives this pic a REALLY over edited quality so i don't know if the adjustments even made it look better lol
#i'm pretty sure i'm just gonna follow the contours of his actual eyes and keep the style of the lashes relatively simple#i like the moles though gonna do those for sure#anyway. been debating his name some more. i'm thinking maybe Tristan? could call him Tris for short#initially it came to me because of the character from all creatures but i realized it's ALSO a knight's name#so i don't have to completely abandon the knight themeing#doll pics

first attempt at a little sweater for my little guy 🥺 just need to make him pants now.

Okay! Finally found a use for this blog. i've been really wanting a sideblog for bj.d stuff (and doll stuff in general) but i've been undecided if i really need one. i've only got one bj.d (and he's not even here yet) so like. what would i post.
but actually it's my world i can do whatever i want forever. so. multi purpose consumerist hobby blog is go. for hobbies that involve me buying a bunch of stuff. i.e ita. bags, anime figures, doll furniture, bj.d stuff, other dolls i may or may not be ordering, mang.a, character goods. the lot.
i like the idea of taking pictures and categorizing the stuff i have, and i have really strong opinions on some parts of my collecting hobbies so it'll be nice to have a spot i can ramble about my opinions on manga spines without feeling like i'm talking toooo much.
#torn between leaving the title consumerist hobbies or changing it to something nicer like. this is my blog for my collections :)#but. i think it's good to be honest. i like stuff. i am NOT immune to impulse of buying things i don't need.#gotta keep myself humble.#added some periods to words randomly because i really don't want this drifting across any tags.
