" don't bother. you can't fix a clear skill issue with one complaint. " and considering since this establishment is still running, the people of this town must enjoy eating dog food. " you should know, i'm sure you've tried the food here. " isn't that why the girl is in such a bad mood? because she has to be surrounded by inedible food all day? she retracts her fork, setting it down on the table. her arms cross as she leans back into her seat. " are jobs hard to find? you clearly hate being here and with every second your expression sours your tip lessens by 10%... "
In all her time here, Georgia can confidently say this is the first time a utensil is in the other hand. Is this how her co-workers feel whenever she's in the kitchen? "Um, no, but I can pass your compliments to the chef." She grimaces. "What's wrong with it?"

" mango bay. " she chooses for them. she's not risking vivi be in poor condition over potential spoiled shrimp when she has dates to go on! chalita gasps. the sign of fine lines were so visible. " i'm booking you in right now. " she schedules nevaeh an appointment for tomorrow. she looks at vivi. " i don't care what you say, you're getting a laser treatment. " both of her roommates phones ping once the scheduling was complete. " never mind all that — i just got the contact information of the producer for the bachelorette. this is perfect! after your laser treatment we'll do an audition tape. " — @opvline
" you'd think living with a chef, i wouldn't have to worry about starving here in palmview ! shall i book dinner ? where do people eat around here ? " and, before vivi has the chance to suggest it, " – don't suggest giselle's. i know for a fact you won't stay sat for a full course without fidgeting. " and there's simply too much to catch up on – especially with chai. " i am, i am. i'll be here for a few months, at least. which really is quite convenient for me because... " she points to her forehead, making every effort to frown until the faintest lines reveal themselves upon her forehead, " i'm in desperate need of a touch up and my aesthetician, back at home, is on maternity leave. cute girl, but the dreadful outfit is weighing down her spirit. if god blesses you with visuals and you don't maximize it to your full potential — you are living life wrong! " ah! so it's like xanax for regular people. i'll take both. " the packaging could use some work... and the shop overall had bad feng shui. how is it still in business! she wonders if the girl actually takes this relaxing blend or if she's purely spewing out customer service nonsense. she picks up a few incense sticks. " do you sell these for wholesale? and if so, what is the MSRP? "
she's trying her best not to stare at the woman perusing their shelves, but having only one customer in the small shop makes it almost impossible not to. she's already welcomed her, and doesn't want to seem overbearing by asking if she needs anything again. she decides to busy herself with packaging small vials of sample teas, avoiding the urge to hum as she does. “what ?” she asks, head whipping up and fixating on the box in her hand, and then over to the one she's pointing to. “oh !” hands dust on her apron as she comes out from behind the counter, friendly smile plastered on her features. “the best way to put it is the calming blend is for your mind, where the relaxing blend is for your body. personally, the relaxing blend is a favorite of mine before bedtime. it has both chamomile and valerian root, so by the time my mug is finished my muscles are practically jelly.”

the word he uses to refer to her explains what type of person he is. she's not offended, instead, she's elated. only because this is the perfect specimen for the experiment she's conducting. she's impressed with herself, it didn't take long for her to find someone to match up with vivi. he'll definitely traumatize her back into dating billionaires! " an hour i can do. " she peers over, craning her neck a little to see if she can see a ring. " do you have any children? "

so it seems troy has two options — he can be a complete dick and ruin her day in its entirety, or in true customer-focused fashion, he can get her back on the road in no time. luckily, he’s in a good mood, and she hasn’t done anything to piss him off. so, he opts for the latter. “ look, love, i can clearly see you have places to be. if i have the parts, i should be able to get it done in… maybe an hour, tops? ”

" then i'll have to relocate somewhere so far the judge will not rule in my favour. " she had a backup plan and a backup plan to her backup plan and so forth. " my dearest, vivi — did you forget i thrive best in hostile environments? " she would make it so vivi's future husband would hate being around her first. " how the fuck does swimming come to your mind first when i say athletes? " swimming isn't even an attractive sport either. " you can't stand that i know what's best for you. " is it her fault for wanting to enhance her natural features? she's being such a good friend! " um, me? who else. " she stands up. " anyway, i have to get my car looked at, it's making weird noises. don't eat any garlic today in case if i schedule a date for you! "
“ or being forced to be with them there is going to be your personalised torture . ” she'd learned a long time before not to try understanding or questioning chalita's life decisions , just mind her business . “ not the same as finding one to be my husband , ‘cause you’d have to be on the look for someone you don't mind being around . ” and god only knew how hard of a job that was for chai . “ depends on the sport , i'm not dating some swimmer ; no one cares about swimming . ” if she were to be a wag , even an okay one , it should be at least to someone relatively important . “ please stop trying to inject things into my face . also do you , perchance , have a list of people you consider eight or above ? i'm just curious . ” she imagined it could be written in a post - it .

" you'd be a great airbnb host. " she meant it in the most insulting way possible. chalita looks to nevaeh with a look of concern. " babe, are you actually planning to stay here? " this is shocking news. " there is food? i put collagen powder in there yesterday? " not exactly food, but you ingest it the same way you would eat or drink something. — @opvline
" thank you for letting me stay with such little notice ! " while the hospitality at mango bay hotel was nothing short of lovely, she definitely overlooked just how 'cozy' the space would be when booking her indefinite stay. " i promise i'll start looking for a more permanent location once i've settled down. "

the shopping sucks in this town. all the shops look like they belong in one of those horribly colour graded cw shows! it doesn't help the particular one she's currently in overpowers her baccarat rouge 540. she uses the very tips of her fingers to pick up a box of tea. the handmade label is very noticeable. seems suspicious — dropshipping activity perhaps? but if they were dropshipping, surely they'd be selling more product and renovate the place a bit. " what's the difference between the two? " one says calming and the one beside it said relaxing — aren they not the same thing?

" i want to see those ungrateful fucks suffer when i go to hell. " chalita is self-aware enough to know she has collected enough bad karma — correction: all she ever collects IS bad karma. she knows she will not be seeing the gates of heaven. " um, i literally go near them all the time at airports when they're helping me with my luggage? " duh! " wait — how do you feel about athletes? you would make an ama— " hold that thought. she narrows her eyes at vivi. " mmmm.... — an okay wag. " she was seven years too late. " maybe like 20 units of botox on your elevens... and maybe 1ml of restylane on your upper lip... 6ml of rejuran... then you'd go from a 6 to a 6.5! georgina is a 5.5 at best so you'd be leagues above her. "
“ no , i pay people to be responsible for that part . ” because she had no knowledge on it and didn't care to either . “ don't go thinking of death now , you still have a custody battle to intentionally lose and a divorce settlement to cash on . ” there were no parts of vivi that doubted a pre - nup had been signed , but if she knew chai , there for sure was some loophole her lawyer was basing their entire claim on to get as much out of her husband as possible . “ of course , i'll base an entire relationship on three - minute - long conversations . ” you couldn't place a proper coffee order in such little time . “ you wouldn't want to go near a five figure blue collar hard work individual . but okay , i'll entertain you . just for the fun of it . no restrictions , who'd you set me up with ? ”

speedy — what? did people really say things like that in real life? " might? " might is not good enough! how is she going to get back home? do they even have an uber black option here? thinking about riding back seat in someone's tesla makes her nauseous. " and if you do have the parts how long would it take? " in translation: i have shit to do!

troy wasn't a stranger to people pestering him while he was working, and he couldn't help but let out a snicker at her blatant impatience. “ in a hurry, are we speedy gonzales? ” he knew better than to tease customers, though being a smart-ass was in his nature. “ looks like you’ve got rocks lodged in your brakes. i might have parts in stock to replace them. ”

" and this is why you're in the food industry and not marketing. " she repetitively smiles and purses her lips through the front camera of her phone, seeing if there were any signs of smile lines since moving into this tiny storage room they call an apartment. she felt like a rat in a laboratory! chalita did not think she would ever in her life sympathize with a rodent. if this doesn't make her shop cruelty free — what will! is this why people like ratatouille? " ugh, if i were an old caucasian man at least i would be closer to death! " she sighs dramatically. " i wouldn't have to see my kids or husband again. " what she said could have been insensitive considering vivi's dating history, but this is merely exposure therapy! the more they talk about it, the more she'll get over her trauma of dating someone rich! chalita is being charitable for offering her services for free. " if you have time to stand in your kitchen and talk to me about my skincare colonizing your fridge, i think you have time to date. and like i said, i'll shop around for a five figure, blue collar hard working individual — blah blah blah, missionary only, boring boring boring. "
“ turn it into a museum . ” she joked . “ and this is why i prize your opinion , other people would've lied not to hurt my feelings . ” and that was something she knew wouldn't even cross chai's mind . “ wasn't trying to , it was a polite request . ” she's only ever authoritative with her brother and at the restaurants ― even so , it was a soft - toned almost advice - like approach rather than a command . “ you sound like my father , and i know the most offensive thing one could do to you is compare you to an old caucasian man so … ” her voice trailed off , a hint of humour in it . “ and here i thought we were on the train to a roommates to lovers trope . you wound me . i don't have the time to be arm candy to a billionaire , chai . dating requires effort , and i just don't feel like making any right now . ”

" not true. if i like it, i wear it once and keep it in my archive. " a nicer way of admitting you're a hoarder without saying hoarder. it's all for the future! once she passes her estate sale will go crazy. a depop upseller's dream. " oh, thank god you said it first because teal definitely gives you a jaundice like complexion. " as if she wouldn't have told her otherwise. " you're so cute when you try to be authoritative. " this only tempts her to intentionally put her skincare on vivi's prized kitchenware. " so, my dearest vivi. tell me why you're not dating anyone? what do you think we need to work on? because i know a few billionaires — or multi-millionaires if you want to stay modest and humble who would be very interested. but if you want to keep it cute, i suppose i can scavenge for someone local with a sad five figure salary. unfortunately, for you, i'm still legally married and not interested in you. "
“ prada . double . teal . ” she specified . “ and that's because you wear something once and already think it should be discarded . ” and perhaps it was because vivi wasn't born into money that she had a lot more care for hers , despite being known to not hold back on spending it when the opportunity came . “ but not this time , i was trying something new with the colour but it just doesn't suit me . ” too much of a contrast to her exclusively neutral looking wardrobe . “ no , i didn't . ” she almost laughed . there wasn't even much in the fridge since viviènne had most of her meals at the restaurant and , whenever she needed groceries , she'd get only what she'd be cooking from the garden on the way home . “ but i would appreciate it if your products did not touch my christofles . or the puiforcats . or any of the hermès . ” basically none of the kitchenware .

who is she talking to? the girl looked too old to be having any imaginary friends. she proceeds to walk to find a spot to sit without any disturbances. to her dismay, the girl targets her attention toward chalita. " i didn't ask. but yes, good for you! " ugh, she should have dragged vivi with her — she could have repelled all the small talk by using her friend as a shield. as her foot reaches to take another step, the girl speaks again — and then again. this time, chalita is visibly annoyed, she pushes her sunglasses up. to look at the crab resting on the sand and then to the girl. all this fuss and baby talk for a crustacean? " kill it or eat it. or both if you like seafood boils. "
Location: Beach (of course) Status: OPEN | @palmviewstarters
Sadie’s crouched near the shoreline, sand clinging to her knees, fingers gently cradling what appears to be a confused (and slightly grumpy) horseshoe crab. Her surfboard’s stuck upright in the sand nearby, wetsuit unzipped to the waist and hanging loose around her hips.
She’s talking to the crab like it’s a toddler who wandered off at the grocery store.
“Buddy. You are so not supposed to be here.” A pause. Then, to no one in particular - maybe the wind, maybe the sky:
“I mean, same, but still.”
She notices someone watching. Blinks. Smiles a little sheepishly.
“Don’t mind me, just trying to save a prehistoric sea bug from certain death. No pressure or anything.” She glances back at the crab. “And you need to stop pretending you’re lost on purpose.”
Beat. Her eyes flick back up again, brighter this time.
“You local, or just visiting the weird part of the beach today?”
Then, without waiting,
“Wanna help me put him back?”

" what bag? " she has so many! " don't bother. you can keep it. you're used to accepting my hand-me-downs anyway. " she looks to her nails, admiring her fresh set of acrylics. " i did a little fridge cleaning, you had so many expired things, disgusting. " they weren't expired. all the prepped containers had dates meticulously written on them. however, those same containers were taking up too much space. where is she supposed to put her pdrn moisturizers?! suppose they can call it even for leaving her bag behind. if anything, chai is being generous! garlic confit and minced veggies do not equal in value to what was most likely a five thousand dollar bag vivi abandoned.
at the apartment with chatnalin vijigvongthong … @sirenoire
“ if you're looking for your teal bag , i borrowed it yesterday . and left it at the restaurant . ” sitting pretty over the desk in her office , because she'd forgotten she had taken it there in the first place not being used to carrying that particular bag around , given it wasn't hers . “ i'll bring it back tonight , promise . ”

— temporarily living in harborview residences in apartment 5c with vivi — her extended family lives in palmview, she's been familiar with the town her whole life. has spent summers and holidays there.
𝙝𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙮
— her grandparents became rich since they were some of the first thai people to settle in florida. if anyone wanted to immigrate into the states from thailand, her grandparents would help with their application process followed by a nice tip. their influence was very prominent and they became pillars of the thai community in florida. they were able to invest in a lot of properties as well as create a successful thai family style restaurant chain. — her father moved back to thailand since there was family drama due to multiple "unclaimed" property left behind from his parents. the people in their village were trying to take it for themselves since it had been vacant for some time. his parents didn't want to deal with it so the burden fell onto her father since he would eventually inherit all the properties once his parents pass. out of spite and not wanting to deal with the angry mob of villagers, he sold the property to a coffee franchise, a boba franchise and a kfc. he felt guilty for gentrifying the area, but at least he was handsomely paid. — her mother and her three children moved to thailand and soon after chatlina was born. — pretty privilege worked to chatlina's advantage. she hardly had to do anything to live a comfortable life. casting directors and modelling agents would chase her down, and she was popular in school. — what she fears most in life is to be broke or to be average. and both of those things were beneath her. sure, she could have easily gone down the celebrity route, but not being in control of your likeness and having to serve others constantly grossed her out. yes, her family was and is rich, but she can't depend on her family to stay rich. who knows what one of them will do for their legacy to crash and burn! – and with that, it doesn't come as a surprise that her only intention in going to med school was to become a plastic surgeon and eventually open up her own practice and make a lot of money. she created her own franchise, hera clinic. she originally launched in miami. it was a big success which resulted in many more clinics opening in florida, across america and even in singapore, bangkok and saigon. — she was on two seasons of the real housewives of miami. she was a fan favourite. left the show since separating from her husband and moved to palmview. she didn't want this part of her life to be broadcasted for everyone to see. and it's embarrassing to talk about her divorce to people considering it's still all over the media. — the reason she moved to palmview: it's close enough to miami and it's familiar. most of the people living there look like they don't pay attention to reality tv shows on bravo and don't care to know the intimate parts of her life.
𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘁𝘀, 𝘄𝗰
— siblings : can be half-thai or fully thai, i can edit her bio to adjust accordingly — cousins : half-white, thai or half-thai. — assistant : anyone younger than her with the appropriate experience — employees : anyone who works at her clinic — interview : anyone trying to work for her or her clinic
