@frostbitcs: “yeah — i know.” and she’s not offended because it’s not like she’s trying to hide it. truly, she doesn’t have the energy anymore. she can hardly manage to keep her glass in her hand, bring it to her lips. sip. she doesn’t remember when the liquor stopped tasting like fire and started tasting like home but — that’s fine. it’s easier to swallow than the lump in her throat. easier still with naomi there. despite their differences, she’s — someone who gets it. gets her. and tonight it feels like there’s very few people left who really do. so that kiss is welcomed, more than welcomed, and she glances up at her, the fire to her ice, thick lashes fluttering. “you don’t know how happy i am to hear that.” this is good. better. despite the liquor coursing through her veins she feels steadied for the first time tonight. “sorry — for coming over here out of the blue. i just… wanted to find you.” 

naomi doesn’t ask. if krys wanted to tell her then... she would. she knew that. so for now she stayed silent. the mutant just wanted to help with whatever was going on with her friend and if all the other wanted was for her to be there and stay cuddled in the chair together than she’d do it. “ you’re strong , though. “ maybe it was the alcohol talking , for sure. 

“ i’m glad you did , “ naomi said firmly as she absentmindedly played with the wavy golden locks. she enjoyed krys quite a lot. was it possible to care about someone so much ? someone they hadn’t known for a very long time , either ? time was irrelevant. naomi has known people for years and felt much closer to krys.

she hadn’t seen or heard from krys since the party. didn’t know if she liked her present. didn’t know if she even opened it. didn’t know if she was forgiven. and dani never handled uncertainty well -- especially not when the uncertainty was about whether or not someone still loved her. 

dani was so lost in thought that her feet had brought her to the danvers-drew apartment without her notice. well, too late to turn back now? the pounding of her heart accelerated, and she reached out a finger to push the doorbell before she could chicken out. “krys? it’s me - uh, it’s dani. can we talk?” the tremble in her voice betrayed all the fear and apprehension she had about this meeting, but she stood her ground.

he had been noticing the feeling of getting observed by the other for quite a while. working on some theory was not really his forte but despite everything, katsuki had it easy with understanding them— unlike shouto, who seemed to have difficulties with it. no that katsuki cared, though.

              in his isolated classroom, oliver didn’t expect anyone else to come by, but as soon as those harsh words echoed around, the bow in his hand was set down on the table and before his mind connected with the familiar voice, his words fell. turning to see &. confirm the source, the archer’s face fell off any spite and was replaced with concern, “ --------- krys ? ” more than anything, it was the confusion he held; quickly thinking back and coming to the conclusion of not remembering to screw up with anything as of late. 

                                                   what did he do ?  

               “ is everything okay ? ” his words cautious and the steps he took towards her even more so.
