Does Phyx ever find his bhaalspawn form useful? Like transforming on purpose to reach the top shelf or help the party climb a cliffside?

Sadly he can't control when it triggers, nor is he fully himself! I've been crafting ideas on how this works in a tabletop campaign (and have blood themed dice now!) that I can roll at the dm's will to see if he enters a dark urge state. Which CAN be useful if there's enemies, but sometimes it springs up at very unfortunate times.

He has yet to turn all the way yet however, in the canon we've written so far he gets closer to the Slayer form the more other Bhaalspawn he kills. Each Bhaalspawn carries essence of bhaal in them, so he absorbs a little more of it each time. He's only killed one so far so he has his spikes/claws/fangs when he gets particularly durge-y.

What are the earrings for on your dragon OC? I know you said they grow with him and the collar can’t be removed but do the earrings also just control him? And doesn’t the other guy there also have earrings like that? Do the dragon colors determine their powers? Please I just need to know all of your world building it looks so cool 😭

We've been playing around with the Avari story a bit! The way the magic system works influences certain rocks/gems found in jewelry, and high levels of a certain type will cause them to glow different colours ✨ they have no connection with the collar, that's a whole separate dark magic thing he's got going on

So! Not really important lore, but just a fun aesthetic detail! (Not limited to dragons either, any magic user can have pretty accessories)

Found your art through trigun and im obsessed- love your bg 3 art!! i would love to know ur thoughts on bat monster astarion?? Ive seen a few fans make headcanons about astarion having a bat monster form and i think that concept is right up your alley :DD

His name is Phyx! My weird little drow 🫶

He’s not a fan of it, definitely scared of himself. Whoever he was before was a distorted, corrupted version of himself that gave into the Urge, something he gets a second chance with now. At heart he’s really soft and caring, with a love for animals (he’s a ranger and has a massive spider familiar). He grew up outside of Menzobarranzan, and doesn’t know too much about drow culture. His Urge didn’t really manifest until his early teens (which is a whole story Ellie and I came up with that’s too long to put here lmao) but yeah.

In short, he’s a sad babe who only wants to be gentle and pet every dog, cat, owlbear, spider and everything in between.
