You know what’s a fun thing to think about? What type of demon would Riddler be? 👀

pondered this nugget and then some, have Eddie AND Jon

I interpret Riddler as a standard Prince of Hell, appearing as an amalgamation of several animals (face of a lion, body of a monkey, patterns of a cat, horns of a goat, and wings of a peacock), representing the sin of pride AND the gift of knowledge. Higher demons, imo, should also preside over a "gift" to make their sin more alluring, and I feel like Pride pairs well with Knowledge because for Eddie, having the most information makes him the most important person, making him VERY prideful. I think he'd be known as the Sphinx Demon, Riddle Demon, and Knowledge Demon. His whole thing is using his staff to bless you with knowledge, but also take something from you (usually ripping your soul violently from your chest).

Jon I interpret as a less "sophisticated" demon, being much more monstrous and violent. VERY inspired by his appearance when he was the Scarebeast, he feeds off people's fear. He's the kind of demon that terrorizes individual people. Eddie's the kind of demon feeding off of an entire population's desire for knowledge, status, etc.

Jonathan would be the kind of demon MORE people know about compared to Eddie bc he'd torment people more Directly, so he would end up as a bunch of myths and cryptids, he'd 100% end up as some Appalachian folktale about a living tree that steals kids that don't listen to their parents or something

I think this is a fact Enigmateus would Deeply Resent because he's just Not Very Scary Looking compared to Metustromus, being a big ginger catmonkey with pretty purple stripes
