To all of you in UK that are panic buying/bulk buying.. before you do, stop and think.. people like myself who are disabled and bedbound have to get our shopping delivered. Imagine the frustration, anger and upset that we go through when we cannot get our basic shopping needs met because of people like yourselves. In 1 week I had to do my shopping in 2 halves, I normally shop every 2 weeks and it has to last for 2 weeks. I have ended up with no milk, no kitchen roll, 2 toilet rolls, no washing up liquid, no hand soap gel, a limit of 10 bottles of lemonade (those that know me know I drink just over 2 bottles a day because of my throat) I tried to order powdered milk but they replaced that with coffee whitener :/. I was limited to 5 cartons of apple juice, 4 750ml bottles of blackcurrant & orange squash and more. I had to get my youngest daughter to bring toilet roll and milk when she visited last week, this week my mum who is very poorly herself, has been round the supermarkets looking for these basic items for me and that shouldn't be happening in this town, this year, this century, this country! So please, just give us a thought.. give all the vulnerable, elderly, disabled, chronically Ill and even babies (yes even baby milk is disappearing fast) a thought.. and if you feel you really have to bulk buy.. grab a bag and put some in one and drop it off at your neighbour your community centre, your food bank.
