Idle pose test/prep for the next boss overhaul.
Making a spinosaurus in Nakayamas style was a bit of a challenge. I did make some unconventional design choices like making his tail be connected to his back compartment instead of his ass. In the lore I made up for him he was like a walking electricity generator in the past so his tail is technically an extension cord that connects to stuff to power everything up

Fresh new boss based on a pretty strange insect - a mole-cricket.
Hes a replacement for a boss that was in development hell since forever. I really wanted to include an insect in the boss roster so after some searching for unique and not used insects I came across the mole cricket. I swear the bug is like someone randomly spliced together two different 3d models.
He is heavily inspired by the bug brothers from zero 1 and 2. Instead of wind and electricity he is all about throwing rocks in your face, drilling, shooting drill mines, and homing rockets.
Keeping with IntiCreates tradition of giving bosses ridiculous names I named him Molecrik Mohorovich. 'Molecrik' is just mole and cricket fused together while 'Mohorovich' is a nod to the pioneering Croatian seismologist Andrija Mohorovičić.

Getting back in to the swing of things with Split Mushroom He went through a bunch of designs, but eventually me and another cool artist put our heads together and came up with a fresh look for the shroom. He will still have lots of his moves from X4 with a bunch added and expanded for a more chaotic boss fight.
He is pretty animated and has some goofy poses and animations to him as I wanted to keep him not super serious compared to the rest of the cast

A fun doodle I did for Valentines for our MMZ fan game.
I put these bosses together as a joke way back when I was coming up with designs for them and now them being a thing is implemented in to the plot of the game hehe.
Their designs are pretty much set, only minor tweaks since this doodle. Jelly lady is next on the list of animating after Skiver. She was one of the first bosses that I animated and completed for the game and despite the effort, she looks pretty rough both design wise and other things so she will be completely redone.

Some attack animations for the flying horse.
Already did these animations for the older model a while back, but I dont recall if I posted them here. I reused and modified the older animation for the new one and they turned out pretty nice. Simplified the smear frames by a lot.
Both of the attacks are going to be direct throwbacks to one of my fav Megaman 8/MM&B boss.

Some design doodles of Skiver I did on lunchbreak.
Need to do some proper colored references later if photoshop wont be freezing on me every 2mins.
Wanted him to have a big golden crest on the chest, but it didnt really fit on the pixel art form. He does have a bit of gold on the chest just not as visible. Also ended up doing a completely different crotch design.

Before and after of Skiver/Spiral Pegasus. Last time I worked on this guy was two years ago, more or less.
Dont know why the "floating in the air" pose was a massive pain to pull off, but think it looks good now. He looks waaay more MMZ style than my initial attempt. Think he had 4 design iterations. The other artist had two and these were my two versions.

Another enemy I worked on for the game ‘Shadow of the Orient”. 
Had to skip the second episode, but I got back to the third episode and made some more enemies. 
This bad boy started off as a melee type, but as he was developed the Leader asked me to make him in to a levitating type enemy. The scythe had to be dropped in favor of spooky green fire, which turned out pretty nice.

Chipping away at this guy.
The flying kick is a lot more dynamic now compare to how it was. Plus now you can actually see dynamic, individual fingers! 
The roundhouse had so many broken joints, head sinking in to the body and missing pixels in places its nuts. Also removed about two frames so now its a bit more snappy and faster. The mandatory reshading is there as well.
