i wanna make an SMG4 au centered around Mario and Peach

a lot of aus ab Peach are more centered around SMG4 then Mario i find so i want it to be focused on them

heres my ideas

Mario: has been hiding his true feelings and is trying to push ppl away by acting like a nut but its not working since he cares about his friends too much. hes trying to push them away because he wants to save Peach but if he dies, he doesnt want anyone to care

Peach: Mr Puzzles and Mr WPNZ are pretty much keeping her on life support. she's been revived by them and is conscious enough to think but not to move. Shes mad at 4 for abandoning her but is more betrayed by Mario since he left her. She just wants to see him more than anything

i wont lie in terms of modern SMG4 i genuinely believe 2025 is the best version of it. the humor works better (less memey more character focused), more consistent personalities, sweet moments that fit a bit better (nice sentiment immediately followed up by a bit)

if i had to be nitpicky though, there is one thing i dont vibe with at all

.. are we supposed to think Mario's been a bad dude to the group this year?

like in "SMG4: LETS MAKE A DEAL" Mario was much more reasonable about selling Melony's book. 4 was focused on getting her book popular while Mario just wanted her to be happier (which 4 continued to interrupt) but like

Mario still apologized to 4?? despite... literally doing nothing wrong????

also in "SMG4: He Was Denied A Switch 2" i feel like it was implied Mario was being unreasonable for not wanting to share his new thing despite having it for presumably like 2 hours

also the Karen arc isnt part of this discussion since idk if i count Karen as part of the SMG4 crew. shes in the same boat as Swag and Chris for me: close to the crew but not part of it

only thing i wont defend is Mario accidentally almost killing 4 bc yeah lol

if they're gonna give Mario more maturity it'd be nice to see it explored a bit
