Not that this is a surprise - the universitarian life is based in stress, suffering, despair, loss of hope in humanity, rooted hatred, and great doses of coffee. Tests period is coming, everyone is going crazy. On top of that, just like you, Jungkook is broke and has to work in the meantime.

He’s just being dramatic when he says he’s about to give up school and live of selling ugly handicrafts on the streets, but he’s still your best friend and one of the best friend’s duties is to lift up the other’s mood by making them forget about their problems. You should play Overwatch with him or Mario Kart? Going on a Netflix session to watch that new series everyone’s talking about? Bring him takeout, maybe? Simply sit down and listen to what’s stressing him?

k i m  s e o k j i n ⇀ There were many things you’d rather not encounter, and one was a very furious Kim Seokjin.

Your heart stopped in your chest when the yell from afar stabbed it’s way into your person, and you tried to keep walking, you tried to ignore the group of immature teenagers and continue on with your life; but the hand that suddenly death gripped yours wasn’t going to let you..not for a long shot.

“Apologize to her,” Seokjin spat, grabbing one of the teens by the collar of his shirt and you could only feel yourself growing small as passerby became attracted by the commotion, “now.”

“Why?” The boy challenged, trying to unravel the pinket’s fingers, “it’s not my fault she’s eyecandy—“

“Apologize,” Seokjin’s voice lowered, “or I’ll make you apologize.”

m i n  y o o n g i ⇀ It was as if the demon’s summoned him amidst the very busy street, and his footsteps came to a stop, because, was his hearing betraying him?

His vision trails down to your own, eyes deadshot and ashamed as you softly pull on his hand in a silent plea to just go, but he stays planted in his place. “Did they really just tell you that?” He says softly, deathly glare looking over his shoulder to the wannabe whoknowswhat standing across the street as they try to get your attention, “do they not see me here?”

He’s about to go and tell them off, probably spit in their faces if he could — but this time, you hug his arm tightly as you try to lead him away from the obnoxious men. “No, Yoongi, it’s not worth it,” you plea, “please.”

His eyes soften as he pulls you closer to him, and once he kisses your forehead..he hesitantly walks away.

j u n g  h o s e o k ⇀ “Stop it, Hoseok.” You growl, face drowning in a furious blush from how your boyfriend sneered at the group of drunk men sitting in the far corner of the restaurant, “it already happened, just let it go.”

“No.” He plainly says, taking a sip of his drink to try and calm his nerves. He was salty as hell, watching the barely twenty one year old college students causing havoc between your anniversary dinner, and how one of them tried to steal his woman with disgusting words; he was absolutely livid. “They need to know how to respect–“

“Just leave them be,” softly kicking his leg to fully get his attention, you emphasize: “they’re drunk.”

“Well, they’ll soon be dead.” He snorts, and you can’t help but laugh.

k i m  n a m j o o n ⇀ “He’s following us,” you whisper harshly into his ear, and Namjoon can’t help but inwardly groan. He absolutely hated conflict, and the second he heard someone whistling your way as if you were some kind of dog, he knew the gods were cackling from the fate he had been destined to meet with — and he just all over despised it.

Namjoon immediately sits you on a bench by a nearby park, and as you try to protest and question the man on what in the hell he was thinking, he simply looks into your eyes and grins, “keeping you from harm’s way.”

“Hey man,” the creepy guy greets, smile plastered onto his features, “your girlfriend is beautiful.”

“Thanks,” Namjoon cracks a smile, and as the man waits for you to reply or garner some kind of communication with him, Namjoon blatantly laughs, “you may leave now.”

p a r k  j i m i n ⇀ He stares at you from across the table, eyes narrowing at the voice screeching to you from afar as you look to your lap uncomfortably. Jimin doesn’t like the idea of anyone trying to get your attention but himself, especially doing it in front of him; and he really wants to do something to stop it, but..he can’t.

Because he was too damn shy.

“What are they doing?” He whispers as he inches closer to you, watching the way your eyelashes curls over your saddened eyes as you refuse to look at him, “would you like to go home?”

Softly shaking your head at the idea, he immediately packs the lunch and shoves them inside a takeout bag; soon intertwining your fingers with his as he pulls you closer to him with a smile.

“I may not be able to confront them,” he admits as he kisses the back of your hand as you both walk, “but I’ll always protect you.”

k i m  t a e h y u n g ⇀ “I need you to come with me,” your voice echoes in his ears as he tries to comprehend why you looked so terrified at the idea of walking alone to the store, but he didn’t question it; only giving you a soft kiss and promising to attend with you.

But boy, was he grateful that he actually came.

Pushing you roughly behind him as if he were keeping something very precious to him safe from a starving predator, his eyes droop into darkness as he slowly looks into the eyes of the man whom dared say absurd things to you from across the street. “You mustn’t speak like that, especially to a lady,” he snarls like some rabid dog, “fucking apologize-“

You rip him away from the grinning premonition, pushing him into the grocery store and away from curious eyes. “I told you to come with me,” you explain as he pouts, previous anger dissipating into the sky, “not kill for me.”

j e o n  j u n g k o o k ⇀ “Hey!” Jungkook yells, deathly gripping your hand as he stops in his steps to glare a promise of death into the teenager’s soul whom stood frozen from across the street, “mind saying that again, you little shi-“

“Jungkook!” You seethe, pulling his arm roughly to get his attention to which he pouts, and definitely not cutely, “quit acting this way, be the bigger person and ignore them!”

He frowns softly, yet childishly, and his stare stays glued onto the poor kid who stands with his shoulders slumped. If there was one thing Jungkook absolutely loathed, it was crusty brats who behaved like they were Mr. Stealyogurl swagger of the century — and there was no way in hell he’d let someone eye up his woman just cause they can.

And, as you both lose the boy in busy crowds, Jungkook sighs as he becomes uncertain. “Would you ever leave me for someone like that?”

You smack his chest.
