Haa 'gifted child syndrome' would like a word with you- it took me over a decade to learn that laying on the floor curled up in a ball crying & crying the entire time I was trying something new, because I couldn't get it down the first or second try perfectly, is what learning feels like.

For anyone else that's got that though- please know that those lil breakdowns while learning isn't something to avoid. It's something you need to push through, the feeling of finally having it click is worth a thousand of those. It's the best feeling int he world

Discussed painting backgrounds at work today and my coworker told me she loved drawing backgrounds and when i asked why she just said “because theres so much stuff in backgrounds and i love drawing so that means i get to draw a lot!” And thats just 🥺 thats just such a nice reason to draw backgrounds i feel like something changed within me.
