Hello so i come over here again to ask u if u are planning to still update iced americano or of it has an update schedule?

Becus its the only fic u have thats unfinished but not actively updating if ykwim? Like renegade updates once a month but iced americano is just kinda... there?

I dont mean to rush an update i just love dark yuta very much he's like my everything and ur portrayal of him is just amazing🙏🙏🙏

i've been enjoying just taking my time with that one, especially because I'm still playing with the ending a bit. I'm so glad to hear you're enjoying it!!! The whole Yuuta "hunting" down Toge, cat-and-mouse thing they have going on has been such a fun dynamic to play with and I just want to make sure I keep the excitement going till the very last second if i can 😈

in the meantime ive made myself busy with lots of other wips so hopefully all kinds of big updates soon 👀 i haven't forgotten iced americano!! unhinged yuuta, my beloved 💍✨

Hey so... i gotta know. Renegade is definitely based off the taylor swift song, right? RIGHT?? if so, pls share with the class how the song ties into the fanfic pls im dying to know🙏🙏🙏

Omg!! Yes, the title is definitely for the taylor swift/big red machine song 😎

i guess i wouldn't say the fic was *inspired* by the song, but the song is on heavy rotation on the playlist i write to... so many lyrics in there remind me of them. "Is it insensitive for me to say get your shit together/So I can love you?" ... yeah it's literally them 🤣 once i started associating them with this song i couldn't stop.

the scene where Toge first spends the night in Yuuta's room in chapter nine is especially renegade... "I tapped on your window on your darkest night/The shape of you was jagged and weak/There was nowhere for me to stay/But I stayed anyway."

So yes, definitely a swiftie moment! I think what really sealed the deal for that song as the title was that in a really obvious way, it references Yuuta and his issues... but as the fic progresses, I think it could be the other way around. Toge has some shit to figure out as well 😅

hi! i reread renegade when s2 dropped and i just wanted to pop in and say i LOVED it, especially with the reveal of toge’s backstory.

i was wondering if you would be okay with me taking the idea of utahime raising toge and using it in a fic of my own. it’s just that bit, since we haven’t gotten much else about his backstory in renegade, and i think the idea is so neat and the relationships it opens up for him are super compelling. i’d give you credit for the idea, too, and i thought i’d ask you.

and they're also newly housemates.

also yuta: creates the most morbid, despairing paintings known to man

yuta's peers like to joke about him having demons in his head bc of the type of art he puts out. and yuta is jst like haha ure so funny! while sweating bc there are indeed demons in his head (rika)

that is also why toge is yuta's 5th housemate in 3 months. lets hear what his previous housemates have to say abt him:

Hai! I just want to ask something I've wanted to for a while now:

How far are we into the Renegade storyline? The middle? One fourth? Are we barely scratching the surface of the slowburn you've planned?

It's just that it's the only fic you've written by far that doesn't have a decisive chapter count. May I also ask why that is?

Keep writing and carrying inuokko fandom on ur back! I honestly don't know what I'd do without you!

Ah, these are great questions!!

So I sort of think of Renegade as having two acts, and right now we're still in the middle of act one. The reason I don't have a chapter count is that I haven't gotten serious about act two yet! With most of my fics, I write the whole thing before I start posting (so i know exactly how long it will be), but in this case, I wrote all of act one and couldn't stand the idea of waiting any longer to post. I can tell you that this part has 12 chapters, though!! Sitting at about 85k currently.

Chapter 12 will end with a... ✨Season Finale✨ of sorts, and then I'll take a bit of a break while I work on the next part. So yes, the slow burn is slow burning!!!

Thanks so much for reading and enjoying!!! 😭 I'm truly thrilled people like this fic. There's not much else like it that I've seen, so I didn't really know how it would go over. It charges my soul every time I see someone posting about it on twitter or begging for an update in my comments. Just typing this all out has me jazzed about working on the next part!!!

this rendition of MC inuokko is everything I ever could have wanted and more... *literally.* Mugi took inspo from my original mood boards for the fic and brought them to life in ways I never could have imagined. When my mind wanders to what these two would be doing post-fic, this is what I'll think of from now on: them reading together and cuddled up and with matching tattoos and wearing the MOST INCREDIBLE 'fits of all time 😭

og renegade had no real endgame, only vibes... so this was only about 10k into the first draft LOL. we're 50k into the actual fic now and we're just barely at this point 😅

also i think it goes without saying, but yuuta goes on to immediately ruin this moment 💀

anyway im not sure when the next chapter will be up (might update iced americano first if im feeling frisky), so hopefully this helps ease the wait? thank you for the ask, i am quite well and always a cheerleader of unhinged correspondence!! 😤
