So the other day I had a flash of inspiration, wouldn't it be cool to see the characters from the sucker for love series as power rangers

With Rhok'zan posing in the center of the trio as the lead ranger, Ln'eta as the pink ranger ,and Estir as the yellow ranger posed on either side. As Nyanlathotep posing as Rita Repulsa looming above them all. While starshine whales on the guitar in the background, either as her herself or maybe drawn with a more robot look, to be alpha 5. Now the other thing that popped into my head at about the same time, what if instead of the mighty morphing power rangers, I went with something that would probably more suit the ladies. What about sailor moon?

For this idea Ln'eta would be front and center as the sailor moon fill in, and then the other ladies would fill out the rest of the cast. The problem is I'm not sure what people would be more interested in seeing as a finished piece? So let's put it up to a vote

So cast your vote and let me know which idea I should flesh out, whichever one has more votes on it will be the piece I work on going forward, and I'll post progress pics as I'm working on it. And if you guys have better ideas for name puns then the ones I come up be sure to let me know

So for a while now I've wanted to try designing a tarot deck. I think it makes a great prompt for something to draw, and you also have to think about how what your drawing connects to what you're trying to represent. And as for my theme I want to use cryptids and monsters. Stories of these creatures run the spectrum from weird and spooky to the down right terrifying, which I think can compliment the nature of tarot cards.

Now you may be asking why tower card doesn't have a tower on it. Well in this case the tower is represented by the first bridge we see in the illustration. The silver bridge. The silver bridge was found in point pleasant west Virginia, and collapsed in December of 1967. Now before the collapse there were many sightings and encounters with mothman. A seven foot tall creature with large wings that didn't flap, even though it was known to fly, and large glowing red eyes. Now the last sighting of mothman was reported on the same day the silver bridge collapsed. Leading many to wonder if the mothman was possibly connected to the collapse of the bridge, and if so did it cause the collapse, or was it more a tiding of what was to happen in point pleasant?

The tower card when laid upright is an ill omen that can mean disaster in your near future, but when laid reversed it can mean crisis averted, and positive change for the future.

I feel that this card resonates with the story of the mothman because looked at one way, it was a cause of a major disaster, but looked at another way, it was warning that wasn't headed.

So I managed to meet my quotas for January, I had hoped I would have a few more studies done during the month, but that doesn't mean I won't be doing more in the future. So far so good. Moving into my studies for February I'll be looking into drawing heads, and doing face studies. Drawing scenes in one point perspective, and of course I'll have a load of gestures drawing to do.

Here are a few more art studies. The first is vash the stampede specifically from the original anime, the second was a piece I found on art station by an artist named GeoffGeoff. The third was also by an artist found on art station named Vladimir Matukhin FT. I think moving forward I'm going to specifically do more studies from Mike Mignola the creator of hellboy, Yasuhiro Nitghtow the creator of trigun, and possibly a little Alphonse Mucha. This is mostly as I'm supposed to focusing on the line work of the artist that I'm studying. Both GeoffGeoff, and Vladimir Matukhin FT, used a more painterly style that while something I would like to learn, also made it difficult to capture some of the details that they were able to produce in there art.

Some more figure studies I think I'm starting to see some progress, but I also feel like I'm getting a little hung up on some parts. I'm trying to focus on using long strokes of my pencil to get a more fluid line, but as you can see some of them are still using multiple lines. Moving forward I'm going to work towards having more confidence in my lines
