I changed the Lighting Brief work slightly, as I thought about the 2nd half of the level and wasn’t too happy with it. I changed it from a maze into a simple puzzle.

After the hallway, the player must navigate their way through a maze in the mansion’s basement. To help them find their way, a light will turn on in every room the player has entered.

After the player opens the secret entrance, they go down this hallway with an eerie flickering light at the end.

In the room, there will be many bookcases with hundreds of books on the shelves. However, one book, highlighted by a faint light, will be the one the player uses to open the secret entrance to the basement.

At the top of the stairs in the mansion, there will be lights to direct the player towards the left, where there will be a room with the door slightly ajar, letting the light out.

So, new uni project using lighting in UE4. The project is set inside a mansion with a hidden secret basement. This is a screenshot of the mansion’s main hall. At this point, the object that hides the entrance to the basement has not been added yet, hence the hole in the floor between the stairs.

After the player has made the second jump, then they encounter this hole in the floor, which they must jump down. Inside the building, the floors have collapsed and there is another hole in the side of the building, which the player must reach to progress

After the giant monster destroys the building the player must run and jump over a small gap in the floor. If they miss the jump then there are some small platforms along the side for the player to jump up.

Once the player has reached the top of the building, they have to jump across to another building. In mid-air, the monster/alien/robot will appear and destroy part of the building in front of the player.

So this is the start of another level I made in unreal engine 4. In the level, the player has to escape a giant monster/robot/alien that is rampaging through a city. At the start, the player must escape a burning building by going up the fire escape, but it unfortunately has suffered some damage, so the player must jump over some gaps in the stairs

I made this lil’ crab to serve as the enemy of the game. He has a few animations where he moves and one where he snaps his claws. He’s got some blueprints that means he disappears, when he gets hit by the player’s weapon.

This is the death/game over screen that appears when the player loses all their health. (RIP)
