My last member of my Inquisitor Lavellan's found family, Nalani. She was found by Renehna's mother as a Tal-Vashoth mage. She was young coming to stay with Ren's mother, and lived with Faye for most of her adolescence.
Arriving at Haven proved to be challenging for a girl who never quite fit in in any group she was apart of. Whether as a Tal-Vashoth or a part of the blended family Inquisitor Lavellan's mother carefully crafted, and especially at Haven. When she met Sera, she found someone who felt the same, and their relationship bloomed from there.
Nalani's magic relies heavily on using primal magic to create a shell around her, causing chaos outside while keeping people inside of her magic shell safe.

Next up is the Trevelyan twins, Ronan and Gwen. Born as the only children of the Trevelyan household, they were separated at the young age of 7 after Gwen was discovered to have magic. Ronan grew up tinkering with mechanical innovations to escape the pain of missing his twin, and Gwen threw herself into her mastery of magic to take her mind off of the loneliness and rejection she felt. Gwen became the youngest mage in Ostwick to undergo her Harrowing, and Ronan became the head of the household and everything that would entail.
More on them under the cut, my next and last part of Ren's family is Nalani Adaar and Lucienne Cadash, a qunari and half-dwarf.
Ostwick circle was in chaos when the mages rebelled, and Gwen found herself running away. She had a chance meeting with Renehna, who took her and a few sickly mages into safety. Ren ended up welcoming Gwen into her own family away from Clan Lavellan, and Gwen took over Ren's duties to help care for people when Ren went to the Conclave. It wasn't until Ren reached out to her family that Faye and Gwen knew Ren survived and they moved to Haven with the remaining sickly members of their family, most of whom didn't make the trek.
Once she arrived at Haven, Ren gave her the option to reach out to her twin brother, who came immediately upon hearing what was going on, as well as getting answers--he worried himself sick as he was unable to find Gwen when the Circles fell. As a united pair of twins, they decided to serve Ren personally as Inquisition agents, with Ronan's solemn promise he would help Ren's family and clan both survive.
Ronan was beside himself for the three years he struggled to find his sister, but ultimately assumed she must be alive somewhere. Growing up in the strict house he lived in changed him fundamentally, but being around his sister was healing for him. He finally felt himself begin to relax before Haven fell to Corypheus.
At their core, Ronan and Gwen are twins who became each others mirrors even with the distance. So different from how they remember each other but still somehow the same. Gwen is determined to pay the people she owes back with her life, taking on a true example of knighthood, while Ronan clings to his sister, praying she learns some self-preservation skills. Ronan would be the first person to admit he at his core is selfish, terrified of losing Gwen or anyone else he's grown to care about.
Religion-wise, both grew up with a strict upbringing. Gwen clung to her beliefs--she believes in the Maker, and struggles with the idea of forgiveness. Ronan has rejected all of it, steadfast in his belief that the Maker can't exist if she would allow the suffering inflicted by Templars and the Chantry.
Gwen falls in love with Cullen, who both learn to heal in their own way. Ronan, after running away from love for so long, falls in love with Dorian.

This is a bit of a side character in my Inquisitor Ren's story, but this is Faye Amell. During Inquisition when she can go into the field, she's a mage that prefers to use archery as a Tempest. She uses her own magic instead of potions, however. She's a very gentle person at her core, but struggles with the balance of head versus heart after having her tranquility reversed. I also included what she would most likely do if she were the Inquisitor.
Faye throughout Inquisition is looking for a way to help Ren, as well as how to become whole after everything that's happened to her. She also fell for Josephine and fell hard; After the events of Trespasser Faye moved with her to Antiva.
More on her under the cut cuz I think she's nifty. Next I'll include my twins that Inquisitor Ren befriends.
Faye was the second eldest of five children and was born in the Free Marches, and taken to the Starkhaven Circle after her magic appeared at the age of 7. Shortly after her Harrowing, when she came into contact with a demon of Tragedy that frightened her. Wanting to do the right thing, she went to pray, and ended up telling a Chantry member she thought she could trust--which was ultimately the wrong move. Faye was made to be Tranquil at the age of 16, around 17 years prior to Inquisition.
In 9:31, Faye was being moved to the Kirkwall Circle after Starkhaven burned to the ground by a single Templar escort, and as they neared Sundermount, and due to a rush of spirits in the weakened part of the Veil, Faye was touched by a rush of spirits, and in such, was cured. The outpouring of magic she endured led to the death of the Templar traveling with her.
She can't remember what happened, but Ren Lavellan and her mother found Faye curled up on the side of the road, facing the aftermath of getting her magic back alone. Ren's mother took Faye with her, and had her live in the woods nearby Clan Lavellan as she taught Faye how to live again, and how to use a bow and arrow if she wasn't comfortable with magic. In this time, Faye and Ren created a bond--they were sisters. With the death of Ren's mother, who continued to take in vulnerable mages to live with Faye, Ren took over the mantle of her mother, determined to keep her second family safe.
Faye is aware she has four other siblings--one being a Warden that helped to end the Fifth Blight-- but she only has concrete memories of her eldest brother. She's aware she has a fractured family and part of her character is finally locating her missing family members and reaching out.

