My personal art blog. What I don't post on my deviantart account I will most probably post here. I'm mostly OcxCanon, but like to do some OCxOC when I have the urge.

After watching the new Dark Crystal series I was inspired to make my own character. I dont know why, but I have a feeling that the ending of entire series will not be the same as the movie. Especially when Aughra keeps mentioning different paths to different ends.
I have not read the comics so I don't want any spoilers for that yet until I at least get to start reading it.

Different people following on my different blogs, still asking the same question
I’ve been thinking about making a chronic pain blog explaining my situation pain levels of the day, how I’m feeling and stuff like that. I dont know if anyone would be interested in it, not that I would do it for them. I thought it might help me get some stuff out in the open. Do people do this kind of thing?

I've had a lot of people ask me to explain my pain. I give them words, but they dont understand. While I was having a breakdown I did what I do best...vent art. Maybe it will help visualize something of how I feel chronically on a daily. Struggling to keep myself composed between the pain, aches, cold sensitivity, brain fog, forgetfulness (I legit forgot my name for a minute the other day), headaches, moodiness, insomnia, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, my frequent Ulcerative Colitis flares (will probably explain that in another post in the future) back pain, leg weakness, fatigue and much much more.
I've become good at hiding the pain so people dont think I'm a whiner, but that is a double edged sword. One side you dont want to worry anyone with how much pain you are in and dont want to seem more frail than you already are, but then there is the comments of "you are walking good today" and "you seem to be doing better" or "you are finally out of your wheelchair". Chronic pain doesnt just go away. I feel worthless and a huge burden on my mother (who has been a SUPER WOMAN during all this. I know it's hard on her too, but she has always been good and being there for a sick kid. My brother was super sick in his younger years)
The emotional and mental toll is just as bad. People worrying constantly makes you feel like you shouldn't be talking about how bad you hurt when they ask how you feel. People telling you, you dont look like you hurt, you must be fine...right? The pain doesn't just beat on your body, it beats on your mentality. Constant pain is constant stress and no matter what I do to relieve the pain it never goes away enough to feel relief.
Thankfully most of my doctors have been really good to me and knew there was more going on than just one thing or the other. Even though we are still searching for answers as to why my pain is so bad, there is NO RELIEF. Also not having insurance will change how some doctors will even SPEAK to you. I was blessed with the most supportive care team. (4 mvd's in mind and one physical therapist)
I just needed to really get this out and I may take it down in the future after I start feeling better...if I end up feeling better. I had just hit my breaking point and needed to share some of my experience with my chronic pain and illnesses.

The amazing magic of before and after. The one on the right was made almost a year ago and the one on the left was the other day. Proof that character development takes actual time. For those people who create OC’s and get ripped apart because they are too “Mary Sue”or “Look too much like [insert popular video game/Anime/movie character]” Those of you jumping to those conclusions, take a step back, see if there was actual thought and energy put into this beginning character. Most of the time it’s a new character and it’s still being worked on.
When I create a character it’s usually on a whim and I create how I think they should look based on the type of personality they have. I later go through raft after draft of designs and eventually I come to one I like.I do the same with personality and just general back story and life information. It’s a slow process. Sometimes seeing people in life help inspire someone to upgrade their character a little more. So if you see a character that looks almost basic, don’t start drama. If you are a true fan of that artist and their work you give constructive criticism and suggestions if the artist is open to them. Artists, be open to suggestions, especially from other artists and writers who have more experience. Don’t get too upset and don’t take the criticism personally, take it as a chance to learn something and grow. Use it as a chance to do a little research on something you haven’t thought of doing before.
Most of all be kind to each other. The way you speak to someone can make a person feel inferior and their love for drawing is over because someone decided to be extremely rude and hateful about it. Be supportive, be constructive, be understanding. I also understand there are people out there who push their underdeveloped character either because they don’t care about actually making a developed oc, or they just want some quick attention. I’ve seen some bad oc’s get a lot of attention, it’s like being brainwashed.
As artists, we should be helping each other grow and learn and have fun with what we do. I see it too many times where people are ridiculed for their OC because they wanted to share it. They might have been so proud with what they had at the time. A lot of characters get inspired from other characters, instead of yelling “THAT LOOKS LIKE THIS CHARACTER FROM THIS THING! COPY CAT! RIP OFF!” Instead simply say “Cool character:) I can tell [insert character] was a big inspiration. Is it ok if I give you some tips/criticism?” (I’ve had a lot of people in the past ask if they could criticize my stuff and I listened and tried to improve upon my work, thanked them and sometimes gave credit for the idea)
I didn’t mean to go on a rant there but...dang...I felt like I had to say it. It’s been bugging me for a while.

I'm diving back into this mess. It's a beloved mess and got a lot of mess in the fandom because of certain people making things difficult and ruining the experience for others. I don't know if it will ever resurface and become popular again, but I still hold 9 close to me and remember the better things. Without it wouldn't have met one of my absolutebest friends and maybe even the best person I know @yaoi-jeezuz

I was attempting some watercolor. I failed, but some parts look pretty good to me. A good friend of mine wanted me to draw her character and I tried to draw in a ghibli/pontac style

I’ve finally gotten around to finish coloring my disabled/chronically ill Haikyuu OC’s.
Akane at the top has chronic anemia. She has the biggest crush on Kageyama and plays piano and violin (her mom is a classical musician and pushes it on her daughter)
Rose is deaf and has a custom hearing aid (her mom and dad had it made for new years). She was a big fan of Moniwa’s and continues to support him and his team.
If you follow me on DA I will eventually finish the full bio’s for these girls. It takes me hours to make even one of them since I try to be thorough and accurate as possible. I have a couple other disabled and ill characters I will color. Chiyo who has type 2 diabetes and Hitomi who had her left leg amputated from a car accident.

When all you want to do is draw couple stuff and each one fuels you for the next. All my fan children need love and it makes me feel so good to draw all these~ A couple characters including Misa (the adorable cactus dress girl with Kirishima) and Miyu (precious sheep babe with Awase) belong to @yaoi-jeezuz I love her girls as much as I love my own <3

Oh look, my art is still alive! I mean, being obsessed with My Hero Academia right now I have created more characters than I need, but I love them all. If you don’t know these cuties The little jellyfish princess to the left is Umiko - @yaoi-jeezuz character, the right is her handsome prince, Caspien. We obsessed with the idea that they go to a yoga class together and sign up for an additional couples class.
