I haven't watched the interview but I'm not even gonna entertain that idea. Erik told Mathias in season 2 that nothing would ever happen between him and Sara and I'm holding him to that.

I agree. We saw him change so much in season 2 and we know that was mostly attributed to Erik. I actually hate that they have now assassinated Erik's character and made him one of the guys. Felix is a child and the way everyone follows him is crazy to me. I actually don't want Mathias to reconcile with any of his old friends at this point because they haven't taken any accountability for their actions and treatment of him when this boy literally did nothing to them. But I do understand that he misses his friends and right now he's alone. Honestly Mathias just needs to find some new friends cuz his old friend group ain't it.

I wouldn't say zero because she was the one who befriended Mathias, she's aware he is struggling and she knows he has history/feelings for Erik. She is the one constantly inserting herself in Mathias life and meddling, so for her to then hook up with Erik is a little fucked up. There has to be some accountability.

Now do I think she did it to hurt Mathias? No. Do I think the thought that it might hurt Mathias crossed her mind? Probably not. I get annoyed with her being pushy and crossing people's boundaries, but I actually do like Olivia. I have a way bigger problem with Erik and his disgusting behavior than anything else. The bet thing is gross. His friendship with Felix is gross. And just his overall behavior this season has rubbed me the wrong way.

Okay so I just watched Episode 12...

The only good thing about this episode was not seeing Felix on my screen.

The girls teaming up at the school wasn't terrible. I guess I kinda enjoyed it.

The way I was not even remotely amused by Erik with the sausage.

I thought I would be angry with Olivia, but I'm actually not. She clearly likes Erik and I don't think Mathias even crossed her mind, so it doesn't feel like she back stabbed him even though she kinda did.

As for Erik... everything he said and did seemed like the biggest fuck you to Mathias. The flirting, the kissing, the eagerness to hook up and the hand holding afterwards. It just felt like a betrayal and it made me irrationally angry. Like the rational part of my brain knows Erik probably thinks Mathias doesn't have feelings for him, and so he's not thinking about how his actions will affect him. But I can't be rational right now because Mathias is alone without friends and when he finds out they're hooking up it's going to crush him.

Ugh I really didn't want Erik and Olivia to be a thing. Also, Erik smiling and texting the boys as soon as Olivia walked off was gross. Him sleeping with her to win a bet is disgusting. And the fact that Olivia doesn't know this is fucked up, especially because he seems to genuinely like her.

Oh I completely agree. Mathias has done and gone along with some seriously fucked up things. I think the reason we can forgive him so easily though is because he realized what he did was wrong, seemed genuinely remorseful and was clearly trying to be a better person. When it comes to Olivia and Erik I personally don't think they are irredeemable. In fact I actually like Olivia for the most part and Erik is still better than most of the kids on this island. With that being said I am not on board with him and Olivia sleeping together and will continue to say fuck them until they both make up with Mathias and not a second before. And yes Felix can go back to the hole he crawled out from. We don't want or need him to be redeemed.

Some of you don’t want to hear this but Mathias hasn’t always been uwu baby protect at all costs 🥹, in seasons 1 and 2 he actually did some heinous shit just like every other character in this show, because that’s the point. They’re teenagers and they’re imperfect and they fuck stuff up. I’m not really vibing with the collective forgetting of everything Mathias did to Sara in regards to outing her mental illness/breakdown and literal stint in a psych ward to the whole town, basically, out of spite and without her consent, and then never apologizing or taking accountability for that. The fact that she was able to forgive him for that without any sort of apology is kind of a miracle tbh. Anyway the fact that we now see Mathias in a different light and feel the need to *gently hold* is a testament to character development and seeing him as a whole person with his own serious issues that are worthy of attention, and I think some other characters deserve that same grace.

The point being that no matter how bad you think Erik and Olivia sleeping together is, that doesn’t mean that either of those characters are going to be completely irredeemable because of it.

tl;dr none of these characters are supposed to be fully “good” or “bad” they’re just human teenagers except Felix, he fully sucks and can go die in a hole

Literally the first thing that popped into my head when Mathias mentioned throwing a party soon. The writers said they wanted Mathias to suffer and they really meant it. I can't remember if they mentioned his birthday or not, but if Erik and Olivia hook up at Mathias' birthday party... I just- I already hate it here. Why are they doing this to him and when will he finally get to be happy? Also, fuck Olivia and fuck Erik.

Thoughts on episode 11...

Another Mathias centric episode! That's always a plus. But once again we have Felix being an absolute homophobic asshole so my joy is short lived.

Sorry, but the way Felix is so obviously pressed that the boys are talking with Mathias is just another reason I can't stand his ass. On the bright side Mathias' mistake didn't result in a lost limb, because the way the writers need to make him suffer I was fully expecting it. And Felix not ratting out Mathias was clearly more about protecting himself since the teacher made it clear they were meant to operate as a team, so that didn't win him any brownie points with me.

I liked that Mathias was happy reconnecting with the guys, but I'm not thrilled with the situation. These are the boys that ditched him just because Felix said so, and also because they seem more interested in the parties he throws than him. But maybe that was just their way of extending an olive branch, I couldnt really tell.

Either way they aren't standing up to Felix or putting him in his place. But at least Mathias was able to get them to think about their association with Felix's awful behavior and how it reflects on them.

The way I can't even enjoy this cuteness because of the context is infuriating... 1. because he sent it to Olivia and 2. because Erik is currently on my shit list. I'll revisit once he's back in good standing.

So the writers show us Felix being the target of a racist asshole using slurs towards him to accomplish what exactly? Because the only thing I took from that scene is that Felix knows exactly what it feels like to be on the receiving end of that kind of hate, but still chooses to be a homophobic piece of shit towards Mathias. The way he keeps throwing the F word at him for literally just existing is disgusting. And let's not forget this is someone that was his best friend for 15 years, who up until a few short months ago he claimed to actually love. If anything this makes Felix even more irredeemable to me.

I like Olivia, I do, but she needs to chill. She is way too pushy. And she tries to make others feel bad if they're not as open and outspoken as her. Not everyone can ignore being bullied and not let the hate affect their mental health. And Mathias shouldn't have to come out to his mom or anyone for any reason other than he's ready and wants to. Again, I can tell she means well, but she oversteps a lot and she has zero respect for peoples bounderies.