My Lavellan! Renehna (Reh-neigh-na) Lavellan was a mage a part of Clan Lavellan, who has a complicated relationship due to her mother's mission of protecting vulnerable mages. Ren becoming Inquisitor after the Conclave was complicated--she was uncomfortable with the status of Herald, but saw the good she could do to continue her deceased mother's mission.
She fell in love with Solas as she found a great source of comfort in the stories he told, and in the way he spoke of spirits. When he left, she struggled to understand why and had two years of pain. Learning what his plans are and who he was, Ren's goal was to try to get him to see another solution. This is paired with anger--the family she found is full of mages that would die if Solas' plan happened as intended.
Other important notes is I haven't decided what to do with Hawke, but Stroud for now is left behind. She drank from the well, and reunited Celene and Briala with major hesitance on her part.
Those are my main heroes in Dragon age, but next I'll be including Faye Amell, older sister to Desdemona and through a twist of fate, Ren's adoptive sister.

Next up on Dragon age characters is Marceline Hawke. The eldest Hawke and a mage the primarily uses lightning, earth, and healing magic. I'll have to draw her in Inquisition. She's romanced to Fenris and overall...has a rough time in Kirkwall. I gave her a similar expression to Desdemona--they're cousins that most likely never meet but they're fairly alike.
Marceline and her relationship to her family and her extended family's problems is probably my favorite thing to write about, making Desdemona and Marceline easily my favorites.
Next up is my Inquisitor, Renehna "Ren" Lavellan and her AU in Inquisition, "Enasal," which focuses on Ren and her found family.

Next up is my Awakening Warden I have, Venance Caron. A city elf from Orlais with a complicated past and a duty to keep Amaranthine safe. Way in the future, he's in a relationship with Anders after the events of Dragon Age 2.
Down below I put what he'd do if somehow he was a Warden during the events of Orignis, but in Awakening, he made a deal with The Architect and kept Amaranthine and the Keep standing.
Next up I'm going to draw my Hawke!

Second up on my Wardens I have Warden Amell, my mage run in Origins.
Desdemona Amell is the third of 5 children, and the cousin of my Hawke. She primarily works as a Arcane Warrior/Battlemage with healing capabilities--truly an all-rounder. She fell in love with Zevran and is currently nowhere to be found, but it's assumed where she goes, Zevran goes and vice-versa.
In my Found Sisters duo, Charlotte and Desdemona make decisions together, though Desdemona usually prefers Charlotte making the tough calls. Something Charlotte and Desdemona share is their wavering faith that comes to a head at the Temple of Sacred Ashes, but I'll write more on that another time.
Next up on my list is Warden Caron, a character that accompanies Desdemona during their time in Amaranthine.

Thought I'd post my first bit of art as introducing my world state characters! The first one up is Warden Cousland, Charlotte. Charlotte is one half of my duo in what I call Found Sisters, which is a duo warden group comprising her and my Warden Amell (who I'll post next). Primarily a Ranger, though she has had training in Bard from her budding friendship with Leliana and Legionnaire scout in her time on in Awakening. After Origins, she married Alistair and became the Queen of Ferelden.
