Hello! I haven’t been on here often recently and I’ve been periodically seeing your Wicked fanart. I was wondering what your Scarecrow AU is about. I also love how you draw the characters, they’re so damn cute❤️

Hello again! Yeah it’s been a while since I’ve seen you :D

Scarecrow AU is the idea of swapping Fiyero’s fate with Glinda’s. (If you’ve seen the musical then you know). Technically it could happen at any point Glinda decides to show any allegiance towards Elphaba while in the city, but what if we pushed this more?

What if instead of her becoming the Good Witch, she decided to get on that broom? What if she loved Elphaba more than fearing the Wizard that she would rather be on the run by her side so she could help her Elphie? In doing so she becomes Elphaba’s biggest motivation to see her resistance through, but Glinda also becomes her biggest liability.

There’s more to this story, but here’s the beginnings to get an idea of the general setup and world building.

(I basically coparent this idea with @greta--gill now so if they’re comfortable I’m sure they can eventually get involved in answering stuff about this for you guys)

I love how?? Unapologetically open Glinda is about her change in wardrobe. Literally. Tits out, buttons open, and legs spread, in ALL the pieces where you put her in a suit LOL What a power move

I for sure see her change her style when she’s the Good Witch but I think she could also rock such a hoe era during shiz 😌✨

IM SORRY I swear I don’t mean to leave you guys in the dark about either au on purpose! I was working on a scarecrow project before being forced to take a break, but I’m getting back to it! There’ll be answers soon enough~

Glinda takes a…sabbatical from life for a hot second but she is around! She takes on a new form for a bit but eventually Elphaba will fix things the best she can in the end. Not always constant doom and gloom it’s just frequent✨

Glinda, my complex lil idiot child I love her a lot <3 and as my fav she gets the fun treatment™️

I see her as someone who feels very deeply and where her words fail, her demeanor speaks instead. Those sad brown eyes and anxiety brows carry a lot of weight, and I’m sure there’s a certain green bean who’d love to lighten that load one day.

YEAH THE BOYO 🔥🔥🔥 He’s a squeaky toy to be chewed on and he totally enjoys annoying Glinda by also wearing a tiny ponytail ✨

I have such a love hate relationship with him and I’m trying to lean more towards love. Cause he’s just a guy™️ and if you can like. Work out things post act 2, his potential shines a lot more than being just contained within it. For ME at least.

I’m currently trying to get his design more finalized. I do plan to give him his diamond markings and I wanna showcase how he looks in various stages of the story (shiz > emerald city > scarecrow etc) and even in my au’s since he features there too.

Elphie looks so good in a suit or uniform. Miss Uptight and Professional you bettah werk. And you’ll be seeing more open shirt Glinda cause I’m a lil hoe and wish to indulge. It’s a good look for her future self especially and it all started at Shiz with them blouses! Just pay attention and you’ll see it. Them opened buttons I know she wanted Elphaba’s attention directed there constantly.

On my end I’m making more art for the au, and the both of us are collaborating to further tighten our iterations for it (which is fun, you get two different interpretations). I’ve been asked by a few people now if I’ll ever write for this au or the likes and I might give it a chance in the future. Write out scenes that are a bit much for me to draw.

I know I’m slow and busy and should just answer asks with text but the art is fun and it just helps explain my thoughts. Have an update of my recent wip to keep you guys antsy:
