Easter was usually one of Alice’s favourite holidays. Not exactly for the religious aspects, but for the chocolate, and the easter egg hunts. She hadn’t done them as a child, but had grown to love all of the muggle traditions once she’d broken away from her family. It was why she had said yes to going to the Hyde Park event with Sirius, when really she’d just wanted to say no. She knew she needed to get out more, and Sirius had always been great company in the past. And now that she was here, she was actually enjoying it. Alice made a mental note to thank Sirius later for inviting her.
She looked at him as he spoke, and she smiled. “Hmm….. I think one of those stalls is selling Cadbury’s chocolate…..we should go get some. My treat.”
_
Like Alice, Sirius had fallen in love with muggle traditions. His personal favorite was Christmas, while the other holidays just seemed as an excuse for him to eat as much as he possibly could. This Easter was a bit different due to the fact that he wasn’t at the Potters. Instead he was here with Alice, hoping that the Easter festival would lighten her spirits--or at the very least distract her from her broken heart. Standing up from his spot on the bench, Sirius joked, “What are you doing sitting down? Someone’s got Cadbury chocolate over there.”

Above the tree line, sat a few buildings marking the city that surrounded Hyde park. An Easter egg hunt was to be held here, something Sirius hadn’t experienced before. His family wasn’t particularly fond of celebrating anything that could cause a mess. In front of him, several swans dived for food on the river, while behind him was a field. Half of it empty, aside from the Easter decorations, while the other half had tents which housed both muggle and wizard shops for the day. Next to him was Alice, who he asked, “Do you want to go look at anything?”

Task 2 || Sirius Black
1. What he fears:
Sirius fears isolation. He hates being alone especially in his house. At first he didn’t think he’d mind living on his own. Having an entire space to himself sounded like god-sent. However once he managed to get his own home, he immediately knew he was wrong. The house was too quiet compared to his family home, where Kreacher would be cleaning, and his mother yelling and it wasn’t warm enough compared to the Potters home, where the halls seemed to be filled with laughter.
2. What he wants:
He doesn’t want any of his younger brother or any of his friends taken away.
3. What he’s willing to do to get it:
Despite his ever growing cynicism, he pushes himself to go to any meetings that’s put on by the Our World movement. He hopes that constantly going to the meetings will prove him wrong in thinking that people are only motivated by their own self interest and that the movement will actually do something to help his brother and friends.

“Your shop?” Lily didn’t take Sirius to be a business owner at first glance, but now that he’s said it, it only makes sense. He never seemed like the type that could work for anyone other than himself. Lily doesn’t think that’s a bad thing; the world needs more self-starters like Sirius.
Lily nods and lets out a soft sigh, reaching up and pulling her hair over her shoulder. “I’ll admit that recently I haven’t been able to make it as much as I’d like to. I’m in my third year of my Healer’s residency in the St. Mungo’s emergency room. It’s like running the gauntlet every day, feels like I can hardly get a break.” She chuckles, offering a sheepish smile. “But I love it. My schedule is normally four days on, three days off, but sometimes I’m on call during those days and you never know when shit will hit the fan.”
“Yeah.” He responded. “Black’s Broom and Body. Not the most creative name on Earth, but it gets the point across to everyone that we work on cars and on brooms.” Sirius shrugged. He wasn’t used to talking much about his shop. With most of his employees being what the government would call “difficult semi-human cases” he tended to not go into much detail even at the meetings. The idea of it getting out wasn’t something that sat well with him.
“Ooh. A healer?” He questioned teasingly. Unbeknownst to him, he agreed with Lily in a sense. Whereas she didn’t take him for a business owner, he didn’t take her for a healer. In fact, with the rumors he remembered hearing of her during their time in Hogwarts, then add his own experience with her, he thought she’d end up working for the government somehow. “That’s good.” he replied sincerely, “Can’t have too many healers in my opinion. Especially unjudgmental ones.”

seekerbenjy:
Align || Sirius & Benjy
He really shouldn’t be smoking, but the nice thing about standing outside of Sirius’s shop is a majority people give him a second glance. Benjy had gotten a taste for them again after his unexpected night with Sev, and smoking kept his hands busy while he was waiting, slowly pacing in front of the shop front and warily eyeing his broom propped up against the wall. He smiles when he sees Sirius walk up the street-it’s early, Benjy hasn’t been to bed yet, not drunk any longer but wired from the night out-and hyper over the aspect of something being wrong with his broom.
“Figured I’d get here before your throng of admirers.” Benjy calls down the street, shouldering his broom as Sirius approaches.
“Got a minute-or a few? Something’s off with the alignment-or something, not sure. I was 3 seconds slower yesterday than normal during drills-and it wasn’t me. I swapped brooms with Sutton and was back to normal.”
Benjy takes a breath and smiles again.
“Also-hi.”
@sirius-mischief
With a cup of coffee in hand, Sirius smiles sleepily to the man. It had been a long night for him, tossing and turning as he worried about his younger brother kept him awake for hours. “Good thing you did.” he chuckled as he opened the door to the shop “I’ve got about an hour before our first appointment comes in, then I’m pretty sure most of us are booked for the rest of the day. So hand it over.”
Looking over the broom, he began his usual questioning, “When was it worked on last?” Figuring out if the broom just needed a good tune or if something else was wrong would be the best place to start. He then asked his dreaded question “Who worked on it last?” Sirius hated undoing someone else’s work, especially if he didn’t know if any modifications had been added or not. If another mod is added or he removes a mod, he runs the risk of bottlenecking the broom or worse breaking it. After a brief pause, Sirius added, “Have you added any mods or had any removed recently?”
“Also, when you do drills, do you and Sutton use the same brand?” While to some, the name typically meant nothing, but unfortunately it wasn’t that simple especially in terms of Quidditch. Some brands, like any Nimbus, would continue to move without a rider if they had fallen off. Any Firebolt, however, would stay still. While most Starsweepers have a better cushioning charm on them making them the most comfortable to ride. “Probably a stupid question to ask, but I gotta ask it anyways. You’d be surprised how many people don’t take that into account.”

Tending to not upload often, Sirius gained a bit of a following on instagram after he began uploading videos of different vehicles. Starting with a simple “Point of View” ride on his bike around London, he would then add a video going over all his modifications. After that, he would begin posting restorations on different cars, along with his “point of views” of bike rides, and a few random pictures here and there more often. While instagram is his most active app, Sirius also has the tinder and twitter apps installed on his phone and can be found frequently looking at recipes or D.I.Y.s on pinterest when he’s bored.

The meeting had yet to begin. James, however, could have sworn that they were running late. This gut feeling had Sirius speeding down the road as the boys had made a bet that the first to apparate owed the other 5 galleons. Located in Edenbridge, the cream colored building would have been hidden by the amount of flowers and trees if not for the light in the bay window. The moment the two walked into the building, both agreed to split up in search for the other two Marauders. In his search, Sirius’ gaze fell onto Alice. He was happy to see his cousin there, as he thought he didn’t fully convince her to come. “Alice.” He greeted with a smile. “When’d you get here?”

“Please, you’re going to give me a big head.” She laughed a bit, it was rather nice to have some attention. Especially these days. He raised his voice a bit and the other mean seemed to shuffle back to work. It was always good to see Sirius even if she had to pull into his work to make that happen. “You’re one of like seven people on earth who would call me nice, Sirius.”
Andy nodded at his explanation. “I’m glad at least you two are eating well then.” Perhaps it was being a mom but she did worry about her younger cousins. “Does sound like your friend.”
“Yup, due in August. You ready to be an uncle again?” She said with a smile.
“Bollocks.” Sirius refuted. “You are nice. At least to everyone here, and honestly, that’s all that really matters to me. They’ve all got their own struggles and I hate it when customers come in here acting like their better than them. It’s fucking weird.”
“In August? Really?” Sirius asked as his voice raised in pitch. He was happy for her and Ted. “Do you know what your having yet? What about a baby shower? When’s that?” he questioned out of excitement. Just like he did for Nymphadora, Sirius would definitely buy the kid something grand, and probably unneeded. “I hear toy broom sticks are selling like crazy these days.”

“I don’t need money, it wasn’t about money.” Regulus shook his head. There were other jobs he had throughout the years, that was good enough to afford what he needed. Even if he was having financial issues, he wouldn’t go to anyone, not his parents, not even Sirius. It better for him to learn to stand on his own feet. “You know very well I’m god-awful with cars, I can’t even drive.” He pointed out.
“I won’t be drawing more attention.” He continued. “I gave them some bullshit line about the Ministry having ‘impossibly high standards’ and how I thought I could ‘never achieve them’.” He rolled his eyes. “They ate it up thankfully. Agreed to keep how I was hired under wraps. Apparently they’d be embarrassed if they found out how easily I was about to get in.” He paused for a moment. “ I didn’t take into account of any other hidden security measures. I triggered one which sent them right to me. They’ve only got my IP address, not my tag, so at least there’s something good that’s come out of those.”
Regulus didn’t speak for a few moments.
“They had me scared shitless.” He admitted after a few minutes. It was hard to get out, hard to say it outloud. “My first thought after thinking they knew what I was was that they’d go after my family next. You, Mother, Father. They’d consider you accomplices. I think that’s what scared me the most.”
“You just mentioned that you did it for the payout.” Sirius responded with a raised eyebrow. He knew how stubborn Regulus could be at times. It was no surprise for him to hear any excuse his younger brother would come up with to avoid anyone knowing he needed help. “I didn’t say you had to work on cars. There’s plenty for you to do around here that doesn’t require you to even get into a car.”
“Just me more careful.” He sighed. “Promise me you’ll be more careful.” It was rare for Sirius to see his brother mess up, especially to this extent where his younger brother felt the need to come to him. “If you decide to look through their stuff, just keep thinking they have an alert system for their alert system. If you get caught again, I don’t know what they’ll do. You might be able to talk to Andy about what they could theoretically do”
“Yeah? I bet.” He replied with a small chuckle. “I think all they’d do is interrogate us. I mean, as far as I know the only thing that they’d have on us is that we’re related. They can’t prove that we know anything about you reading minds.” He shrugged. “I mean, they could pull memories out, but I don’t know if the Ministry would go that far or not. Right now, you’re the one with the most eyes on you, so for now, just worry about keeping yourself safe.”

hanged man
hanged man: how do you feel about martyrs?
I hate that the term exists--or should I say the reason the term exists. Why kill someone simply because they believe in something different than you? Makes no sense to me why anyone would. Quite sad really.

moon
moon: do you have any recurrent dreams?
I tend to have a recurrent nightmare of being stuck at home with my parents and our house elf, Kreacher. While there are doors inside the house, none of them lead to the outside. I can hear people calling me, but no matter where I look in that bloody house, I can’t find them. I tend to wake up once I open my bedroom door though.

hermit
hermit: what are you like when you’re alone?
I prefer to busy myself by putting on some music and cleaning or baking my own bread, or some type sweet; mostly devils food cake as it’s my favorite. Then I tend to pester Moony into being my guinea pig once he comes back home. If I don’t feel like doing anything at home, you can find me taking a walk around town or at my shop.

Lily liked reconnecting with people and, despite her hectic schedule, she enjoyed making new friends. Who’s to say she couldn’t find some commonality with Sirius?
“Oh you know, wildly busy with work but doing alright otherwise.” She gives him a grin. “It’s been ages since I’ve seen you. You’re all grown up,” she teases.
“I’m a little surprised to see you here, although perhaps I shouldn’t be. You always seemed to be a bit of a revolutionary. How involved are you? I’m surprised we haven’t run into each other at these meetings before now.”
Sirius chuckled, “Yeah. Time seems to do that to people.” He looked around at all the people. It comforted him to know that so many people, especially people who he went to school with, were willing to fight for people like Remus. Sirius had dragged Remus here, claiming it was to show his friend that he had so many people that thought he was worth fighting for without knowing his condition. Although, if Sirius was honest, it was partially because he, himself, was losing hope in the fight. There just seemed to be twice as many people who were against Remus and others like him, and it caused Sirius to fear the worst for his friend’s safety. As his gaze landed back onto Lily, he said, “I’m not as involved as I’d like to be. My shop can get busy sometimes, so I end up missing a few meetings here and there, but I try to get involved where I can.” He crossed his arms and continued, “What about you? I don’t remember seeing you at the meetings before. Then again, I normally have James whispering in my ear about something.”

“Yeah, maybe or maybe they’re calling me a MILF. We’ll never know.” Andromeda said throwing another look at the people behind them. She nodded at his direction and pulled her car into the garage where he had pointed. Opening the door she exited the car with a shake of her head. “Now it’s been fine, I know I’m over due for the oil change though. So no need to lecture about it.”
It made her happy to know that he would eat well tonight. “That’s fine too, you know you can always come for dinner.” She said knowing the offer had been made a thousand times before. “Alright, getting the nursery back together.”
“Actually, I don’t think you’re far off. I tend to notice work slows down a bit when you’re around. It’s almost like they’re more interested in showing off to you rather than doing their jobs.” As he spoke, Sirius raised his voice towards the end, letting the shop know that he wanted them to get back to work rather than be concerned with Andy. “You’re probably our nicest customer, you know? So they’re happy when you come around.”
“I know, I know.” He sighed. “I’ve got Remus living with me now, and I don’t like leaving him there while I go and eat. I’d rather just make food at home or stop by somewhere and grab us both something to eat. Merlin knows he’d probably forget to eat studying for some exam he has to take.” As soon as Sirius began to work on her car, he stopped and asked, “Back together? What?”

regulus-stygianlion-black:
Regulus rolled his eyes, but Sirius had a point. “I know it was stupid.” It was the challenge of it all that made him agree. There were many red flags, but he ignored them entirely. “Its not like I didn’t think it was weird, but it was a good pay out. It was a challenge for me.” He sighed. “A mistake clearly.”
“They’ve got me coming into the Ministry each day.” He paused for a moment. “They pulled up my exam when I came in the first day. Wondered why I didn’t join sooner and was wasting my talents. Father must have paid well for it if they’re saying that.” Regulus said. “I’ve seen the news. I’m trying to keep my head low. Right now, I can’t do much research on my own, but I’m watching, listening where I can.” He didn’t speak for a moment “They caught me once already. What if they caught me again? I won’t have a choice then.”
”Do you need money?” Sirius worried. “If you need it, you could have asked. If you didn’t want me to give you any, then you could’ve worked here for a bit.” Sirius grabbed a cup and spoke over the rim, “Then let them keep wondering. Try not to bring any attention to your test and your legilimency. Okay?” While he knew these things were obvious, he still felt like he needed to repeat them. Almost as if it was an attempt to self-comfort while trying to keep his brother safe. He took a sip from his drink, then continued, “Just keep your head as low as you can. As for getting caught... do you know how they caught you the first time?”
