G3 Signature Dolls collection update!! <3

Only missing Jinafire, Cupid and Nefera rn ^^

Been on a bit of a G3 kick for the past few days, so here's some headcanons to go with it.

This is me projecting onto her a little, but Draculaura had a bit of a train phase throughout her fourteen and fifteen hundreds. She knew basically nothing about humans, but it was interesting to see how they got around without powers or witchcraft.

Lagoona floats up to the top of her tank when she sleeps. If it wasn't for how much she thrashes around from her dreams, you'd think she was dead.

Barkimedes and Cleo, with a little help from Clawdeen and Buddy, have been holding classes to more accurately teach monsters about humankind. Despite a few inaccuracies (Clawdeen had to debunk the idea that humans can transform if you splash them with cold water), it's been a big hit!

As a boogeymonster, Twyla's eyes are exceptionally sensitive to sunlight (Regular sunglasses do absolutely nothing for her), so you'll rarely see her out and about during the day. Draculaura has been trying to make some magic contacts to absorb sunlight for her.

Speaking of magic, Draculaura has also been working on creating necklaces that can temporarily disguise monsters as humans. Barkimedes had been talking about having a fieldtrip to the human world, but outside of Halloween, all of those monsters would stick out, wouldn't they?

Watzie has a habit of bringing Frankie body parts, though they have no clue where he's getting them or why. Given that they're all copper and brass plated, they're clearly all from the same person, but strangely, nobody has come forward asking for their missing parts.

G3 has a decent assortment of returning characters, but there are still plenty more that have yet to make some kind of appearance, so I thought it might be fun to give my own spin on a few of them.

These are more quick character introductions than they are fully fleshed out lore dumps, but together they ended up being a little long, so there's only four for now.

Alivia Stein - Given that Frankie Patrol ends with Frankie's parent's being like 'Aww, let's have another one,' it only made sense to start this off by having them follow through with it. Let me introduce you all to Alivia Stein, one of the newest students at Monster Middle School!

Alivia is an excitable, if somewhat scatterbrained, frankenmonster. She can be overly blunt sometimes and come off as rude, but she usually realizes when she offends someone and tries to smooth it over. Usually.

She shares Frankie's enthusiasm for being alive, and thanks to Bunny, she's been snapping photos of every new experience. Unfortunately, she can get a little too into the one and ends up shorting out her cameras.

Fangelica VanBat - A lot has changed for Fangelica in the last few months - A new home, a new school, her mom remarried, and she has a new sister in Draculaura - but she's taking it in stride as best as she can. Fangelica means well, but she can sometimes be stubborn, impatient, and impulsive. This, combined with her friendship with Hisstina, can often get her into trouble.

She and Draculaura got off to a somewhat awkward start. Drac was trying a little too hard to get Fangelica to like her and Fangelica didn't understand what 'Don't Touch' meant. They've been getting along a lot better, but there are still some hiccups. Fangelica just can't keep her claws off of Draculaura's spell books.

Robecca Steam - Robecca is in a bit of a weird situation. Watzie found her parts scattered across the catacombs or buried around the school, and brought them to Frankie so that they could do something with them. Needless to say, Robecca was more than a little shocked to find out what had happened to her, and what year it was.

Robecca may look old fashioned, but she's trying to move forward in life. If she doesn't understand how something works, she'll often spend as long as she can dismantling it to see how it works. Unfortunately, this usually leads to her being late for class. Her friends try to keep her on track, but when the tunnel vision sets in, it's nearly impossible to shake Robecca from it.

Casta Fierce - Casta Fierce may not be a household name in the monster world, but she's a sensation among the humans. A witch who seemingly vanished when word of her powers slipped, she used her magic to make a name for herself among the humans. Of course, as far as they know, her magic is just some off the walls special effects.

She does keep up with monster news, and after hearing rumors that Monster High is allowing witchcraft, she often wonders if it might be time to revisit her old stomping grounds.

finally arrived at the (very obvious) conclusion I've been shadowbanned on Tumblr for most of this blog's existence and I'm just now choosing to do anything about it (contact suppport) I feel like the "messages tab not appearing" "don't get notified when tagged on other people's posts" "can't see my posts when searching through tags" "search function not workin within my own blog" should've been red flags ngl...

no this is even better because iirc in "Witch Hitch", the suuuuuper early episode where Drac almost gets exposed by Toralei, it's HEATH who ends up saying this:

he's the one speaking up against Toralei and saying she's lying, plus gets everyone else to leave and not inquire further.

And in "The Great Bat Detective", where Draculaura is recounting to Deuce about how everyone found about that she's a witch during season 1, she just says "Heath figured it out on his own"

Heath has always known, but Draculaura didn't KNOW that he knew, she didn't tell him to keep the secret or anything. He just heard Toralei trying to expose her, probably thought "oh shit I was right" and proceeded to keep his cool and act dumb to get everyone off her back.

I would officially like to add Meowlody and Purrsephone to the list of "characters who were fucked over by Mattel and their core release made a store exclusiv,e so they never got a music video or any real publicity, and also are incredibly expensive to get, particularly outside of the US" list of characters alongside Toralei, Deuce and Ghoulia.

Saying this as a person who currently has every single core doll except Jinafire and the twins, and holy fuck the cheapest price I can get them at is like. over 140$. That's double their retail.
