The Warner yanks a nice and shiny harmonica out from the pocket.

Yakko stoops down to look over his brother’s shoulder into the fridge. He can see the icicles forming on Wakko’s hat, and decides it’s best to nudge the door closed with his finger. It snaps shut quietly, as to not wake his other sleeping sibling.

“I’ll make you a hot cocoa. Scalding enough to give you third degree burns. Sound good?”

Whether or not Wakko wants to eat the mug too is up to him.

Wakko had gotten out of bed for a late-night snack, and, unfortunately, had not found anything in the fridge worth eating. But that certainly hadn’t stopped him from looking. And looking. And looking.

season 2 decided to shit (haha) all over this so I will close my ears to that particular song.

Yakko follows the Roger Rabbit rule when it comes to swearing: Only when it’s funny.

Yakko maybe underestimated his boyfriend’s tolerance level for adventure. And danger. He is so used to climbing on top of the tower with his siblings, enjoying the wind whipping his ears all over the place. He’s stood up there so many times it’s like nothing anymore. 

He should have remembered Max’s general nervousness about being high up in the water tower, and accounted for it. But the romantic thought of being alone together up here blinded him! Foolish foolish love.

“Don’t worry!” Yakko reaches behind and lets his arms snake all the way around Max, extending far beyond normal length. “I can carry you down, and we’ll never ever come up here again! Not ever in the rest of history! In fact, I’ll have this tower roof CONDEMNED.”

after the storm

Max, for one, does NOT need to be told twice. His arms are wrapped around Yakko’s back, and his legs practically latch onto him like vines. How his fear of heights hadn’t come up in conversation yet, he didn’t know, but now he feels like he’s clinging onto his boyfriend for dear life.

He might as well be. He’s not a funny toon like Yakko, who knows what could happen to him if he fell from this height!

“Y - Yakko?” He manages to squeak out, face pressed against the other boy’s back. “I - I’m – I wanna get down now. Can we - can we get down!?”
