I'll never get over how fun The Patch were in Shaman King. I dunno what it is about an organization with a loose uniform and themed names in a shounen manga that just hits the right spot. I always loved how Silva was an obvious play into the native american aesthetic, but then Goldva is clearly just a goofy spin on Silva and not the start of a real theme.... and then somewhere past that point Takei just fully committed to the base elements concept and never looked back.

Unbreakable Bond

"Look around you look beyond--" Whenever I even think about Shaman King I can't get the English opening out of my head! ;_; Lots of nostalgia for this show and to be honest I'm afraid of rewatching it in case it's not as good now to me! Yoh was a really fun character, so if I was going to draw anyone, it would be my favorite, Yoh!

[Epilogue] My full piece for Ragoh's Path fanzine! Named after the chapter titles centered on each of the Legendary Warriors in the Shaman King manga. These two become the two strongest members of the group, tying into the idea of what goes around comes around and how each of them grappled with their pasts (and futures).
