BAZ: Enjoy

When I’m not in a foul mood, I like to enjoy the little things in my undead life: 

Snow fuming with jealousy when I steal Agatha.

Snow struggling to cast any of his spells.

Snow getting annoyed during class.

Snow stuttering because of me. 

Snow swallowing.

Snow sleeping.

Snow. 

Snow, the boy.

Snow, my enemy.

Snow, the one I love.

Snow, the one I can’t have.

Snow, who’ll eventually kill me.

Snow, blue eyed with bronze hair. 

Snow, who finds a way into every aspect of my life.

Snow, who smells like green fire and bacon and cinnamon buns.

Art for Beautiful Roaring Scream - Chapter 3

There’s a lot I love about this artwork, but I’m so happy with how Baz turned out! It looks intimate and he actually looks like he’s mid-sentence. My original plan was to do more circus poses, but nothing felt quite right. Baz slowly warming up to Simon felt like the most important thing about this chapter.

Simon’s hair has been quite a journey for me and it finally feels like something I understand. Crafting his curls through layers and layers of color has become quite an enjoyable process instead of something that I leave for last and do a slap dash job of. And I just want to take a moment to gush about how much I love the coloring around Simon’s right eye.

Simon spends a lot of time thinking about how dangerous Baz is … and it could be because Rainbow wanted to give the vampire thing some stakes (ha ha) but I just like to believe it’s because Simon is very, very, very into the fact Baz could rip Simon apart without even trying.

Here's a close depiction of how I imagined Baz in the Carry On novel:D I really loved imagining their uniforms and Watford itself, the world seemed so colorful and lively!

Although he's supposed to look pale in my depiction, I accidentally used the wrong marker huhu

WIP Simon & Baz, ~2-3 hours in. Finished the blocking and (maybe) finished with the lineart (?) Satisfied with my color palette so far! And I like the messiness of the lines, been trying to be less particular about them.

Finally giving crochet Penny a ring. Is there anything in the trilogy that says which hand Penny casts with?

Simon being upset that Baz isn't there to make his life miserable will never not be funny to me.
