i think skirby somehow managed to either figure out how to manifest gem apples out of sheer force of will (the password system) or outright reverse-engineered counterfeit gem apples (whichever one i think is funnier at the current point of time) within weeks of magolor introducing the currency system to pop star, which got magolor pissed off so he tries to get as many gem apples from skirby as possible, magolor is the moneybags to skirby's spyro and he constantly shows up to wrestle gem apples out of him to the point of locking doors and shit that he only opens if skirby pays up

Oh that's gonna be a long explanation lmao

That last pic was based on itsquakey's (chickenhoops) newgen au, which if you haven't heard was basically just about how the Kirby chars aged up in the future. Personally, I headcanon that Skirby, in the future, one way or another grows horns, to resemble Galacta Knight, with a hint of Void Termina tossed in.

I'm a sucker for the idea that Shadow Kirby becomes Meta Knight/DMK's successor, considering Shadow Kirby seems to be more combat-oriented than Kirby. (I mean his idea for a "prank" was ambushing people with one of the hardest fights in the franchise for crying outloud), but people usually just stop at him being the next Meta Knight. We have to go farther than that, this brat literally has all the powers of Kirby. What he's capable of is absolutely Galacta Knight-level.

The way he grows his horns can vary. Some people don't like the idea that Kirby grows horns and wings, which I get, so for those kinds of situations I just present the theory with the flair that the horns are just crystalized interdimensional energy, a consequence of his exploits within other realms.

i like to think that one of his most elaborate pranks involves descending upon dream land with the cupid ability, and then using his own friend heart-created arrows to spread utter mayhem "love" every valentine's day
