matching .. a dreamsmp drabble i made way back! ^_^

♡ ... + it was a sunny afternoon on the dream smp. tommy had to run a small errand for niki — he had to deliver a gift basket to ranboo and tubbo’s place in snowchester. the snow crunched as tommy skipped along in the ice frosted town.

  he knocked on the door, impatiently waiting for someone to answer the door. he lightly tapped his foot as he waited.

the door cracked open and there stood ranboo and tubbo, along with an energetic michael.

  “UNCLE TOMMY!” the small piglin said, raising his hands in the air excitedly. “it’s great to see you, tommy. what’s that you got there?” ranboo asked as he let tommy walk through the door.

  “niki had me deliver you guys a gift basket, has baked cookies for you three and I made another bouquet for michael to learn overworld plants again.” the blonde teenager said, setting it down on the nearest tabletop.    something about tommy caught tubbo’s eye, though. “what’s up with your teeth, tommy?”

    “oh - that. that’s a new thing, i have small tusks now. i went to niki about that and she said i should talk to puf-“

michael loudly gasped when he saw tommy’s newly grown tusks. he tugged on the sleeve of tommy’s coat, gesturing him to lower down to michael’s eye level. “what’s up, little man?”

  “teeth! you’re like me!” the tiny child exclaimed, bouncing up and down. that comment landed harder than it should’ve.

    ever since tommy learned of his new tusks, he grew conscious of them and felt a bit insecure — and besides the pain was absolutely unbearable. but the fact that michael made such a sweet comment made those insecurities and worries go away.

  “guess we are matching, huh?”

phil is alive, though he keeps in hiding and communicates with the world via crows. he's still on his only canon life, and came close to dying in the explosion so he's gone off to heal, aka another hardcore world but this time he's more distant when it comes to checking up on the dream smp [ or what's left of it ]

dream is basically like, he was stuck in the prison when the explosion happened, so he was protected from it when it happened. sam was not. when he escaped, he kind of just left to start a new world, and maybe look for old friends [ he eventually gave up on that after so much time passed ]. after a bit he decides to server hop, and no longer wears his mask.

fundy has been moving on with life. he left the server a while ago, started his own city that was later abandoned, though it only ever came to that a few years later. it may or may not have started in niki's underground city, where he just used the things she left behind to survive until he decided he wanted to do more than just "survive". he didn't find the incentive or inspiration to start it there, however

sapnap travels, and sometimes he doesn't. sometimes he sees a man in a purple and green hoodie traveling around in some of the places he finds. they talk, but the man doesn't ever seem to recognize him every time they meet again. sapnap finds a familiarity with him, and grief.

benson and william are friends, cared for by fundy. at some point, ranboo found fundy trying to expand niki's underground city and using the ruins of kinoko as a base. benson remembered ranboo, ranboo didn't remember benson however, but he cares for him like his son anyway. though, sometimes benson will speak of hearing voices — how strange! mizu worked as both a place for fundy to find himself, find a solid role for himself, and a place where ranboo could study about the dream smp. fundy would try to help here and there, but he left way before the explosion

william is a friend, with an odd interest and perseverance on starting the city when fundy gave up. upon ranboo's arrival, ranboo shared mizu's blueprints with fundy and the four started working again to build it, though instead made a railway from kinoko to the nearest ocean because they didn't wanna terraform a place of history

tommy stays with phil, mostly grown up now but growing very slowly. he misses everyone, like tubbo and ranboo and stuff, but he's staying with phil until he finds out where he wants to go. eventually, that leads to him deciding that he wants to go back to hopping around servers, and he eventually meets dream again

neither recognize the other. there's a mutual recognition, and at first, a mutual loathing, but they grow to be acquainted and will truce when it comes to participating in hypixel games. when they learn who the other is, well it's definitely a huge mix of harm to their friendship

eventually, news of mizu is advertised and a few people come to help out with building it. sapnap joins, and so does a mystery man named watson. at some point, tommy becomes a regular visitor. sometimes he'll try to get ranboo to remember him, but it doesn't work well. benson has told him many times it won't.

the city starts to get up on its legs. construction of extensions to the glass dome starts and a few more people start coming in to help out. william brings raichu, who he meets and befriends from a series of build battles and hypixel minigames
