Exactly!! Dev knows how much it hurts to have someone never look at him when they’re speaking to him so he makes sure he’d never do it to someone else. Especially if he cares about that person

Yk how Dale avoids eye contact with Dev like every second in the show? Literally averting his eyes anywhere but in the direction of his son even when he’s talking to him (Except for very rare occasions when he’s trying to manipulate him or talk about business🙄)

I imagine because of that Dev is really intent on giving as much eye contact as possible to show that he loves someone. It’s like one of his love languages. He’ll stare at you intensely whenever you talk or you’ll catch him looking at you. He’s not afraid to of prolonged eye contact contact and doesn’t notice when it gets awkward. It can be on purpose or subconsciously. He won’t even realize he’s staring sometimes. He just likes looking with his big wet eyes full of love. He’d definitely stare at Hazel during class.
