I feel like the only good season skam france had was 3rd season and it was amazing, the actors, the chemistry, their own input in season.. But other seasons to me look so rushed and poorly done, and Imane(sana) season is nowhere near as good as it was in og. Don't get me wrong the actress is amazing, and i like her character but the story line is just bad and it doesn't match the characters.

honestly...i agree. it started off very good but got progressively worse and i feel like the plotlines are just extra drama being thown at us for no reason (manon and sofiane dating, imane and sofiane love/hate, the ch*rles thing)

I just really love Isak, Sana, and Eva. I also really love Noora and Even too. But those three characters are my top three. They just really grabbed my attention, I dunno.

sana was the reason i started watching skam & noora was what made me fall in love with it :))

I'm a Skam Og fan, who watched all four seasons. And by far my favourite season is either 3 or 4. Season 1 was super good though too! But, maybe I don't really like season 2, because of how William treated Noora. I am glad though to see her deal with the plot of sexual assault, that was more real and interesting. I wish season 2 respected Noora more. That's all.

Personally, I don't like Noorhelm bc it was rather toxic and William was manipulating and pressuring Noora to be with him. Like what the heck? Why would people root for a toxic relationship? It's... wrong. Noora deserves a better boyfriend who isn't manipulating her and doesn't make her feel small. I'm so glad I didn't have to see Noora deal with William in season 3 and partially season 4. But, honestly. Noorhelm is toxic and I stand by that.

well i respect your opinion, anon, i just wanted to address your points:

william did not pressure noora to be with him. he pressured her to go on a date with him (one that she had already agreed too as part of a deal) not that i condone that in any way, but there’s a difference. he left her alone after that, until she showed interest in him - coming to his party, lying to stay the night at his house, etc.

as for manipulating, hmm. i don’t think she was ever manipulated into anything. noora knows what she’s doing. she is extremely smart and self aware of how she feels, especially because of her guilt regarding vilde

about william: i don’t think he’s a faultless character at all, but i can try to understand him. he was insanely hurt, scared, and knew what niko was capable of. his gf was not denying that she had slept with his brother. his mind went to the worst place. at the same time, i think anyone would “feel small” if they had possibly been raped by their boyfriend’s brother and were dealing with that anxiety.

confession: skam nl is underrated af!!!!! i feel like it doesn’t get as much attention as spain or italy but it’s one of the best remakes by far! the aesthetic is on point, the soundtrack is sO good, a black noora??? yes pls! the actors aren’t cringy and can act so well! i hope more people will consider watching it :)

idk this might come out weird but i dont get the fuss about skamit's sana. i'm a muslim girl living in a muslim country & the dramas over here would cast a non-muslim to play a muslim role just so they could add in all the 'non'-muslim cliche things ie hugs,hand holding, pecks on cheeks. i think skamit sana is doing an okay job.. she is an actress and she's acting quite well..

agree with your last sentence but the rest didn’t make sense to me. the fact that an actual muslim played a muslim character was one of the reasons that sana’s character was so iconic and different - because for the first time, a muslim was portrayed never doing those things and being completely unapologetic about it…if that makes sense? maybe i’m not understanding correctly but why would a muslim country portray muslims doing things they wouldn’t (even shouldn’t) do actually lol

Unpopular opinion: i want more poc representation but seeing people saying that they will watch x spin off or will only care about x season because it has a poc character makes me feel like they dont give an f about the series. Im scared for possible future spin offs to countries with not big poc minorities and how it may lead to hate for those spin offs.

1. i’m sure (or at least i hope) that people won’t outright hate on remakes without poc representation, but they probably will call it out, just like they did with og skam (buuut also, i feel like representation won’t be a problem, most remakes are doing pretty well with it)3. do we know if are any other countries doing remakes? i might be wrong, but i think only the 6 that are already in progress were announced officially.

I adore Skam Italia (I truly believe it is the BEST remake) however, the casts ages really bother me. That's what made the original Skam standout because it it was made for teenagers and the actors were actually teenagers. The Skam Italia cast range in age from 22-25 and sometime it feels as if Italia should take place in a university and not in a high school.

While many will hate me for this i feel the beat spinoff sana is from skam italia. The actress may not be muslim or hijabi but she is so good at portaying sana giving such a cocky sassy vibe that no other than the og sana can give for me. I love her.

you’re right, she does give off similar vibes and i’d never thought of it like that. while i absolutely respect your opinion, i have to say judging a remake character based on how similar they are to the og is going to get you nothing but disappointment. 

i love that they made the other sana’s somewhat softer. it could be the differences in country and/or cuture, even changes in plot, but it also gives us multifaceted muslim characters in a time where media doesn’t portray us all too well. idk if i’m taking too much from it, but yeah :)

in my opinion (and you can disagree), people didn’t love sana especially for her unforgiving snark, but for how she was portrayed as a unforgiving muslim. i think it’s more important that islam is represented correctly and by someone who understands it, rather than a muslim character simply being sassy without any of the real depth.

i hate how the fandom sees isak as this 'uwu smol bean', and characterises him as weak and helpless in fics etc. everyone forgets that he's essentially a dudebro, and has a serious attitude.

kinda agree,, at least i don’t hype him up. he has his faults just like any character, i don’t pretend otherwise.
