clad in a flamboyance unbeknownst to mankind before him, aoyama is a...peculiar type of person ( and what a kind description that was! he’s gotten under your skin, hasn’t he? since when were you this benevolent? ), one neito would rather not associate with beyond derisive exchanges, but he’s as determined as he is exuberant, and avoiding him is a difficult task.

the aftershock of his kiss remains in the warmth of his skin and the brief stutter of his heart ( of surprise, naturally; he berates himself for being caught off-guard ), but he waves the incident off with a scowl. the least aoyama could do after such a thing was stay and face the consequences, and neito is only mournful for his escape for it gave him no chance of retribution. but perhaps this was for the best; he’d rather not think about this incident again.

                  ‘ oi. ’ a glare, hooded eyes fixed on the intruder who he vaguely recognizes as someone from the heroics department. ‘ stop making so much noise, some of us are trying to work, ’ &. even if said work is trying to get some much needed sleep, head resting against his forearm, the library is a place for silence.

‘ you’ve got plenty work done already, i see, ’   he’s not the only one trying to “work”, really; neito hadn’t been aware of the noise he was making ( too immersed in his exam’s failure to notice --- or perhaps this guy was the whiny type ), but his lips are made for snarls and mockery, not apologies, and so he gathers his materials and ( because he’s petty ) sits in front of the guy and smiles brightly, letting the books drop on the table with a loud thud.   ‘ surely you won’t mind some company. we'll be more productive in a team, i believe. ’

sometimes i cry because neito isn’t actually a bad kid and his intentions aren’t malicious (on the contrary! all he wants to do is help his classmates get the recognition they deserve since he finds the way everyone loves the class a kids and completely forget about him and his friends really unfair, though his methods are wrong) but because of bakugou he thinks all the class a students look down on them (and are causing trouble for the school, which he’s voiced his concern of and look what’s being happening, what with all these villain attacks) and so he he acts the way he does towards them.

horikoshi’s been drawing his grudge against class a super over the top lately to signify he’s not a threat, just a kid who talks big, but really, he’s not bad.

       ❝sure, it was a bad call, but hagakure-chan wanted to be on top and i really didn’t.❞ deadpan serious, unwilling to let this bitter classmate get to her. it would’ve been nice to win, sure, but she wasn’t too beat up over the fact that they didn’t make it to the final round of the festival. the first leg was actually rather easy for her, but she’d rather not have to fight bakugou one on one.  ❝anyways, i’d rather be a loser than some asshole who can’t let shit go. honestly, you think bringin’ that up is gonna upset me or something?❞

‘ is that truly the attitude a future hero should have? ’   she’s nonchalant to his provoking and breaking through her composure it is a challenge in and out of itself, but neito is little else but heart-driven, however poisoned his heart may be, and he breathes a husky laugh, fingers by his lips as if to hide his grin.  ‘ you know, there’s a certain responsibility that comes with being in the heroics department. many dream to be in your place and didn’t make it, but you did and yet you aren’t trying your best... that’s something upsetting, indeed. A waste, even. Don’t you feel ashamed? ’

as much as he did not want to admit it, the other was mostly right, shouto was born as – unfortunately – the number 2 hero so there were a lot of influences from his father when it came to being privileged in some way. todoroki sometimes wondered if his life would be different if he wasn’t the one with both ice and fire power, would he be happier? sadder? he would never know.

      irritation is the only thing he is capable of feeling at the moment, turning to narrow his eyes at the intruding blond in a clear show of disdain. ‘ just how entitled to sticking up your nose into other people’s lifes are you ? ’ he can feel his muscles tensing, jaw clenching at the mere mention of his father. ‘ go away. ’ his voice is icy, trying to hold in his anger— this guy’s meddling is not worth getting in trouble over.

‘ i’m sorry, does the truth offend you? ’ oh, often little else is more breathtaking than the pearls of hatred in the eyes of someone who looks down upon you !  his pride a shard of glass clutched between bloodied palms ( PUNISHMENT FOR A BOY SO DIGNIFIED ), he finds LIFE in the fall of the mighty ( and how beautiful it is, the way his words affect todoroki --- it sends a thrill down his spine and a craving for MORE! MORE! MORE! ).   ‘ do forgive my curiousness, then. it’s always fascinating to hear about people who haven’t worked for what they have. ’
