A Flurry of Red Blades

I am Lord Barkos Vantra'agh of the Sith. Blademaster and a Dark Lord of the Sith, you would be a fool to cross blades with me. Born and raised on Korriban, I quickly showed my potential with the blade, favouring the double bladed saber. I have learnt the ways of the Marauder from the holocron of Darth Sion himself. [[ Hiatus ]]
[[ I know I haven’t been on here in a very, very long time, but I just thought I could have the decency to tell everyone that this blog is on a permanent hiatus. Oh, and the nostalgia almost killed me when I saw all of the old Freelancers I RPed with. But yeah, this blog is on permanent hiatus, but I’m leaving it up for anyone who wants to look back at it and the old posts. ]]

That removed one possible chance of redemption, and thus made this all the more easier. She would be an interesting apprentice to train. He quickly observed her physique, deeming her more worthy than most to receive training from him. He didn't care much for her statement on how long ago her master had died, as the flow of time had seemed to become convoluted recently. "Prove yourself by going to the Jedi Temple, and acquiring all the details and information of one Rein Li Vale. Once you have done so, bring it directly to me."

"You were taught to be a Jedi. Relinquish all ties to them." He chuckled slightly, pacing forwards and backwards, suddenly deep in thought. He had had his experience with failures of apprentices, and he didn't want to be wasting his knowledge and efforts on what could turn out to be a wild bantha chase. "Did you have a Master, or any others that may have taught you?"

OOC:
[[ Just had an idea for a storyline with Barkos, and thought I'd run it by you guys to see what you think. I was thinking that maybe Barkos could lose his connection with the Force (the reason why is yet to be thought of), and thus he has to turn to bounty hunting, due to his pretty decent skills in the art of murder, for the foreseeable future. Thoughts anyone? ]]

He swiftly brought a slash across to her torso, quickly bringing his knee up underneath her guard and smashing her in the stomach, bringing her to her knees. He then grabbed her by the scruff of her neck, lifting her so that her face was in line with the Sith Lord's. "You will do as I say, or suffer a fate worse than death." With that, he brought the saber to her throat, just far enough away from it so that she could feel the blade pulsating.
Landing Pad Encounter @sith-blademaster
Anna was kneeling near the end of the landing pad, working on a repair and refueling droid.  She was dressed for that type of work, technician’s pants, black boots and a muscle t-shirt with no sleeves.  Her hair was tied up in a bun, and her back was to the landing pad entrance…though her lightsaber hung clipped to her belt.  The only indication that she was a Jedi.

Noticing the small Jedi working on a droid at the end of the Landing Pad, Barkos chuckled and began to quicken his pace towards the pad. No matter what rank she was, she would be able to at least help him find Rein. "JEDI!" The Sith Lord bellowed, drawing his lightsaber and activating the crimson coloured blade. She would stand no chance against him if he wanted to defeat her. Maybe he should toy with her first, like a Aacklay and it's prey. That would definitely be fun. He quickened his pace to a run, adopting a hand stance of Makashi.

"I am a Zabrak, and as you carry no familiar symbols, I assumed you were from elsewhere." This one was arrogant, that much could be said. Her stance was defensive, but throughout the conversation he had picked up many faults that he could exploit. He was, after all, a Blademaster, and it was his duty to know and master every Form of lightsaber combat, be it orthodox or otherwise. He snorted as she declared her titles. "More than earned it, have you? You spout these claims, but what proof do you have? You could be but a raider come to search the tombs for artifacts for all I know, child." She may not claim to be a child, but he was far more her senior, in both age and ability.

Barkos chuckled as she whirled and ignited her saber, drawing a curious blade as she did so. "Dueling me would have been an immeasurably bad idea, child." This figure that stood before him was young, and rather powerful in the Force. She had much potential, but she couldn't harness it without higher teachings. "I am Lord Barkos Vantra'agh of the Sith, Chief Blademaster and Lord of Pain. Those titles most likely mean nothing to you, as you are blatantly from a different tribe of Sith." He stood, lightsaber in hand - it never hurt to be cautious, especially with other Sith and Dark Side adepts. Walking towards the newcomer, he chuckled again. "Now we come to the question of who you are, child."
Korriban Again: Vestara and Barkos
Vestara looked out at the Valley of the Lords.  A heaviness fell on her heart as she walked down Ship’s ramp.  The mediation sphere was oddly quiet and didn’t explain why they were there.  She pulled her lightsaber from her belt, just in case.  She remembered the strange creatures she, Ben, Jaina, and Luke had seen there.  Some clearly responded to Sith, but she had to be careful.  Everything she’d done was to save her own life, including betraying the boy she loved.
She walked slowly through the valley, wondering what she was looking for.  The new Sith Lord reached out to the Force.  Something living was close.  Ves stopped in her tracks and turned towards a sound, assuming that it was whatever was living, readying her blade, but not igniting it just yet.

Watching as the arriving ship landed and opened the ramp, he did nothing to stir from his meditations at the entrance of Ajunta Pall's tomb. Pall had been an old friend to Barkos whenever he could take the time to leave the Academy and go to the tomb. But ever since those... desecrators had looted it in search of his famed blade, he had disappeared into the channels of the Force. Barkos reached out in the Force to sense the newcomer, and immediately saw that she was definitely part of the Dark Side. He reached for a single claw handled blade - the black saber he had taken from the grasps of a Sith Lord's mummified corpse on Kragis. This confrontation would be interesting.

M!A: You are now a very angry gerbil.
"What in the name of..." With a flash of light, the Sith Lord transformed into a small, and incredibly angry, gerbil.

"Maybe we did. But we'll leave the unpleasantries for another time." With that, the Sith Lord walked briskly towards the docks, not looking back.

"I do not want anything from you, Jedi." He growled at the unfamiliar face. Barkos really couldn't be bothered with any sort of confrontation right now. He was concentrating on getting back to his ship.

“I thought I sensed a dark presence when I left the bar.” Tobias pulled off his hood when he saw the taller zabrak man behind him, his weapon close, and his tired gaze fixed upon the stranger.”Can I help you with something?”
